  My son recently took a trip to Destin with friends to celebrate their senior year, but the experience was marred by an incident involving the Ocean Reef rental company. A representative entered the property without proper justification and under misleading pretenses, which we believe violated our rights as outlined by Florida law. Shortly thereafter, they returned with law enforcement, insisting that all guests vacate the premises within a mere 20 minutes. They later claimed that there were multiple noise complaints which was concluded was coming from the neighbors behind and was subsequently addressed. It is important to note that the rental agreement stipulates the presence of an adult, and at that time, there were four adults staying in the house. Expecting an adult to supervise a group of young adults who are simply trying to enjoy their vacation—whether at the beach or running errands—is unreasonable. This raises questions about how consistently Ocean Reef enforces such expectations across all their properties. Furthermore, the guests in the house were respectful and did not engage in any disruptive or destructive behavior; there was no damage to the property, and any personal items left out were typical for a vacation rental accommodating 14 people. It is unrealistic to expect guests to maintain a spotless environment at all times, especially while on holiday. Additionally, parents were present to ensure that everything was managed appropriately. Despite this, Ocean Reef re-listed and rented the property within 24 hours, refusing to refund us for the unused days of our reservation raising question regarding their business practices. We are now consulting an attorney for refund of our money. It is clear why OR has an "F" rating.

  Would not recommend this rental company ever. Customer service and response to isues is all but nonexistent.Stayed at Blue Mountain Villas from July 29 to August 5, 2023 When we arrived we were aware there was construction taking place on the condos and had been told shortly beforehand there would be scaffolding, etc. in place. However we were not prepared to have our entire gulf front balcony covered with construction trash except for one small area. and windows taped up with plastic, Even the balcony furniture had been shoved inside the unit. I immediately called Ocean Reef rentals and Informed them of the problem. They said they would contact the hoa and let them know. Aked me to text pictures of the trash which I did. No reponse. Thendiscovered upstairs bathroom sink only had a trickle of water. Called again on Monday to see what was going to be done about the balcony trash and let them know of the trickle. Sent someone out to check on the faucet. Said he would turn it into plumbing and they would fix it. Never heard back from anyone and it was never fixed.Additionally the icemaker in the refrigerator did not work. Called again and left a voice mail about trash still on deck and faucet. Received absolutely no response.On Thursday, sent an extensive text saying only two days left of vacation and no one was responding to our concerns in any way and how frustrating it was to rent a gulf front condo and not be able to emjoy the view and use the deck. AGAIN, there was absolute silence from Ocean reef resorts. The trash was never removed. The worst cutomer service I have ever experienced in any rental anywhere. The message being that they just don't care. How can you contact a rental agency at least four times and not one thing is done or even acknowledged? Terrible experience and total lack of concern for the customer. Really ruined what was a long awaited vacation. Never again would I use or recommend Ocean Reef Resorts,

  Sunny Daze was a disappointment. We had cockroaches from day one. Broken toilet, broken door knobs dirty towels piled in closet. Rubbish on deck. Dirty floors, sand in beds and a door falling off. Big stain on couch cushion. Obviously who ever cleaned this place was blind and didn’t care if it was clean. It took over a week for exterminator company to spray for roaches. I was not compensated nearly enough for the price I paid for this rental.
  This house needs a complete overhaul including new kitchen appliances. The storage containers on the refrigerator door were broken.

  Ocean Reef has an amazing staff! We had a fantastic stay! Our condo was very clean, neat, lots of fresh clean towels. The bed was very comfortable. If we needed anything at all they got it for us! I have to say we had a beautiful vacation. Was very happy with everything, was our second time here. The view is spectacular every time. No disappointments here! Looking forward to coming again! Than you Ocean Reef for making our stay so wonderful! You and your staff Rock!

  I would recommend using Ocean Reef Vacation Rentals for your stay in the Destin /Miramar area. Properties are extremely clean, well maintained, and give you plenty of the ess to get you vacation started. Communication with Ocean Reef is extremely easy and can be done online very easy. I will definitely use them in the future.

  This was our second rental with Ocean Reef our experience again was exceptional. They have always been very responsive to any issues that needed to be addressed. Highly recommend anyone looking to book a vacation. We stayed at the Sweet Spot. The name reflects our experience. Property is close to Miramar Beach. The golf cart and heated pool with hot tub were a great addition. Great location if you are looking for laid back vacation. Look forward to renting with Ocean Reef in the future.

  Had a great time at Sable Pointe West over spring break. Check in was so easy and the house was well appointed and very clean. Everyone who helped us at Ocean Reef was great! The resident portal is easy to use and has all the info you need for you stay.
  SPW was perfectly located beside the “horseshoe” in Seacrest and within walking distance to Rosemary Beach. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you!

  One of the best places we have stayed. There was 10 of us and still lots of room to spread out and move around. Literally steps from the beach so no sand in vehicles was a huge plus. The layout of the house and the added organization was much appreciated. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and grill. We cooked daily and there was tons of pots/pans/plates/silverware/etc to accommodate us. The only draw back was all the knives needed to be sharpened. The beach view from the top balcony was one of our favorite sunrise and sunset spots. The beach was almost like a private beach, not overcrowded, and this was during a huge spring break week with perfect weather. The condo is centrally located to bike into Rosemary and other surrounding places. We are definitely pleased with staying and making
