Hires to do drywall and paint repair in ****. Work was not properly done and fell out within days of repair. Scheduled days ahead of time to fly in and meet them. They did not show. Removed their work and redid all repair and repainted. They offered a 200 credit. I offered to settle for 500. Paid 720 and removed it all. They refused. I am taking this step first as good faith prior to litigation.

Work was completed.Client stated we did not respond however he arrived in ******* and tore the work down immediately. Did not give us stated time to have the craftsman return.

We would of returned to complete the job over how ever the client sent pictures of the job torn apart. We offered a reimbursement. We had already paid the craftsman and the for all the supplies. We were not given ample time to return to revisit the job and re do.

I am rejecting this response because:
Their timeline is inaccurate.  Please find attached the timeline.  I worked for several days coordinating a time I could fly in to inspect the work.  They were well aware of when I would be there to met them and look.  they didn't show.  I had limited time in town so after a second day of no show, I proceeded with repairs.  Yes they offered a ****** settlement against a 720 bill for work that had to be totally redone.  My expenses to show up and repair are FAR MORE than that.
I paid them to fix.  Had others look at repair on my behalf who most said it was terrible and they would not accept. (They are willing to provide a statement if necessary)  I then scheduled a trip to inspect myself.  It was very poorly done.  I then had to remove all work done and redo it..  I did not have time to wait and see if they would show up or respond..
I am not being picky with the quality, It was terrible. No one would have found that level acceptable.
I should not have to pay for a repair twice...
Thanks for your help with this.

To Whom it May ************************************ have no correspondence of a missed appointment. The next event in the timeline was our work torn down. If a client is not happy we have a policy that we send the craftsman back to repair the work. However in this case the job was 100% destroyed and redone within the same day by someone else.  We paid the craftsman and the supplies. Our profit was $200. We are willing to reimburse the client $200. We were not given ample time to return to review with the client.

I am rejecting this response because:

Read the time line.  i spoke with DaPrado about coordinating a trip two weeks earlier and they were made well aware of when I was arriving and that i was only there a few days.  We even discussed since it was going to be a while,  I offered to pay them on the promise  that they would return.  They followed up a day or two earlier and thought it was that day and I clarified the arrival date and time.

Their work was in no way professional and inferance that I wildly "tore it out" is misleading and inaccurate.  They were in the loop all the time.  The statement that the work was a "day" is also wrong.   to properly repair drywall can't be done in a day.  it took three days.  they could have shown up when scheduled, while repairs were going on, when they were finished.   They did none of that nor did they make any attempt.

the offer of ****** has been rejected previously as it is a ridiculous number.  they did everything wrong and want to get paid for it.

I have not totaled my expenses related to this yet, but will prior to filing suit and forward, but it is in excess of $2,000.00 including my travel.

I offered to accept $500.00 to allow them to cover their materials,  The labor I will not pay for labor as absolutely no part of the repair was properly or professionally done..

I can back up my entire position with documentation, photos and with witnesses who were there and saw what the installers were doing.

They state they spoke with the repair men about the poor quality but did not feel it was "their fight"  which I understand.

I see little value in continuing this debate as their arguments are not based in fact.  The fact that they did not supervise or in any way inspect the installation of their crews has never been disputed.  I seriously doubt anyone responding to this ever saw the installation done by their employee/subcontractor.  If they had, there is no way they would argue that the installation was poorly done and needed to be removed..

I will accept my original offer of a credit of $500.00.  That offer stands until 2-1-24.  If not acceptable to DaPrado, then i see no alternative but to retract the offer and pursue all my costs and legal fees thru the court system.

    Sincerely,
