To Whom It May Concern,
I am submitting this complaint regarding Event Tickets Center for deceptive business practices and refusal to issue a refund.
On July 4th 2025, I purchased tickets for Holy Priest through ETC, mistakenly believing they were the original ticket vendor. The website appeared professional and gave no clear indication that it was a resale platform. I was also not made clearly aware that prices were in USD rather than CAD, leading to an unexpectedly high charge on my card.
I only realized the tickets were being resold — and at three times the original price — after the purchase, when I attempted to contact the company for clarification. I have not yet received the tickets, despite the show being 2 months, and when I requested a refund due to the misleading nature of the sale, my request was denied.
TCE’s lack of transparency in pricing, failure to identify themselves as a reseller up front, and refusal to offer support or a refund despite not having delivered the product is unethical. I would like to request the BBB's assistance in obtaining a full refund of $552.49 CAD.

Hi, ****. ETC states that we are a resale marketplace at the top of every page on our site, and that we are a resale marketplace where prices may be above face value at the top of every page on our site - as well as on the top right above the venue map, and again above the "Place Order" button at checkout. In the same spot on the top right above the venue map where you can find out resale marketplace disclaimer, you can also see that all prices are in USD. This is also explained above the "Place Order" button at checkout.
The estimated delivery date is stated at the first page of the checkout screen, below where you choose your payment method and on the notes of the listing itself, blow the "Continue to Checkout" button after choosing which set of tickets you wish to purchase. To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Event Ticket Center (ETC) regarding what I believe to be deceptive and misleading business practices.On 7/3/2025 I purchased two tickets through the Event Ticket Center website for an event taking place on September 20, 2025. I paid approximately $150 per ticket, totaling around $300. At the time of purchase, nowhere on the checkout page was it clearly disclosed that Event Ticket Center is a third-party reseller, nor was there any indication that the price I was paying was significantly above the tickets actual face value of $50 per ticket.Shortly after completing my purchase, I discovered that the face value of the tickets is only $50 each. This means I was charged three times the actual value, without any transparent notice or fair warning.Further research revealed that Event Ticket Center has a history of similar complaints, and that many customers have reported being misled into paying inflated prices under the impression they were purchasing tickets directly from a primary seller. This lack of transparency is, in my opinion, intentionally deceptive and exploits consumers who are not aware they are dealing with a reseller.I believe that this practice violates fair consumer standards and contributes to price gouging in the event ticket industry. I am requesting that the Better Business Bureau investigate this companys sales practices and encourage them to implement clearer disclosure policies regarding their reseller status and pricing markups.Additionally, I would like to request a full refund or other resolution, as I would not have knowingly paid three times the tickets actual value had I been properly informed.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.Business Response

I purchased 2 tickets to go see the Church on July 21st 2025 at Hall Center in San Francisco, CA. Tickets have been postponed for a year, to July 6, 2026. My order #********. I wrote to the company thinking that they would offer me a refund. The company responded on June 27, they said "I should mention that event postponement does not give customers the option to request a refund, per the policies agreed to at the time of purchase. Refunds are only available upon event cancellation or if the seller's do not fulfill their obligation to deliver." First, I don't know if I'm going to be able to attend a year from now, so I would like to get my money back. Second, I paid double for 2 tickets through them, totalling $264, as I found after purchasing that they are not an official vendor of the church or August Hall. And third, I don't have the money available right now to just sit and wait for a year, I'm going through a tough financial divorce at the moment.
I have added 3 documents, 2 of them being the tickets I paid for through Event Tickets Center and 1 document is from another company called ************* showing the difference in pricing.
Please advice as to what if anything you can do in this case.

Hi, ***. We could not find any information that the concert had been postponed on the band's or the venue's website. Additionally, ****** and the first support agent you talked to, ******, are correct. On our Terms and Conditions, it states that:
- IF AN EVENT IS CANCELLED, you will be given a full refund minus any delivery charges if the tickets have already been delivered.
- IF AN EVENT IS POSTPONED OR RESCHEDULED, and the original tickets are valid for entry at the time of the rescheduled event, your order will not qualify for a refund.

I am rejecting this response because: I first bought two tickets for July 21, 2025, however the show is been postponed until June 6, 2026. Every time I have seen them, I have always purchased my tickets within 3 months of the date. Moreover, The Church have NEVER put up tickets 1 YEAR in advance. I will never do business with Event Tickets Center, I think in this case your no refund policy is wrong for keeping the purchasers money for an entire year, especially when we the consumer have to stretch our money longer these days, it is unfair.
Attached is the email where you acknowledged that there was a postponement of the US tour and the show had been rescheduled for 2026.
please refund my money so I can decide if I want to purchase tickets next year or not!Regards,

On June 25, I purchased three tickets to Earlybirds show in Los Angeles for Nov. 8, 2025 for $237.60 (includes a high fee per ticket) through Event Tickets Center website. The price charged was much higher than the market value (not just the face value). I could purchase those same genral admission tickets for $40 per ticket today.
I called to cancel or at least have the difference refunded, but they claimed it was market value, which is untrue. They knew it was a problem because they offered my $20/ticket partial refund. I did not accept their offer and am disputing the charge on my credit card instead.Business Response

I purchased 4 tickets to the Bronco Kansas'City Football game in ****** on Nov 16. I did this via Ticket Center company. I paid $4,559. 50. I live in ******* so after paying the fee, the company indicated I would receive the tickets e tickets on Nov 15, 2025 one day before the game.I cant make airline and hotel reservations unless I receive the tickets now as if I wait 1 day before the game I am not sure I will receive the tickets. I discovered after paying for the tickets that it is non- refundable. That seemed an unethical business practice given that the Ticket Center has 5 months to resell them if they refund my money. I purchased event tickets and was only sent an email stating that Tickets will be ready for delivery by a date that is subject to change. Hi, *******. The only issue communicated to our support teams were concerns over our All Sales are Final policy. This policy is agreed to at the time of checkout. The estimated delivery date was advertised in the seller's notes of the listing, and is a conservative (the tickets wont' come later than this date) estimate based on the fact that platforms like ticketmaster, or venues/artists may have restrictions on when tickets can be transferred. On 6/29/2025, I attempted to purchase tickets for an event only to be routed to this site and misled about the availability of tickets, causing me to purchase tickets at a grossly inflated price. I immediately attempted to call the merchant and request that they reverse the transaction; however, they refused. They attempted to bribe me off with offers of $60 and $80 refunds, which goes to show just how gross the profit margins on their service fees are $137.60.Initial Complaint

I purchased “Premium tickets” and was promised same or better tickets. They did not provide these tickets. When I complained they refused to refund my money. A map of the venue’s floor plan clearly states that I was NOT placed in the premium area. They placed me in level 1 section 3 which is clearly marked as not premium seating. I spoke to a supervisor yesterday and She said I would get a full refund and when I called this morning to check in if was being processed the rep had no record of this conversation. The supervisor’s name was Seniha. Your promise and obligation is to provide same or better tickets. You did not fulfill you obligation so I would like my money back.
