Our Most Horrific Moving Experience: We initially received a quote of $1,500 for a small move just 4 hours away, but were shocked when the final bill came to $2,200. Naturally, we called Allied Moving (@************) to ask for clarification.******** from the dispatching team answered the phone. From the start, her tone was hostile and dismissive, questioning why we were calling again. When we politely asked for a breakdown of the unexpected charges, she became confrontational, yelling that we had requested a shuttle, which supposedly explained the extra cost.We explained that we had no idea what a shuttle was and simply wanted to understand the charges. Instead of calmly explaining, she raised her voice even more, repeatedly interrupting and yelling over us. When we asked her not to get upset and just help us understand, she screamed, Thats your f**ing problem!* and hung up the phone. When we asked if we could speak to her manager, she had flatly said, You cant. You can only talk to me. That alone was incredibly concerning it felt like there was no accountability or professional structure in place to resolve issues. This wasnt an isolated incident. The previous day, we had called the same number to ask how long the delivery would take. ********, apparently thinking we were someone else, immediately started yelling that it was a 2,200-mile delivery and would take several days. We had to correct her the move was only 265 miles. Her attitude was unprofessional, aggressive, and completely unacceptable. It gave the strong impression that she didnt want to be bothered with customer questions and was trying to avoid doing her job. This experience reflects very poorly on Allied Moving. We want the customers to be aware. And there should be some kind of accountability to this kind of behavior.Initial Complaint

After scheduling an appointment for a move, I paid the deposit which was move than 1/3 of the price. I was told I would pay 511. At pick up and 511. At delivery. After THREE days of them saying they were coming, they showed up. I was then forced to sign a contract for them to start the move. I told them I was uncomfortable signing a blank contract. He told me he had to have a signature to start. I reluctantly signed and they loaded. When they finished he filled in the contract and it was for 1700. Which was over 3 times what was estimated. He also stated I needed to pay a $150. Tip. I tried to talk to the driver and get him to take some items out or reload as to not take up so much room. He got loud and very threatening and disrespectful. I called my brother to come. I then Xed out my signature. He was irate and started unloading the truck. He pulled out a big knife and was cutting the tape and unwrapping the furniture. His actions with waving around the knife and yelling was very threatening. He left the furniture in the drive way and left. They rescheduled for the following Friday. I waited all day and they never came. They said they would come the next day. I told them I would have to cancel as I was leaving town. They promised to be here and loaded before 8. They showed up 15 after 8 in an open air trailer. I didnt want my belongings to be exposed to the elements. I asked repeatedly where the storage was they were taking them to. He would not answer. I refused to let them load my furniture. All the while they were asking for $300 cash and $400 wire transfer. They have refused to return any money.Initial Complaint

Do not, DO NOT, use this company for anything. They have fake ****** reviews on their website. I was completely scammed and taken advantage of in January. First of all, they do not disclose they are just booking movers for you, they aren't the actual movers. So when I paid them $1,800, that was simply to book movers. The movers they did book were the worst I have ever experienced. I paid an additional $1,000 the day of the move, along with $500 to wrap certain items (mirror, tvs, etc). At this point, I was over it. It was a disaster to get the delivery scheduled, and they threatened to keep my items in their warehouse for over a month, 3 weeks went by and they finally scheduled - when they arrived, they asked for more money because of the distance from the street to the door, an entire box of clothes was missing with no explanation (but they gave me a box of someone else's, which just goes to show the lack of care). The mirror that I paid to wrap was totally shattered, I had to throw it away. They demanded an additional $1000 to finish unloading. It ruined the excitement of moving for me, I had to start a new job in a new city with none of my belongings, and the email ************************************************************ who booked the whole move was disconnected after the move. These are bad bad bad people. The owner screamed at me over the phone and hung up on me. Do NOT give them your money, they are scam artists.Initial Complaint

