I moved into the apartment I am currently in back ****** of 2021 and have been trying to get the management company to fix things in the apartment that are a safety hazard like the railing on the patio (we are on the second floor) and the tiles in the kitchen that were broken when we moved in and the grout was lifting. I caught my two kids who are two and one chewing on pieces of grout on several occasions and my two year old cut his hand on the railing thats rusted and Broken. The railing and tiles are only now fixed and fixed poorly. The railing still has the same rusted jagged edges only now its reinforced but you are still able to cut your fingers on the rusted edges. And the tiles were fixed and a leak that cause a massive amount of floor rot was fixed but the carpet that butts up to the tile was never secured and there is a ton of debris under the carpet that is lifted and again I have found my baby chewing on pieces that are coming loose. I have voiced my concerns on several occasions to the property manager at the quarters apartments in ********* and nothing has been done. I was informed by an employee at the office this morning that the property manager was looking for a replacement railing from another unit that would fit our patio and was having difficulty. However if the management company had done a proper inspection of the unit and fixed things that needed to be fixed before I moved in none of this would have ever been a problem. With the lack of care for the residents its absurd for them to try to charge people a $500 increase on rent after only 11 months and the only way to avoid that is to sign a lease early. I would never complain about the price of the apartments if things were being cared for like they should. The safety hazards are only the half of it. I am not able to allow my kids to play outside bc they dont enforce rules on the residents and allow criminal activity to take place.
