    Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to urgently bring to your attention the distressing and unresolved issues related to my water damage claim with American Platinum Property and Casualty Insurance Company, which was filed in July of 2023. As of the current date, my home remains unrepaired. The lack of progress, dismal customer service, and internal discrepancies within the company have created an unbearable situation for my family, especially my two small daughters, ages four and six. Our original adjuster, *************************************, has not been in contact since November 29, 2023, leaving us without an assigned adjuster or anyone taking accountability on our behalf. This negligence has resulted in half of our home undergoing demolition, including both bedrooms and one bathroom. The additional living expenses have added to our ordeal, with delays in payments and a supervisor, ***************************, criticizing our choice of accommodations and a lack of communication about what is reimbursable while our home was in demolition. The financial strain and uncertainty about essential reimbursements are further complicating our already challenging situation.Furthermore, a check for $15,446.79, intended to cover necessary expenses and repairs, was supposedly mailed to my home on December 18, 2023. The check was to be endorsed by myself, the mortgage company, and the repair company. Shockingly, American Platinum Property and Casualty Insurance Company has informed us that the check was cleared and cashed, but they are unable to provide details on who cashed the check and when. This raises serious concerns about internal processes within American Platinum Property and Casualty Insurance Company and warrants a thorough investigation. I urgently request the Better Business Bureau's prompt attention to this matter, as it directly affects the well-being of my family. I appreciate your assistance and look forward to a swift resolution.Sincerely,**********************************

    On 5/16/2023 I purchased homeowner policy to start on 6/25/2023 they immediately took my money 2 hours later on 5/16/2023 I cancelled they say i they cant cancel until 6/25/2023 then another 3 weeks for processing so they are keeping my money for 57 days what gives them the right to hold my money on a policy thats not active then I discovered the money was charged by Universal P&C a company that dont write policies anymore in my area

    Thank you very much for your comments.  Unfortunately, we were not apprised of this review until today (10/30/2023).  For clarity, please note that the insured requested a quote in May 2023.  Subsequently, the insured paid for the insurance via credit card - which explains why it was deducted immediately.  On the same day, the insured also obtained coverage with another carrier: which he ultimately chose as his carrier.

    We received a cancellation request from the insured and cancelled the policy as at inception.  We fully refunded the insured's credit card and wish him well with the other chosen carrier.
