      I had a terrible experience working with Jennifer.

      At first, she was very responsive, but once the contract started, things went downhill.
      The first red flag was when she asked me to pay her outside of Upwork for a better price.
      She would claim that the job was done, but when I checked my Zoho system, there was no work done. When I asked to meet with her, she needed more time, and I received a verification code indicating someone was trying to log in. She made minor adjustments and billed me for a lot of hours. There were times when she said she was busy with another customer, but she billed me for those hours. Whenever something happened in the US, she would claim to be in that area and unable to complete her work. For example, when there was a hurricane in Chicago, she suddenly claimed to be there after telling me she was in Florida. She also used family crises as excuses. This is just a glimpse of her incompetence and dishonesty. Don't believe anything she tells you.

      I met Jennifer ****** the day after a Zoho Conference in June 2024. We were both on our way to the airport, so she gave me her business card. I explained my business, and she sold me on her innovative ideas to streamline my business practices. I really just needed my email migrated to Zoho, but she sold me on numerous customizations that she was going to create. She asked me for copious deliverables, which I promptly provided.

      She sent a scope of work with milestones and then sent the first PayPal invoice, which I paid. After a few weeks, we had our first meeting. She had done absolutely nothing, saying in passing that she toyed with Projects and Sprints, but found this amazing, incredible solution that would only take 4 more hours to create a custom document submission pipeline (using "deep code"). It sounded great. I paid the invoice. I also paid another invoice for the email migration.

      When it came time to deliver, the lies/excuses started, similar to other people who have been ripped off by her. Last minute travel, flight delays, mysterious illnesses, ANOTHER brown recluse bite (this time at Chicago O'Hare!). She cancelled meeting after meeting, making up even more ridiculous excuses (was hospitalized again, mother fell ill, stuck at the airport for two days, etc.). Finally, I gave her an ultimatum. She promised no more excuses, and SHOCKER, she did not deliver. Nothing.

      As with another person that was scammed by her, she promised a refund in 5-7 business days. I called Zoho, and of course, they have no record of her initiating a refund. She is a pathological liar and a thief.

      Jennifer has multiple aliases and multiple businesses around the country, mainly in states with no income tax. Go figure. Some business licenses have been revoked. Once Coje Consulting is tainted, as I am sure it will be, she will move onto something else. Watch out for her. Spread the word!

      First I do not have aliases nor have I ever lost a business license. The information provided in the complaint is inflammatory and I have now contacted my attorney and a cease and desist is in process of being sent to Jennifer ****. The project application was completed by me. And when I tried to upload it to her system she had already changed her access which barred the ability to do so in the time frame I promised. BECAUSE I missed the deadline I offered to refund the while amount of the project but it would take 5 to 7 business days. That offer was provided on Friday less the 4 full business days ago. The process of the refund was initiated in that time frame. Instead of waiting for her refund she has sent me a confirmation email which I double confirmed that I was refunding her. In addition to in the middle of the night a harassing email threatening me with false accusations and non true messages she found that were written about me and my family and now she sends this message through BBB which states falsehoods and liable. At the time of the email I forwarded the message to my attorney. They will be presenting a cease and desist and if this complaint is not removed immediately I will have my attorneys take this to the next level of filing for liable today. This is not a threat this is a fact.

      I am rejecting this response because: Jennifer had access to my business login for nearly 6 weeks. There was no evidence that she logged and/or worked in any of the apps she claimed. My password has not been changed in 18 days. After numerous outlandish excuses, similar to experiences of other folks that have been taken, Jennifer did not deliver anything. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that writing "deep code" to create a custom document submission portal and pipeline for my business is not even possible in 40 hours, let alone 4 hours. Lastly, Zoho has confirmed that no refund has been initiated and Jennifer uses "Friends and Family" on PayPal, leaving no recourse for disputing the charges. Several other Zoho customers have also recently opened similar cases. Nothing that Jennifer ****** (AKA Gerlach, Rusz) can be trusted.

      SCAMMER ALERT!!! This has been by far the WORSE experience I've ever had on upwork and I've been on upwork for years. Jennifer is scam artist! BUSINESS OWNERS PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR HER ANTICS!!! She never meets the deadlines, she claimed she completed a job but she never did. She strung us along by telling us that tasks will be completed at said time and day which it never was. When you try to reach her, she doesn't respond or either acts like she is running in an airport trying to catch a flight, sick, or tired. When our tasks were not completed, we ask for a refund. She told us it will be here in 5-7 business days and NOTHING! Just like the other comment stated, she tried to get us to pay her in advance. Also, she will try to invoice you from her other outside accounts and not through upwork. She is a terrible human being and karma will get you Jennifer..if that's your real name. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS PERSON!!! SCAMMER ALERT!!!"

      I am sorry you had such a bad experience working with me and my company.  That is not normally how we do business.  At the time of this project, I ended up undergoing medical issues for an illness and I was hit by a pickup truck while crossing a street and ended up in a hospital. The moment I was released from the hospital, I did in fact reach out multiple times and I did complete the project. The complaint that you provided is quite unprofessional, stating that I may not be who I say I am, and also making remarks that are both unprofessional and disturbing. Again, I am sorry you had such a bad experience, and the moment I was able to communicate with you, I did constantly.

      I would greatly appreciate if you would revise or remove this complaint.
