      I will never use this company again!!! Charged me a late fee and some crazy tax even though the car was returned on time. Proof of phone calls to company and time stamped receipts. Woman pn phone was incredibly rude and said they can't remove the charge. TOTAL SCAM! DONT TRUST WHAT THE EMPLOYEES TELL YOU! THEY OBVIOUSLY GET COMMISSION WHEN A CAR IS REPORTED TO HAVE BEEN RETURNED LATE WHEN IT ABSOLUTELY WASN'T. They said someone would contact me. No one has, and I bet they never will. Plenty of other, hopefully more honest, companies out there.

      Avoid at all cost! There are so many things wrong with Hertz. Rude staff, unhelpful customer service, and it seems like they purposely make it difficult to reach someone to speak with. This was my first time trying to use Hertz and apparently I made the unspeakable mistake of making my reservation using a debt card. The lady at the location said I needed a credit card, which I didn’t have with me and when I asked why I was able to use a debt card to make the reservation, she said she wasn’t sure and told me to speak to customer service. I called customer service and they said the same thing. I read the entire forms of payment policy to the rep and asked her at what point it told me I couldn’t use a debt card. She said she wasn’t sure and put me on hold so that she could speak to someone… then she hung up on me. I called back, waited on hold again and explained everything to the second person. The second person also didn’t see where their own forms of payment policy said I couldn’t use a debt card. She said that this credit card only policy has always been there and there was nothing she could do. My last question to her was “if I’m a new customer, and your policy is not listed anywhere, then how was I suppose to know about it?” She said she wasn’t sure and is having a supervisor call me back. I will never use Hertz and I suggest the same to everyone else.

      We flew into ****************************************** on Friday, June 23, 2023, for a wedding. We reserved and paid for a Tesla a week before arrival. We arrived a the car rental terminal around 8:30 am. The customer service agent was extremely nice and honest. She stated the company did not have the Tesla car available for rental. We were told to wait on the side for a car. The manager was assisting in getting cars for other customers. As we stood in line for almost two hours, several families received a Tesla rental. They were in the line and stated that was quick for them to get the card and they had availability. I spoke with the manager who stated again they do not have any cars. I immediately contacted the over-the-phone customer service line to escalate my complaint. We asked if could we get something comparable to the Tesla. We also asked for the general manager's name and phone number. The duty manager states that she could not give out that information. The manager then says just pick a car in the Presidental section. As we exited the rental car terminal the agent states they had a ****** Rogue and not a Tesla. This car was not in the same class. It was cheaper rentals. other employees stated that there are other Tesla model cars but they did not want to wash them. There was very A worker of Hertz. I feel that I was treated unfairly and scammed by the company. This is unacceptable and I will never rent from this company again.

      I was charged 387 dollar a day when my initial rental location pick up had to be changed due to a flight cancellation. We were taken advantage of with this incredibly high rate because we were put in a position of requiring a rental car change on short notice because of the flight cancellation. Upon checking the website after this quick decision, the rate was 79usd a day! We demanded an explanation and we have been told they stand by the location but the booking was done online and changed by phone ?! The first rental had a ****************************************** a different country but the second change had the same location pick up and drop off so should have Been at least **** dollars less !! So dissapointed with this company. Rental number ***********

      The worst car rental company. We rented a car from hertz from Hamilton township NJ location. After a hour we observed that the back indicator signal light does not work, a very dangerous situation when you are changing lanes. After a day the car key stopped working. We called hertz about the situation and they told us to change the battery on the key and they will reimburse us the money. The car was returned on time. Afterwords we found out that the hertz charged us for an extra day. When we returned the car the clerk did not know how to reimburse us the money and kept the rental agreement open. Tried to explain the situation to the hertz head office and the local rental car office. The hertz never reimbursed us the money and the hertz forwarded the case to the collection agency. They sent us a letter that they will never rent us a car. Not a bad decision: who wants to rent a car from such a bad company who hires incompetent people.

      I get quoted for one amount and then they charge me double. If you want to get ripped off and screwed over and talk to outsourced support, this is the car rental company for you!

      One of the worst companies ever dealt with in my entire life 50+ years !! Overcharging, double billing with no one able or willing to fix their wrongs. Absolutely disgusting company !!! Please do not rent with these people they're a nightmare ??

      DO NOT Rent from these people! Their slogan should be Hertz Hurts! I’ve been on the phone with them during my vacation to try to rectify the lemon they rented us. I’ve listened to their on hold music for hours which is Lets go Baby baby and have come up with many slogans. The new song should be “Let’s go…ruin your vacation” “Let’s go…keep you on the phone for hours with no resolution” “Let’s go…provide you with a lemon.” “Let’s go…tell you the only people that can assist you don’t answer the phone” “Let’s go… give you the managers numbers you’ve been given 8 times before but they don’t answer either” “Let’s go… keep you on hold for hours and magically disconnect the call” “Let’s go… tell you we understand your frustration but are gonna just keep piling that **** on and not really assist you” “Let’s go…leave you stranded for your one vacation a year” “Let’s go…disappoint your kids that we can’t go mini golf or play laser tag like we traditionally do every year cause HERTZ HURTS” DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ ULESS YOU WANT TO SPEND HOURS ON THE PHONE WITH THEM TO HAVE NOTHING RESOLVED Okay on more “Let’s go… pass the buck” I’m writing all this as I’m on hold with them in my 7th hour and going nowhere.
