    I found a company on ******** Marketplace and looked at their website. I called the number, and someone came out within about an hour. (Around noon on 4/26/25) but said he had to wait for the Boss. When the "Boss," ******* ***** came, we began discussing what needed to be done. Anyway, soon 4 large men are going through my yard with weed eaters and saws. They ruined some ferns by trying to cut them like ****** destroyed Bromeliads. Felled a palm tree without my consent, made a mess of my ornamental ginger, & left debris behind the house and shed. During my conversation with Mr. ***** he kept adding to what he said he would do and then mentioned an additional cost. He said, You won't recognize your yard when I am done. I had no clear idea what he was charging for and what work was included in the charge. Now, I feel that the situation had gotten out of control. I happen to be a relatively small, older woman, and I had 4 large men with weedwhackers and saws making a mess in my yard, doing whatever they wanted. I then told Mr. **** to stop. They had been on my property for about 3 hours. I said for today, what do I owe you? He said ********. I said, Are you kidding. Then he said he would come back on Monday to finish the work, grinding the stumps, trimming the Bougainvillea, and spreading mulch, which he never did. I told him I would pay him 1/2, which I felt was still too much, but I just wanted them off my property. I wound up paying, not him, but his girlfriend's company through ******. I blocked him from contacting me on ******** and blocked his calls. One of the men, the first one who came after I called, came by my house about a week or two later, asking for another ********. I told him I wasnt giving him any more money because he made a mess and didn't come back, besides, I had no contract, written or verbal. The man at the door then told me that Mr. **** had done this same thing with another woman in **********. He apologized and left.
