Hello, I purchased a vehicle for my wife and I on July 12, 2023. A 2015 ***** Traverse from a small dealer named FL Auto Trend with about ******* miles. We were approved for financing with *******************, were told that our purchase required/automatically came with Warranty and GAP insurance. We drove to and from work for three and a half days, and on the last day the vehicle lost park and reverse. I was inside watching the tables and my wife had gone to move the car and grab something, when she was backing in it stopped. She and a coworker had to push it backwards and she was able to get it parked across the lot. On the way home the vehicle barely ran, was going into limp mode and wouldnt start moving until about **** rpms or more. We called the warranty company who told us we could take it to any licensed mechanic. We then took the vehicle to AAMCO, only for them to tell us that our warranty is in a two week verification period. We then schedule to get the vehicle checked when the verificatiion period. After the diagnosis stating the vehicle neesds $11,442.66 worth of repairs, the shop contacted the warranty in which they told them that because the vehicle had only been driven 350 miles, the warranty wouldnt cover anytthing. At this point, we have a loan for the vehicle $8995.00 and after fees, interest, warranties, gap, the loan adds up to approximately $22,000.00 for a vehicle that does not run and drive that we only were able to drive for thee and a half days. The dealership said they would see if they could get the job done cheaper, and retrieved the vehicle from AAMCO on Thursday August 3, 2023. We have not heard from them since, they attempted to call us once Thursday evening but we missed the call as we were preparing for work, but no phone calls, emails, or text messages have been received since then. We have already communicated with the ******* ************************* and will follow up with your chosen action after hearing from your department

***** at Fl Auto Trend sold me SUV that has severe transmission problem and when I report it to him the same day that I bought it, that I just have to take it to a mechanic shop because it shut down on my way home with it he says nothing is wrong with the transmission and that I should not listen to the mechanic because they want to make money so they will tell me that the transmission is not good he continues to say that the vehicle give that jerk and *********************** due to it been a Hybrid where its switching from gas to battery. The vehicle been sitting in the mechanic shop for a month now from the date of purchase which cost $2300 to fix the problem, I even called the finance company( ******************)and notified them of the problem Im having, they told me to send them the diagnosis report and the estimate to repair it, I did that, they find excuses that the estimate paper not showing the correct mileage, I went back to the mechanic to rewrite the estimate with the correct mileage and resend it to the finance company, when I call them back they find another excuse that the estimate is hand written and that they there is nothing they can do to help me at this moment and begin to remind me that my payment is due in 7 days.

I bought a car online from ******* Auto Trend on November 22nd 2022. Before buying I was assured that there were no issues with the car. I put my trust in these people when I shouldn't have, and I have learned my ****** about having vehicles checked by a mechanic BEFORE buying. I was lied to. When the car was first delivered I had to wait Before driving it because it was delivered right before I went to work. When I got it, immediately I saw a warning light "*** BAS" and I was told by a mechanic that this involves the anti-lock breaks and traction. Also, I had to change the fuse for the 12 volt cigarette lighter by the radio, which was no big deal. As soon as I did though...the check engine light came on after I started the car. I researched this, and asked, and it's not a guarantee but it suggests that this means the check engine light was disabled. I mentioned the *** WAS light to the dealer, and he suggested I "disconnect the negative of the battery" and then connect it back...which is ridiculous. The check engine light began to go on and off over the course of days. Any time I talked to the dealer I was told that the car was in condition while it was there. Yesterday, December 12th, it began to overheat on my way to work, so I had to have it towed to a mechanic. I contacted the dealer (And I have ALL of the messages) and again I was told that the car was in good condition and he suggested that something could've happened while it was being transported. That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. How can a car suddenly become damaged under the hood when it's being delivered and the engine is not even running?? Really just sounds like a guy coming up with dumb excuses. Today I found out that the timing chain and water pump are bad, which is going to cost me $1200.00. I have only had this car for a few weeks. There is no way that those things are damaged unless they were already bad before I got the car.

      Complaint: 18570975

I am rejecting this response because:
As the the document that I have attached shows, which is a bill from a local mechanic, it wasn't just a "sensor" as the person at the FL Auto Trend keeps saying. The water pump and the timing belt had to be changed and it cost me $1230.47 on December 15th, which was (as the FL auto trend guy also stated in the text msgs between him and I that I also attached) about 3 weeks after I got the car. The water pump and timing belt aren't going to be bad just because the car was transported. I texted him on December 12th to tell him it was running hot and when he had nothing else to say after our conversation he stopped responding to me. I am rejecting his response because you can't cause damage to a water pump on a car and have a timing belt that needs to be replaced after only a couple of weeks of having a car. Those things were bad before I even received the car, but he states that it was in perfect condition when it left their lot which was on November 21st, and that's just a lie. Either that, or they have really bad mechanics
      Sincerely,

      *********************************
