She does not show you the tax return prepared for you, and does not comply with *** Form **** which states that the client must examine a copy of the income tax return, and sign that the client believes all is accurate. The tax preparer, Catherine, will not show the client anything until paid for her services. In talking about what she would do for me, she mentioned something I believe might be not legal. She is in a hurry to process numbers and get paid, and ignores the clients needs. Her objective seems to be working numbers to get the client a big refund. She told me in her office that she would process the data which I gave her, and we could complete this job via mail. When she learned that I was a retired certified accountant and wanted thoroughly to examine her work, she said she is no longer interested in me as a client. There are too many red flags for me to want to do business with her single proprietor business. I ask that she return to me the few documents which I left with her in her office as well as the $420 check I graciously gave her for her work in advance, and return these items to me via ***** I am not signing any papers giving her permission to file my taxes for me when I have only a summary report and no details to support a full refund. I am not making the long drive back to her office. She does not do her work there. Just put the documents and my $420 check in the mail to my home, and we are done. Then I can go to a big CPA firm with tax attorney and many tax accountants with a CPA to check all work done on my return. An easy solution is this: to mail me my documents and my check, and go about your non-compliant business with the *** and clients who do not understand what is required of them. Good luck to all.

Everything she just wrote is an absolute lie (I have proof)

When clients come to see me,  I always schedule an appointment for them to pick up the return and pay for my services. I never ask for any money in advance. She told me it was to far for her to drive. So I accommodated her by telling her I would send her the Form **** I need to have signed before I E-file to IRS, a Tax Summary showing line by line info and my invoice and I would call her to discuss on the phone. She then emailed me after receiving it and said that she wanted The Returns (2) Federal and *********************** prior to signing anything, so I scheduled an appointment for her to come in, she said no that she wants me to mail the returns first. So I stated that I do not release any returns until I get paid. And she responded in an email (I have all copies) with a derogatory  email. At this point I emailed her and said that we are not a good fit and that I would be terminating our business relationship and that she can pick up all her documents she left with me with my receptionist, as I was not about to spend money on postage I already spent almost 45 minutes with her not mentioning the time spent preparing the returns (2). The last email I received from her this morning was that she is mailing the check to me. And now I get this complaint. I again will email her and tell her she can pick up her documents with my receptionist and when I get her check I am shredding it.