I hired this company for a long distance move from *********** ** to ************ **. I paid the required deposit of ****** dollars. However the couple buying our house changed their mind. So I wrote a letter within their required 72 hours to cancel and get my deposit back minus 4%. I have still yet to receive my deposit back. I have spoken to a few different people in customer service. With the last woman saying they will put the check in the mail to me at my new address in **. That was 2 months ago and I still didn't get that check.Initial Complaint

I contracted with this company to move kitchen appliances to my home in ** from **. The items were delivered. The following complaint was made with the company; I am writing this Email to let you know how disappointing my experience with your company was. I feel like I paid top dollar for the move and did not get my money worth. First on the scheduled pick up date the movers did not show up or call. People in NY were waiting all day after taking off from work for the move and canceling appts. After several calls from me hours after the scheduled time I was told no pick up due to trouble with the truck. Things happen but the courtesy of a call was not extended. The driver called later that night and rescheduled for the following day. After arriving late they made the delivery but they refused to bring the refrigerator into the house. They stated that they would not remove the doors to bring it inside. The doorway was too narrow to fit it without removing the door. They left it outside on the porch. I now have to get another company to bring it indoors at additional cost. As a disabled senior living on a fixed income this is a huge burden on me. The two gentleman that did the move did a good job other than that and did it in snowy weather. I think in the contract it states that they will reassemble items that needed taken apart during the move. The fridge is not an excluded item in the contract. This fridge should be inside the house. Not left outdoors where it can get damaged or stolen. I believe your company should pay the additional fee incurred to get the fridge into the house. I paid a lot to your company because I expected professional, competent, service. Now I have no refrigerator in my house and I definitely paid to have it there.I received a phone call reply from the company in which they refused to make it right. The contract states that they will disassemble and reassemble items as needed for the move. They have disabled online access to the contract.Initial Complaint

The company gave me a quote and insisted on over a $700 check deposit. When the movers( from a company they outsource to)came the quote doubled though my amount of stuff went up by 2 boxes only! The driver argued with me for quite some time throwing down different prices not really based on anything. For one thing he claimed he had to bring a small truck which would mean my stuff had to later be transferred to a bigger truck, necessitating a transfer fee. In fact I lived on the corner of St Georges in ****** ** , a major thoroughfare. Even the guy on the phone who gave the original quote said an 18 ******* would be no problem. They give bogus low quotes to lure you in. Then a quality control guy calls a week later and *** the price and then the actual movers when they come up again. Advice to those who need to move: get a local mover who comes to your house and gives a quote you sign then and there not an estimate. Also watch your bank account after using Allied One.. Also they really wash their hands of you after taking the original deposit. Then you are handed to local movers anyhow. In my case the local movers lost 10% of my boxes. I way overpaid for a service not completed. Where is my stuff?Initial Complaint

My initial quote doubled and was given no way to modify my quote. I was overquoted by *********, and I when I called him the next day to update my inventory because we gave away a lot of our items, he told us that we will NOT need to change our cubic footage estimate as we will only pay for what we use on the truck. I told him explicitly that I did not want the *************************************************************************************** a condescending tone and said "like I said, you only pay for what you put on the truck". He also told us that "we can make it happen by mid afternoon" for having or stuff delivered to our final destination in ** on Saturday, September 3rd and our stuff didn't get to our destination until September 9th. (Also, he refuses to pick up his phone after the movers picked up our stuff.) Of course when the movers showed up, they wouldn't load the truck until we paid the rest of the deposit for the full 414 that I DID NOT WANT.I spoke with the customer service **** ******* and she did not provide any tangible next steps and was rude to me even though I was dealing with an unpredictable experience. The moving company itself kept postponing the dropoff with an original drop-off date Tuesday, then Wednesday, then Thursday, which really impacted my professional career as I had to take time off of work for each rescheduled drop-off. A lot of our high ticket items were completely shattered or damaged upon arrival which makes this whole experience even more upsetting. They will claim they cannot provide any compensation due to "clause/section 1" (FYI my contract link didn't even work a few days after signing so I couldn't even reference) so BUYER BEWARE that this is probably one of the worst customer experiences I have had ever. I am looking into reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and will seek legal advice since they refuse to acknowledge their mistakes.Initial Complaint
