Additional information is marked as required on my claim. I have called into the customer service line 3 times explaining I was never admitted anywhere, therefore do not have discharge summaries. I have been reassured 3 times that notes will be made to whomever is reviewing the claim that I was not admitted. I have no way of contacting anyone beyond calling ************** and waiting on hold for an average of 45 minutes to speak with a representative. The claim was initially filed on 01/24/2023. I need to know what I can do to move this claim forward.

In February 2022 my ex husband simply called to to say I had past because he wanted to commit fraud and collect my like insurance of $60000. 10 months late and they still have not given the attorney general the recording of him doing this so they may arrest him. I am in fear of my life from an abusive alcoholic man who wantes me to be dead so he may get money. This has caused me to have seizures again something that i never had until i was married to him. It took me longer to get them to get my insurance back then it took for them to start his benefit payout. No return calls to try and fix the issue just ignoring me to try and hide. SO when i try to shut the policy down out of frustration they want to nail me with fees to make sure i get no money out if a 16 year policy in which i never missed a payment. But they will start a payout with out a date or cause of death and no notice to me or my employer which the policy is through. All my relationships have suffered from this because of the fear, amount of effort i had to put in, and the bad emotions this has brought. All they can do is hit me for fees and never acknowledge their mistake. An investigator finally received the case in December a full 10 months later. That is at no way i thought this would go down. I am getting an attorney.

This complaint was sent to American Heritage Insurance Services. We do not administer Life Insurance. I believe this should be forwarded to American Heritage Life Insurance which is a different company.

5/27 date of loss So I purchased a car back in March of 2022 which was a 2020 ********** Outlander and it also included my insurance which was progressive and I had GAP insurance as well. On 5/27 my daughter took my car without my permission and crash it. I filed a claimed through progressive and then America Heritage Insurance Services as well I did everything they asked for and also the police report and gave them the case number because it was a public record and it was a wait for the report and it also was public and it was still under investigation. Basically they did not do there part and just went with what progressive did as well .I feel like myoney was wasted and got nothing back from the car. I want some type of compensation and for them to do there job the correct way.

Please note the *** wavier addendum is not an insurance product. The *** waiver Addendum is part of the financing/sales contract which is signed by the customer at the time of purchase and a copy is given to the customer by the dealership as part of the vehicle purchase documentation. American Heritage Insurance Services was not provided the original contract and we are unable to provide you a certified copy of the contract. I am attaching a sample contract of your addendum. You received a copy at the time of your purchase and the dealership would have the original contract. The addendum is an agreement between the consumer and their dealer/lender which provides that in the event of a constructive total loss to the covered vehicle, the dealer/lender will waive their rights against the borrower for the outstanding loan balance pursuant to the terms of the original loan contract.American Heritage Insurance services is the administrator for the dealer/Lender and administers the business in accordance with the provisions of a separate agreement between it and the Dealer/Lender.

The *** waiver provides that in the event of a constructive total loss to the covered vehicle, the dealer/lender will waive their rights against the borrower for the amounts due under the payable loss.  The payable loss is defined as the difference between net payoff on the date of loss and the primary carrier settlement. The net payoff is the amount of the lenders interest as of the date of loss, as represented by the portion of the borrowers unpaid balance according to the original payment schedule of the financing contract that is secured by collateral subject to limitations.

Based on the terms of the original loan contract, the amortized loan payoff on the date of the loss would be $27,095.01. Your primary insurance company settled with you in the amount of $25,402.12. The dealer owed refunds for the pro-rated unearned portion of the *** waiver in the amount of $720.23 a vehicle service contract refund in the amount of $2,181. This would leave no remaining balance and no *** benefit would be due.

You may want to follow up with your dealer to verify that your refunds were issued and received. If the refund amounts are different than calculated, please provide evidence of your refund amount and we may reevaluate your claim. If you have any other questions, please contact us at ************.
