      I purchased a vehicle on. Sept. 9th 2022. Never received title. Title is still in previous owners name and has a lien on it so at any given time the lien holder can take the vehicle from me that I paid for. I have asked multiple times to please fix this or I want to return the vehicle because they guarantee a title or a full refund plus 500. I called today and was told they basically cant do anything for selling me a car they never had rights to sell. I have waited long enough I believe its time to get resolution instead of excuse after excuse.

      Royal Auction Group is requesting the complaint made by *************************** be removed due to the fact that his statements are inaccurate and libelous.

      **************** was not the individual who made the contract to purchase the vehicle referred to in his complaint. The vehicle was won by another individual at our auction, and it was disclosed to the bidders, both in writing and verbally that the vehicle was being sold with a certificate of destruction. ******* Statute Section 319.30(3)(b) states that vehicles sold with a certificate of destruction cannot be titled and are only to be used for parts or scrap. 

      The vehicle was sold legally according to ******* Title Laws regarding impound vehicles received by municipalities.

      *******the licensee either shall have in his or her possession or control a duly assigned certificate of title from the owner in accordance with the provisions of chapter 319, from the time when the motor vehicle is delivered to the licensee and offered for sale by him or her until it has been disposed of by the licensee, or shall have reasonable indicia of ownership or right of possession, or shall have made proper application for a certificate of title or duplicate certificate of title in accordance with the provisions of chapter 319************&

       

       

       

       

      . A motor vehicle dealer may not sell or offer for sale a vehicle in his or her possession unless the dealer satisfies the requirements of this subsection. Reasonable indicia of ownership shall include a duly assigned certificate of title; in the case of a new motor vehicle, a manufacturers certificate of origin issued to or reassigned to the dealer; a consignment contract between the owner and the dealer along with a secure power of attorney from the owner to the dealer authorizing the dealer to apply for a duplicate certificate of title and assign the title on behalf of the owner; a court order awarding title to the vehicle to the dealer; a salvage certificate of title; a photocopy of a duly assigned certificate of title being held by a financial institution as collateral for a business loan of money to the dealer (floor plan); a copy of a canceled check or other documentation evidencing that an outstanding lien on a vehicle taken in trade by a licensed dealer has been satisfied and that the certificate of title will be, but has not yet been, received by the dealer; a vehicle purchase order or installment contract for a specific vehicle identifying that vehicle as a trade-in on a replacement vehicle; or a duly executed odometer disclosure statement as required by Title IV of the Motor Vehicle Information and ************ Act of **** (Pub.       This business had no authority to SELL this vehicle as I stated previously the vehicle is dyill registered in the previous owners name! Per VIN check.  There is no salvage title that exists on the **************** or any other state. 

      Sale WAS ILLEGAL! 

      REGUARDLESS OF WHO PURCHASED IT YOU HAD NO RIGHTS TO SELL IT.

      As previously stated, the vehicle was sold with Certificate of Destruction. The statute **************** is referring to is for titled vehicles. This vehicle was an impound with NO VALID TITLE. Therefore, sold with a Certificate of Destruction. This information was disclosed to the buyer prior to sale. **************** fails to understand how ******* Title *********, and his lack of understanding is not basis for a valid or reasonable complaint. Royal Auction Group went above and beyond in order to help ****************, even offering to resale the vehicle for him. **************** refused this gesture.

      Aug 20 2023 Purchase two car from auction. I received one title and to date I HAVE NOT reveived the 2nd title today is 10/6/23. Ive reached out many times to Royal Auction Group and attempt to resove the situation. Ive made 3 trips to Forth ****** from ***** and to date nothing has been done. ***** on every occation insisted that the tile was held up at the *** in Telleshasse and would be releasesd soon. Today I called Telleshasse *** and was told that they wouldn't issue a title and sent me to *** (where the car was purchased) and Hillsbrough (where I live ) couny. All three *** has NO recored of a title request via Royal Auction Group for this car after review of the Vin#. Additionally the car is still registered to the previous owner. At NO TIME has Royal Auction Group reached out to me via an email or phone call. *** also requested the owner's email and contact information and was told this was not avaialble - I nee HELP

      These are the shadiest people I have ever met they will bold face lie right to your face. Do not believe if it says runs and drives do not take their word for it is not true. Bought a car. The whole electrical system is jacked up. Will not run. Bought a side by side and they said they drove it in which is a lie because the one right beside it also said runs and drives and it just so happened that the starter spun over not hitting the gears. The one I got will not even start refused to give my money back. I bought these items online. My stupidity taking their word for it. I should have left when I come in and they would not let me look at what I had bought online until I paid for. It should have threw up a red flag. When someone tells me runs and drives it should run and drive buyer beware. These people are bottom of the barrel what goes around always comes back around

      At Royal Auction Group, we do our best to describe the condition the assets arrive in from our consignors. However, all our items are sold AS/IS with no guarantees of condition and therefore we recommend several times in our terms and conditions to inspect these items before you bid. We are sorry that the items did not meet your expectation, but it seems you wanted to inspect them AFTER you bid and NOT BEFORE you bid as we highly recommended.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      They said runs and drives online I bid on the 2 items to run and drive and neither of them ran and drove. They are misrepresenting items online to make them bring more money to make more fees and they also charge 3 percent more to buy online on top of the 10 percent. They are fraudulent posting their descriptions online and should not be able to put runs and drives if it doesn't.

Because we are not the owner of the items and do not maintain the items, we highly recommend all bidders to inspect the items themselves before they bid. All items are sold AS/IS and inspection prior to bidding is the responsibility of the bidder as agreed upon prior to bidding.

