Someone theft my name and information and opened a lifeline in my name. I have life line with assurance wireless not unity. The person s account is ************ I never had that phone number ************ I never signed up with unity and I dont live in *************. Please shut down ************ and mark as fraudulent I never had Unity wireless or American wireless and it keeps happening with these companies.please stop approving applications I only have Assurance wireless.Business Response

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to report a concerning issue with Unity Wireless, a company that has been sending me unsolicited emails claiming I need to submit documents for an application I never made. I am not a resident of **********, as their emails suggest, but live on the **********. I am alarmed by this situation, as it appears to be a potential ******* provide context, I have never applied for any services with Unity Wireless, nor am I enrolled in the Lifeline program, which they seem to reference. I contacted ******** to verify, and they confirmed they have no record of my name or application. They referred me back to Unity Wireless, but the company does not answer phone calls or provide any means to speak with a representative. As of yesterday, October 12, 2025, I received another email from Unity Wireless requesting document uploads, which I find highly suspicious.After researching online, I discovered multiple complaints from others labeling Unity Wireless as a potential scam. Unlike those cases, I have no prior interaction with this company, making these emails even more concerning. I worry this could be an attempt to collect personal information fraudulently.I have been unable to resolve this directly due to Unity Wirelesss lack of responsiveness. I am reaching out to the BBB to request an immediate investigation into this companys practices to protect myself and others from potential harm.Please advise on next steps or additional information you need from me. On August 25, 2025, applied for a phone with Unitity Wireless because they were advertising that if you are on financial assistnace or ********* snap you can get a phone for free. So I applied and gave all my legal identification, social security info. and a copy of my snap card. After three weeks I still never received a phone. Received an email stating that they had activated my services but I believe sent out a sim card instead which I did not get also. Aftet trying to call the numbers listed in customer service realized those numbers are just answering machines. File a complaint with consumer affairs and they told me this company is ran by somone else. If they are going to work for our government they need to be accountable to follow the government rules when it comes to sales and advertising and not deceived the customers I want them to corret the problem as soon as possible. Did a review online with Trust Pilot and customer service lied and said the State of California had my account block with lifeline. I called the State of ****************************** and was told that is not true.Business Response

I paid $50 for an "unlimited" plan. Which was supposed to include "unlimited" data. After 2 weeks, I ran out of datA. This is blatant false advertising. I contacted unity and asked for the unlimited data I paid for or a refund. I was given more data, but still ran out again.Business Response

Lifeline Account: Your Lifeline account is active, and you still have data available that has not yet been used.
Prepaid Account: Your prepaid account was disconnected on 9/21/25 due to a failed renewal. This account was only active for one month, during which you paid the initial plan fee.
Please note that you were on our unlimited plan during that time. While the plan is unlimited, as stated in our Terms & Conditions, it is subject to network management practices. This means that after a certain amount of high-speed data usage, speeds can be reduced (throttled), but service is not disconnected. In your case, your connection was slowed after reaching the high-speed data threshold, but you remained connected to the network.
We want to assure you that Unity Wireless does not engage in false advertising. Our plan details, including any usage thresholds and speed reductions, are outlined in our Terms & Conditions for transparency.

I have been attempting to contact a company to assist with getting access to my account so I can continue to have phone services with them but their IVR explains what I can do to resolve my issue and then hangs up.I have been attempting to contact them via their chat system as well which I do get answers on but it's hours later and then they close it, don't email me about a agent finally getting to me(I have checked my spam folder as well as junk and promotional emails) and have told me to call them instead to verify who I am.Business Response
