A representative came to the business and claimed to have worked with us for years (false) he lied about many other things and got my signature. When I called to have the policy cancelled he said no problem it would be cancelled the following day and I would receive an email confirming. I never received an email and when i tried to call him back I got sent straight to voicemail it appears that he has blocked my number I cannot reach out to him, the 1(800) number or the email provided on their website I have not heard from them in 3 days now and was supposed to have gotten an email 2 days ago confirming my cancellation.Business Response

This was submitted to the submission department on 8/23/2024 and was submitted for cancellation the same day. The customer received an cancellation confirmation this morning informing them that this agreement has been cancelled and their services will remain as they were prior to signing up with us.
The broker's office was informed ouf this cancellation. I have provided this BBB Complaint information to them as well to confirm with the customer that their agreement has been cancelled and their services will remain as they were prior to signing.

07-29-2024 UNITED ENERGY SERVICES A representative from UES came to my restaurant and promised me that i will always get the lowest price of gas. After i sign the contract, he showed me the price and it was much higher than expected. I requested form him to cancel. he told me that i have to call the 1800 number provided. I tried to call and leaving massages and also emailing the company, but there is no respond. I need to get out of this nightmare. if anyone can help me.all this happen in this morning. the representative told me that i have 7 days period to cancel. but no one is answering my call or returning my messages or emails.Business Response

The customer was in their recision period and the agreement has been cancelled.

I never received a phone call from this company. also, the sale's rep was suppose to call me and he never did. I called my gas company and requested form them to not allow this company to change anything in my account. The false promise of them offering the lowest price for gas is a fraud. I believe this company should be investigated for fraud.

I received notification that the customer has rejected our response. I'm not exactly sure what more he's requesting. He asked that we not return to his business, we haven't. He asked that nothing change with his current provider, it didn't. When we researched, he was still in his recission period, so the agreement was canceled without issue.
Our customer care team member tried to reach him both by phone and email but without contact. We emailed him with the information as outlined above.

This business has repeatedly sent 'representatives' over the past several months, stating that our contract with them will expire soon, or that it has already expired. I have looked through 4 years of our ComEd bills - at no point in time was our company ever under contract with them. When we decline to provide copies of our ComEd bills, they push back harder and continue to request copies. We do not have a contract with this business and they are not *********** copies of anything.They are advised that we are not interest - they continue pushing. We advise them to mail whatever pamphlets and advertising they have, and we will get back to them if we are interested - they say that is not possible and continue pushing for invoice copies and for someone to renew a non-existent contract. We ask for a supervisor's contact - they can't provide one. We request to be removed from their list - they say that can't be done. The latest visitor said they will be back soon to talk further. The only identification that has ever been provided is a flash of an ID badge, which is either not visible or hanging from the bottom of the visitor's coat, out of easy sight. USE - United Energy Services is the only piece of information we have been able to obtain, the visitors avoid using their own name.We have advised them repeatedly that we are not interested and asked them to not return, yet they continue to do so. At this point, they are harassing our company, our employees, and being disruptive to our day-to-day business operations.The only acceptable resolution will be for UES to stop sending their reps to our place of business.Business Response

A UES broker comes in to my store every week to try to solicit business from me. I have told him several times that I am not interested. His response today was "they are going to keep sending me back here unless I can verify your bill". That is none of their business. They are a third party broker. They are not *********** any of my private information. It is the most annoying thing to have customers in line and have to repeat myself over and over again to the same guy pushing the same nonsense proposal every week. Shady scam artists at work. The company sends our representatives claiming to be with the Energy Provider. They do not use the words ***** but they allude that they are here to talk about the Energy Supply. When you decline the conversation you get ripped apart and told that we're being put on delinquent status. We're not a customer. I asked for your license to sell door to door and one was not provided. I will be sending this to the police as I did get the license plate of your employee and fake business card they said I could take a photo of which was absolutely fake. Regardless of the resolution the police will receive this information.Business Response

We are sorry you had a negative experience but did want to help clarify a few issues. United Energy Services is able to affect the Energy Supply you receive through your utility or another third party supplier. The energy supply is the commodity charge on your bill that brokers and suppliers can quote you different rates and terms on. United Energy Services has relationships with over 20 suppliers and can help get pricing from those suppliers in an effort to find a competitive rate and term that best fits your individual needs. Your utility will still charge you for the distribution of that supply and still read your meters, handle any emergencies, most of the time still bill you for both of those charges, and maintain the infrastructure. The business card is supposed to be a badge and should be laminated and in a lanyard but is not fake.Customer Answer

The employee in question walked into our business claiming that we are already a client. Said he was putting us on delinquent. I would like a number to talk to a live person. This is not an acceptable business process. Your employee is not adhering to your standards or the legal law. I asked for proof of solicitation permit in the township. They refused.

We are a public library in Illinois who signed up with ****** ****** ******** in December of 2022. Originally, the sales rep said that they were working with Comcast customers to fix an issue with their bills. I showed them my bill, and they said that there were three lines on there that should only be one line, and that they would help me get it fixed.
They did fix that portion of our bill, but in doing so we were reclassified as a retail customer. This eliminated the "ordinance consideration" that used to cancel out 90%+ of the cost of our bill each month. Our bill is now thousands of dollars a month higher without the ordinance consideration that used to always be there. The sales rep specifically told me that the ordinance consideration would not be affected. I tried for a long time to reach someone to discuss this issue and did eventually talk to someone who reiterated that he didn't think the ordinance consideration should have been affected. He said he would look into the issue for us, and hasn't been heard from since in over a month.Business Response

We've reengaged with the customer to get more/current copies of the bills to figure out about this credit they claim they were getting. I'm not sure we have any appropriate answer except, we don't think we did what they think we did. DE also asked for bills because they weren't sure either.