      On March 18, 2023 my wife and I purchased a quad (UTV) from Royal Auction Group (RAG). The listing stated this 4WD UTV ran and drove. We drove from ******** to ******* to pick up our unit. It was NOT as advertised. It did not run, I needed to go buy a new battery (The employee said it ran when it got here) and the 4WD did not work. I asked for a refund due to it not being as advertised and we just go our own way - but here's the ***** BEWARE of this company. They have their lawyer on speed dial and left my wife and I with the impression they have these problems often. I shared other RAG listings where they stated the 4WD did NOT work in the description...however in the description of the item we bought it clearly said it ran and drove. I would not have bid as high if the listing disclosed the unit did NOT run and the 4WD did not work. I'm sure not much can be done without paying lawyers a bunch of money so we now have it being repaired (estimate is $2,500.00) . I hope this gets logged by the BBB and others read this and stay away from this poorly ran business with no hesitation to mislead in their item descriptions.

      While we are sorry to hear that our customer is not satisfied, we are a government and private consignment auction.  Every item is sold AS/IS where is and those terms are agreed upon by the buyer prior to bidding. Per the terms and conditions agreed to by the buyer, their bid is based solely on their personal inspection of the items. Descriptions are stated as opinion only and to be used as reference only and in no way guaranteed.  Recommended inspection is stated several times in our terms and conditions that is agreed upon prior to bidding. The item in question did run and drive and is equipped with 4WD. Royal Auction Group made no guarantee as to the fitness or function of the item. The customer picked the unit up and drove it off our property. We are not responsible for an item once it leaves our auction.

      I am rejecting this response because the item "Description" was written by Royal Auction Group (RAG).

      Their BBB response states "the item description is to be used as reference only" -  Royal Auction has made our point in their reply to the BBB - we (the buyer) used this item description (written by Royal Auction) for reference of the item they listed and we bought after reading the ROYAL AUCTION GROUP item description.My wife and I trusted your website item description and bid on this item. We drove from ******** to *******- we agree with ROYAL AUCTION that a visual inspection would have revealed the discrepancies in the ROYAL AUCTION listing on the ROYAL AUCTION website.

      Please note (both BBB and RAG),  the *** did NOT run when we arrive - we (the buyers) needed to seek out jumper cables and jump it and replaced the battery that did not work.

      I'd also like to add, we were charged an additional $25.00 for title transfer - ROYAL AUCTION could not find the title and said they would credit us back because no title was provided or transferred.
      Where is the $25 ROYAL promised would be returned when we picked up the ***? 

      When we called ROYAL AUCTION (without resorting to the BBB) RAG made it perfectly clear they have lawyers to handle these complaints.

      When an item description states it has 4WD and runs and drive...and it didn't run and the 4WD did not drive- that's misleading and false advertising - Who holds ROYAL AUCTION item description accountable?

      Just leave it blank and please stop misleading your customers

      On June 18th 2022 . I bought several items through Royal Auction Group. One of the item is 2019 Kubota SVL ******************************** the online bidding platform so does on the invoice said; The skid steer runs , drives and operates. Those are 3 big words. I bid, won and paid the amount *********. I was excited but however it turns out that it didn't even START RUNS DRIVES AND OPERATEs as it advertised. I spoke to *******************, Brand Manager about the issue that ROYAL AUCTION GROUP misleading the consumer, false advertising and committed fraud. With my experience, statements from mechanics neither **** nor his employee ever run, drive and operate the skid steer. One of the folk clip operator works for Royal Auction told us that he was the one unloaded the machine from the seller 's trailer and drop it at the same spot where it sat for auction. It had never been moved. **** denied any wrong doing and suggested me to put it back on the next auction but I said NO. I cant do it since I already knew that machine is not RUNS DRIVES AND OPERATES, that would be FRAUD plus morally is bad. Then **** asked me to move the equipment out of the yard immediately otherwise he is going to charge me storage fees. I was very upset and disappointed by a very unmorally brand manager, trying to make commission/premium as much as they can. He does not even care about end user, consumer and small hard working business owner just lost all their life saving. I brought the skid steer to 2 different mechanic shops and they diagnosed with a bad engine that means it was never/impossible for the machine to start run drive and operate. I got a quote from Kubota Dealer in *************** with a new engine replacement ****** and Boyz Equipment for ******. I decided to go with Boyz Equipment. To be fair if the Kubota 75 SVL with bad engine on auction will only sells around *****. A good engine for a used machine around ****** with ***** working hours. Totally as it today I spent *********

      Royal Auction Group, **** is sorry to hear that ******** is unhappy with his purchase. We strive to be as descriptive as we can about the items our consignors bring into the auction. However, since we do not own these items, we can only write a description of the asset in the short 10 min period we have with the unit. This asset was delivered to our auction running and driving. We noted in the description that "white smoke and oil leak noted at check in, and further inspection shown that oil is being released out of exhaust tip." "Inspection recommended." We then parked the unit for sale. 

      White smoke and oil being released from the exhaust is a clear indication that the engine may give out at any time. We highly recommend and list in our terms and conditions in three separate areas, highlighted and bold typed to inspect before you bid. ******** did not do that. We are an AS/IS auction and our descriptions are based upon the condition at the time of check in and are an opinion only. ******** accepted these terms prior to bidding. 

      Based upon all of the written terms and conditions that ******** agreed upon prior to bidding and the description that was written upon check in, Royal Auction Group, **** believes we were accurate in everything we wrote and though are sad that ******** did not inspect the item prior to his purchase, we have no plans of refunding ******** his money.
