Im leaving a review regarding my experience with Image Import Racing, specifically with a representative named ********.Throughout our communication, it became clear that Image Import Racing has a concerning approach to product functionality and returns. Fitment and proper function are critical in mechanical parts to ensure safety and performance. When receiving a part, it is essential to verify that it fits correctly before installation. Unfortunately, Image Import Racings policy states that if you assemble or even test-fit a part, it is no longer eligible for return. This stance ignores standard mechanical best practices and can lead to serious issues if parts are assumed to fit without proper verification.Additionally, their website lacks clear terms and conditionsan important guideline for any reputable e-commerce *********** return was rejected because I installed the pilot bearing on the flywheel to check fitment and functionality. ******** insisted this meant the part was used and non-returnable. She also questioned the absence of flywheel bolts, which were never included in my shipment.Overall, this experience has been frustrating due to the companys rigid policies and lack of transparency.They need to understand that in real-world automotive applications, mechanical fitment is essential. We take all customer concerns seriously and strive to provide transparent, honest, and helpful service throughout the entire purchasing process. In this case, we made multiple efforts to assist the customer and clearly communicated all relevant information at every stage.
Our return policy is clearly outlined on our website, including specific details displayed during the return request process. It is explicitly stated that items must be in brand new, unused, and resalable condition to qualify for a return. This customer ordered a part consisting of multiple components and subsequently installed one of them, which renders the item ineligible for return under our stated policy. Despite this, the customer initially claimed the item was new, then later acknowledged in both direct messages and a public review that the part had been installed. Installation constitutes use and disqualifies the item from return.
Our questions regarding the bolts were not an attempt to deflect responsibility but rather a step in exploring whether we could make an exception or source any missing components from our supplier. This reflects our ongoing effort to find a resolution, even in cases that fall outside of policy. Additionally, the customer admitted to ordering the incorrect part and making modifications to it. Installing the pilot bearing was unnecessary for checking fitment, and any alterations further voided eligibility for return or exchange.
While we frequently go above and beyond to make exceptions when appropriate, our ability to do so is contingent upon the condition of the item and the circumstances of the request. In this case, we did our best to offer support and provide options, but the nature of the return request did not meet the criteria required for approval.Initial Complaint

Purchased an item from their website based on the description and it's compatibility with my vehicle as it clearly states compatibility with 2000 - 2018 year vehicles and mine is a 2004. Received the item, installed it on my car and it's not the right part. It was never used since it's part of the clutch system, the remaining parts of the system will not fit. They sent me the wrong part and now refuse to accept a return.Business Response

Customer ordered the wrong item and did not notice until after installing. Our listing breaks down exact fitments for this kit. We can not take back items that have been installed as noted on our FAQ and Returns page. Customer was notified that this was the reason as you can see in the return denial email they provided. Had this been a fitment issue due to an error on our listing, in that case we would have taken the item back at no cost to the customer. This title of this product shows a fitment year range for multiple vehicles as this is standard for multi fitment parts. In the description the specific fitment for each model is provided. It is the customers responsibility to confirm fitment on products before installing.

Wish I had checked BBB before ordering anything from these guys. They clearly delete negative reviews and questions on their site. I ordered a Noble STi OE style wing from them for my 2023 WRX. Just found out through another review here they also own Noble (go figure). But the instructions that came with it were abysmal. After installing the wing according to the company's video instructions on ******** the outer edges of the wing base still had a gap from the body of the trunk lid. I tried some fixes to hold it down, but ultimately had to take it to a body shop and pony up $500 to get their help.I was dissatisfied with the product's install instructions, poor fitment, and lousy mounting hardware, so I left a review on the site warning other potential buyers. To my surprise, months later, I checked and the review was not visible on the site. When I attempted to re-submit my review, I got a message saying I had already reviewed the item. They obviously screen or delete negative reviews and will block you from submitting further reviews on an item you are dissatisfied with. This is made more nefarious by the fact they also own the Noble brand.Business Response

We do recommend this product is professionally installed because it requires drilling into your car and permanently modifying it. Based on your review, it sounds like you ultimately did take this to a shop for professional installation and the product is working as it is intended to work. I did check our support system, and we did not receive any tickets for help with installation, so I wanted to apologize if you had reached out and we missed any correspondence from you. I was asking about a simple return policy issue when I received the response back it was all information I did not ask about. The company person was just not helpful and each email got worse as I responded accordingly. I cancelled all my orders and received an email from them claiming I was verbally abusing their employee? It was emails. They claim they are a small company and do not have big company rules. Im Confused over this entire thing, from me just in disagreement with their return policy, which is rediculous by the way. I would steer far away from this company. they get a Zero for customer service. I just wanted to return a lousy product which they seem to not want to take any responsibility to take care of. It was a lousy $38.00 item. I guess this company is a, "You hurt my feelings" company and cry Foul when someone complains. Bought the best rated clutch at $500 off this website, not knowing that you have the chance of the manufactuer using after market parts. Went 7 whole months without a problem until finally 2 weeks ago the whole clutch blew ** in a million pieces which affected parts in the transmission that are also currently being fixed. The phone number they have on their website brings you to 2 options need help with an order or finding parts or need help with a previous order Well no matter which option you click you're brought to a voicemail box in which not a single soul calls you back no matter how many voicemails you leave. If you email them, you don't even get a confirmation or a time line on which somone MAY call you back. And they specifically tell you on their website that they're willing to help get in contact with the manufactuer if something goes wrong. HA! So far we are down $1800 for in the initial clutch installation and clutch from this place and another $3500 for another clutch and whatever was affected by the clutch when it blew into pieces. And that's to be determined since the more they pull out the more things fall apart. If someone does not reach out we will be taking legal action for the negligence of both companys. Please make sure they add a warning that a good chunk of their parts are most likely after market so EVERYONE stays away.Business Response
