    Complaint: 20863973

I am rejecting this response because:  You sold us infested termite wood products!
I asked your installer ***** why are there holes in the back edge of the mica plywood.
He paused for a moment and he told me it's from cutting the wood with the saw caused that.
This was a lie because I had ****** pest control treated the shelves.  ***** is not going to lie about it!
They told me it was a bad batch of wood you used to do the job!
***** told me they had a similar problem with another customer who had their whole ********************** redone it had termites and they had to have the whole house tented for $3,000 to save the kitchen!!!

I had another contractor told me the same thing and was shocked in disbelief that you didn't refund even half the money I paid you! The new contractor had to remove out all the shelves in the garage and the kitchen pantry shelves also and the contractor replaced them with new pine wood shelves that he treated them for termites to be safe and varnished them all!!!
There were no termites droppings anywhere in the house or in the garage until you installed the mica shelves in the garage!
***** inspected the whole house including the attic and there were no termites except in the mica shelves in the garage and the pantry kitchen shelves!
    What does that tell you!!!
We had to pay twice for the same job with another contractor!!!

You did a wonderful job on resurfacing my kitchen doors, counter tops and bathroom countertops with no issues.
But the garage was a disaster failure because of your wood supplier you used!
My house has not been vacant for a year this is another lie by you!
I go there several times during the week month after month!
You're very lucky I'm not suing you in court for your failure!
I didn't want to waste my time and more money with a lawyer on you!
So consider your lucky stars I'm just complaining!

You've been with BBB for 15 years... with a 5 star rating.
If you could have worked something out to make the job right.
I would have never complained about this to BBB, ***** List etc.
But no... you decided not to and be greedy.
So I decided to complain online to let other future customers beware of your workmanship on how you
do business with infested termite wood products you used from reputable supplies you said!!!!
We are very disappointed in the way you do business and you treated us very unfairly and not being honest!!!
I hope you learn from this!!!

    Sincerely,

I am shocked by your comments, that you would bad mouth one of the most reputable companies in south *******.  We have a 5 star rating with Better Business Bureau for close to 15 years, as well as very high reviews on other sites.  As much as I sympathize with your frustration, I find it appalling that you need to blame someone for your getting termites in your garage, which by the way is vacant for most of the year.  For the past several  years you've called me back three times to do work for you because you were so pleased with everything we did for you in the past.  So to go as far as to lie about talking to the installer seeing holes in the wood is just inexcusable! Shame on you! We would never use infested or inferior materials or products.

Please know that we truly appreciate and value our customers putting their faith in us and our business, which is reflected in the last ************************************ positive reviews on other sites.

Before I even responded to you the first time, I had contacted my wood supplier, to check to see if they had received any complaints from others who had purchased wood supplies from them in the past. Their answer was a resounding NO. I been using this trusted top rated wood supplier since weve been in business, and I have never had any issues or problems with their wood supplies.

As I mentioned in my first response, I sympathize with your frustration. This shelving job that we did for you was completed in mid-June of 2021, which is OVER 2 YEARS AGO.  Unfortunately,it is a reality the termites exist in *******, and you have been a victim of that, and not from bad business by me.

Your new contractor put in shelves with a varnished finish, which you must have requested, where we had supplied you with natural wood shelves with a melamine coating.

I sincerely hope this new shelving works out for you, and I wish you the best of luck.

Like I said to you your supplier gave you infested wood that had termites in them from the word go!

You got a bad batch from your supplier!

I told ***** that I noticed holes in the sides of the wood the very day and ***** the installer told me it was from cutting the wood to size!

Defective wood was installed! This has nothing to do with termites existing in *******! This is your BS!

A separate pest control company told me another customer had the same problem with there newly installed kitchen cabinets and they had there whole house tented to get rid of the termites! That cost $3,000! I was not going to spend $3,000!  You just don't want to be honest you're just greedy to replace them!!! Look at more photographs of the shelves attached!!!

See for yourself! Photos don't lie!

When I was a younger man I bought pine wood shelves from *********** Trimed them to size and coated them with clear varnish, installed them with metal L's in 1988! Here it is today 2023 I never had a problem with termites with them. That's 35 years and the shelves are still there! The supplier screwed you and me! I will never use you again for anything because you mislead me and your supplier mislead you!

    ********************,

In response to your last comments, I already explained that after checking with the supplier, no one else has complained about any infected wood.  We have a shop that we cut the wood at, and the shop is loaded with wood products.  Don't you think we would have a termite problem as well if the wood we cut up for you was infested?  Here it is 2 years later, and I have no sign of termites.  I truly feel that you are looking for someone to split the bill for your misfortune.  We are not greedy, as you say, and we don't spread ***** you say.  Fifteen years of nothing but positive reviews on multiple sights is proof of that.  For the last time, we do not use anything but the highest quality products.
