    I recently purchased two pajama sets as a Mother’s Day gift for my mom. One set arrived promptly and without issue. The second set was scheduled for delivery on 25Jun2025. While the pajama top was delivered as expected, I received an email on 25Jun2025 stating that the matching bottoms had been cancelled from my order.
    I was disappointed to learn of this cancellation at the same time the top was delivered, without prior notice or explanation. It’s concerning that customers are not notified of such changes to their order in a timely manner. This was a gift for my amazing mother but is unfortunately just an inconvenience at this point.
    I reached out to customer service via chat and was informed that the top could be returned by mail, but would incur a $7.00 return fee. Given the circumstances, this does not seem fair or appropriate. This will be my last purchase from Soma and I will never recommend this brand to anyone. Gross business practices all the way around.

    follow up to the customer’s review, it was an item from our semiannual sale and
    it did cancel. Since it did not ship, the customer was not charged. The other 3
    items did ship but the issue may have been trying to have two matching sets.
    Our customer service representative is reaching out to see if we can further
    assist.

    I ordered 4 bras and 5 panties all in my size. The bras were very tight and the panties had a silicone lining along the edges that I didn't see in any description. I had to return all items. Since I received a buy 5 deal on the panties the company charges $7 to ship back. Then, they send an email that they received the return and have 2-3 weeks to refund the purchase. I called to check on that status of the refund only to be told to wait one more day and then call back. I asked to speak to a manager and then all of a sudden received my refund minus $10.15. I had to call again. you would think by now they would waive the shipping fee for my hassle...no. The rep refunded the $3.15. I will never order again....horrible return/refund and customer service!!!

    As a follow up to the review that was submitted by ***** ** ******, she was refunded for the $7.00. We are sorry that she had to contact us more than once as she qualified for the free shipping/return as she purchased Full Priced items and shouldnt have been charged.

    Apparently my review got deleted so I am writing another one. I received a VM regarding my one star review, but it didn't nullify the situation so I am sharing what happened in more detail: I do not live very close by a Soma store; in fact, the closest one is 40 minutes away. There is a Chico's that is 20 minutes away from me that has a Soma inside of it, so I thought that they could easily make my return. However, I was informed when I walked in that because they do not carry the items that I was returning, they couldn't actually return it using their system BUT they did offer to help me return the items with the help of customer service employee over the phone.The CS person assigned to us was a nightmare to work with and the Chico's employee was extremely apologetic to me during the entire return process and when we wrapped up, the Chico's employee said that if anything is wrong with the return, I will just have to drive to the nearest Soma to clear up the problems. The CS person said that they would follow up with an email regarding the return that had transpired, but that it might not arrive until 1-2 days later (which should have been a huge red flag). My hope was that the ** person was competent enough to handle a return by phone with the help of an employee that works for the same company that they do, but they could not. In fact, I was shorted money. So now I have to drive 40 minutes to a Soma location to fix what **************** neglected to do correctly the first time, and I no longer have the items in hand, so I have no idea how going to Soma will fix the situation, but the Chico's employee who assisted me said to call her if I have any issues while at the Soma store. Mind you, this was after I contacted Soma with questions through their online contact function and sent two emails that went unreturned. So I did my due diligence with this company, and now I am out money.

    I have never in my LIFE had such terrible online and phone customer service. Shame on you, Soma. Your in-store people are fantastic but trying to contact your team online or by phone is an absolute nightmare. I ended up doing a return by phone with the help of a Chicos/Soma associate (the Soma was within a Chicos store) and she and I were both completely put off by the customer service we endured. I also didnt receive all of the money back that I should have on my orders, so now I have to go to a proper Soma location to remedy the situation. Hopefully I can get my money back.

    First time placing an order, followed the guidelines as to sizing and sadly none of the items received fit.Apparently my items were not returnable, not even for an exchange.Instead they offer 10% on your next purchase....ABSURD!!

    I have been purchasing from Soma online for years, 20 years or so. about 5 years ago something changed in their production of a style of bra. I returned it no hassle.November 2023, I purchased over $300. Same sizes as all these years, the gowns I buy in size small. Three new ones delivered, I cut off the price tags NOT the labels. I was about to laundry them, but decided to try it on because it looked baggier. And yes it was! Soma is refusing to exchanged unworn items purchased within the same month.I am no longer shopping at Soma. I spend $500 a year with them. For a lady on SS that's alot of money!

    Quality of bras has dropped. I purchased two “Stunning Support Full Coverage” bras last year and BOTH had plastic inserts that broke. I purchased them online after the young salesperson in the store was completely unhelpful. When I brought the first one back to the store last spring to show them how it broke (I expected nothing) the sales clerk told me the bra was manufactured in 2001. How is that possible? She suggested a new style and I bought two, same size, same style but did not try on the second one and then found that second one was at least one size smaller but since I cut the tag off I was out of luck.
