Per the attached order the physician requested an MRI for lumbar and sacral which is 2 procedures. The patient's insurance charges copayments per procedure not per diem. The second copay is the patient's responsibility. The patient's account has documented conversations with the billing office on 3/21/25 and 4/9/25 along with speaking to our Senior Physician Administrator on 4/23/25 and 4/24/25.

I was very sick and went to MD Now and she sent me to Radiology Regional, for an r ray of my chest to see if I had pneumonia in my lungs she said she could not give me any medicine for pneumonia until I went and got an X-ray of my chest to make sure I had it. MD urgent Care said they did not have an X-ray tech at their location. So I went to Radiology Regional and they took an X-ray of my chest and read it and said my lungs were clear. So the physician on duty said she was not going to give me anything because they told her I didnt have pneumonia. Date of service was 12/04/24. Went to get X-rays on 12/05/24. Mean time I could not get a doctors appointment at my doctors office until the next Tuesday and she sent me to millium to get a cat scan and I had pneumonia in two spots on my lung. So my insurance company paid Radiology Regional ***** for the chest X-ray which they either took wrong or the technician read it wrong when I did have pneumonia, my lungs were not clear as they stated. So I feel like the ***** is enough and feel like I should not have to pay the ***** for them reading a X-ray wrong. I was extremely sick.

I pay $800 a month out of pocket for commercial insurance. When scheduling my appointment for a scan I asked them to run my insurance & provide me with the cost of the scan. I was told they would run a test claim the day prior to my appointment. I called the day prior & was told they ran a test ********** portion was $0. A month later I receive a bill for $607 & that is after running it through my insurance. I contacted the billing department & was told by the billing supervisor that they do not run test claims & do not tell patients how much their procedures will cost unless your self pay. Im sorry but that is just not right, every patient should be aware of their charges prior to receiving any services. If I had know the cost I would have refused the procedure & gone elsewhere. How is it that medical facilities can just charge what they want without advising the patient of the charges? This should be illegal & this is why healthcare is as bad as it is. They state they stand by price transparency but they do not. I can not afford this bill & now am being threatened of being sent to collections.

Test claims are never sent to insurance companies to provide procedure costs. The ************** has one documented call from this patient, and it was not with a supervisor.  The patient's insurance is reprocessing the claim due to their error in processing the claim to the subscriber's deductible. Patient must allow 30 to 45 days for this review.

      Complaint: 23030322

My 14 year old daughter received an MRI in November of 2024. We were told that our insurance would cover all but $200 co-pay, so we paid the balance of $200 the day that we were seen. Later, I noticed that the insurance EOB said that we owed less than $200, so I tried to contact the office to ask about a refund. The billing department is nearly impossible to reach, and as I was traveling internationally and could not keep calling repeatedly from ****, I decided to file a complaint here with BBB. My complaint was answered quickly, and a refund check was sent out. Shortly after that, I received another bill for the same procedure! I contacted the insurance company to find out a) why there would be a second bill, and b) why the out-of-pocket cost was so much higher than the first bill. ***************** said I was double billed, and the second bill/claim should not have been sent. I do not believe this was an accident; I believe the second bill was sent in retribution because I had opened the previous complaint with BBB.

      Sincerely,

      ****** *******

The information you provided is incorrect. The patient should review the ***'s received from her insurance company, which state they took their initial payment back and reprocessed the patients claim. We do not have a balance due for this patient.

Has been resolved I finally received the report of findings just today. More than a week late, but it is now resolved, thank you so much for your help.

      Sincerely,

****** **********y upload images to the patient with no results or report. I look at the images and am left trying to figure out if something is abnormal or normal, trying to look up normal and abnormal CT results online to compare. It just seems like this is not good practice to send the imaging with zero results report. My follow up with my physician is now one day from now and we have no results to discuss recommendations based on this CT scan.

I am rejecting this response because I informed this facility that *********** had Sunshine Health as his primary insurance since birth. He briefly had Florida Blue under my name which was then removed. I informed the facility to use his Sunshine Health and was told the Florida Blue would be fine and I said it would be fully covered under his ******** as all of his medical expenses since birth. They must have refused to enter both insurance info because they make more from the Florida Blue. They say that they have up to 4 years to bill us. We had no idea this was even an issue. They are so incompetent that it took them 3 years to finally tell us of this balance due? How unethical. When I tried several times to correct this with the right insurance they said that they were unable to bill it correctly as it was too late yet they can still send me balances from 3 years ago. Unethical. Unprofessional. They scammed me because they got more for Florida Blue. *********** was added to ************ from my past employer for about a month due to dental care he needed. Again, this facility refused to bill and even make a copy of his Sunshine Health.

      Sincerely,

      ***** *****

I am rejecting this response because: Update to complaint:

1/4/2025 I received a final notice bill dated 12/27/2024 with a message that if not paid within 30 days it will be turned over to a collections agency.

1/6/2025 I received a voice mail from Radiology Regional at 1:44 PM. They are resubmitting the claim to Floride Blue and will notify me of the results. They left the same non-responsive phone number to call if their are questions. (There was no information provided about them using the correct code that matched the original prescription provided by my physician).

      Sincerely,

******* ******** this issue as no one seems to be available.I mailed the bill and a copy of my timeline file to Radiology Regional at the address on their bill. I subsequently received a voicemail to call them at a different phone number than was listed on the bill. I called back the following day and received the same phone message that no one is available. I located the address of their local billing office. On December 11, 2024, I drove to that office and spoke to a billing supervisor. She told us that Florida Blue was the problem as the procedure ***** should have been covered as it is a lower number than *****. She said that she would contact Florida Blue and call me to let me know the result. She should know by that ************ of December 17, 2024 there have been no calls or messages on my cell or landline phones from Radiology Regional.
