We contracted with Ameritech Flooring and Insulation *** also known as AFI Sprayfoam Insulation to insulated the attic at our vacation house in ****** in April 2022. We flew back to ************* just prior to the work being done that month. On 4/27 we were made aware from a friend checking on the house that there was a hole through the ceiling in back bedroom approximately 1x2. I immediately contacted **** the owner of AFI of the issue. He at first denied it could be his workers that caused the hole through the ceiling. I sent him a picture that showed it was obvious that the hole was caused by someone stepping through the ceiling from the attic. I also explained that the house was vacant the whole month other than his workers, and with the Sheetrock hanging down from the edge of the hole you could clearly see that the ceiling was stepped through from above. He then agreed to pay for the damages. The first week of May I hired a trusted contractor who I have known and used for the last 10 years. He repaired the ceiling, matched the existing texture perfectly, and painted the entire ceiling in that bedroom. (The entire ceiling in that room needed to be painted in order to not show up as evidence of a patch.) I proceeded to send **** a picture of the repair and a copy of the invoice for $450. I also sent him our ************* address. He thanked me through a text for that information. A few weeks went by, and after not seeing a check I called ****, he informed me that he sent the check. I explained I have not received it. He said he would check on it with his office. On June 17th I texted him and informed him that I still havent seen the check and havent been able to reach him by phone numerous times. He called me and said he was out of the country but would take care of it. On August 23rd I texted him my address again to make sure he had it right. He responded to that text with ok. Since that time **** has ignored all phone calls and text messages.

Yes I did have to pay $450 for the repairs we had a secretary she supposed to send a check payment but then she quit later in august and probably she never send the check !
I did give them a discount of $500 for the insulation job and they made payments thru a credit card and I never charged them for credit card fee! But Ill  mail them the check myself  of $450 today to the address I have on text message he send it to me !

    Better Business Bureau:
Any discussion of a discount was made prior to hiring AFI. In addition, we would have happily paid by check if asked.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory.
    Sincerely,
