A sales *** for Direct Vehicle Protection contacted me ***resenting themselves as with the insurer for ************** advising me that my warranty for my 2021 Genesis **** had expired. I asked several different ways whether they were actually the same company I did business with already because I did not think my warranty had expired. I was assured she was working with the Genesis ********** agreed to a warranty extension. I paid 3 months and then found out when I went to my dealer that this was a a scam. This was not the same company with which I had a warranty. My policy had NOT EXPIRED, and this new warranty is not in the Genesis ********* I called on February 3, 2025 and they cancelled the policy but would not refund me the three months of payment (total of ($537) saying the policy manual expressly does not provide refunds after the first month. I didn't receive the manual until at least 30 days after the verbal agreement to the ********* was obvious from the telephone call that this is something they deal with on a regular basis. From things I see online this is standard operating procedure for this company. This was a verbal contract where we did NOT have a meeting of the minds due to the lies told by the sales person so the contract is void. I want my money back. And this company should be investigated for their sales practices. I was told they record all calls. That's a good thing as whoever investigates this company should listen to the calls from individuals like me who have been scammed.Another name used in communications is "Omega". This name was used when my credit card was ***laced and they needed ************ occurred 11/21/2024 at 5:25 p.m. from ************.The ***** affiliate phone number is ************.

Date of transaction - March 29, 2024 Amount charged to my credit card - ****** I received a call about a vehicle protection program and was told that it was directly through ************************* There would be an initial charge of ****** and a second charge of ******. I received the vehicle protection booklet, which says the agreement purchase price is ******* (which was never mentioned on the phone call). I have called and left voicemail in an attempt to cancel the agreement (I never get a live person on the phone). I called my credit card and initiated a stop payment in an attempt to prevent any future charges to my credit card. They misrepresented who they were and the amount of the agreement.

I understand that if the business has closed, the BBB cannot assist with resolution.  The address that is on the booklet that was sent to me from Direct Vehicle Protection is **********************************************************************************  Does this address make any difference?  Thanks

5/11/2023 purchased car warranty from Direct Vehicle Protection. They have since provided *************** companies the information. ***************** program and ****** Administration and both were charging my account. Since each charge was under a different name I though one of the payments was for the other car warranty on my daughter's car. I realized differently when I received a call from my daughter car warranty company that they had not received their payment in December 2023. The credit card for this account had expired, I corrected that and started reviewing all the bank statements. In February I contact Direct Vehicle Protection. They indicated the no longer worked with ****** Adm., and Direct administration use Mepco as their payment contact and Omega use FST Companies LLC for their payments. I would like ****** to transfer the payments to Omega. I requested help from Direct Vehicle to get this done. I have sent a letter cancelling ****** contract in February and a letter to my bank to stop the charges on both accounts until settled. Have not received a response from ****** Adm. or Direct Vehicle. I am open to cancelling both accounts if I can get part of my money back each company.

November 3, 2023 date of transaction. On that date I received a phone call from subject company. When I expressed my concerns about the validity of their company I was connected to their representative ******** who said they were the warranty ******** of ************ and my warranty was about to expire. I again expressed doubt but then he mentioned who else would have the **** I totally let my guard down and bought the policy, paying for it in full. After the fact I saw the dealer and they stated my warranty was good until ****. I talked with ***** at Direct Vehicle, she told me to fill out the cancellation application, which I did and sent it return receipt requested on December 12, 2023. January 25 I spoke with ***** again and was told the refund would be issued January 30, ****. as of this date I have received nothing and cannot get them on the phone, all I get is the machine telling me to leave a message.

Received a telephone call from person claiming to be from ******* Talked me into extended warranty on auto. Gave credit card number for first payment. Appeared on my bank site as Direct Vehicle Protection, not ******* **** can't refund money because I authorized payment. Have to get new card issued to keep from further loss of funds. **** worked because Direct Vehicle Protection was able to tell me my VIN number, which made me believe was call from *******. I called Direct Vehicle Protection twice to cancel policy and ask for promised refund. No refund issued. Name given to me was ***********************, but phone listed under *****************************.

The sales person who called from Direct Vehicle Protection outright lied about the warranty program. They told me that they were the same company that I had used for my initial warranty (they weren't) and that they were calling to see if I wanted to renew. His description of the program was a ********************. He said that warranty was for ******* miles miles (it was for ******), and it would be connected to my existing warranty so that it would begin once my current warranty ended (not true), extending my coverage to ******* miles (it only extended to ******* miles). He also said that it was a full bumper to bumper warranty, just like my current warranty, (but, it wasn't) and that it even covered my timing belt replacement and fluid replacement (nope, again). If that isn't enough, the salesman also said that the the total price was going to be $3,600 (but they attempted to charge me $8,476!) These guys are rotten!

Direct Vehicle Protection has not been in operation for many, many years. This complaint must be with a different company named direct vehicle protection. Please adjust the record and if the BBB can stop contacting me about this that would be fantastic.

Attached are photos of their documents. They called themselves "Direct Vehicle Protection" on the phone but I see that they are also using "Direct Auto Protection". But they are the same company; see attached state from ******* Secretary of State.

I am rejecting this response because:

I submitted another message showing that this company is still in business. They are actively marketing their services and they are listed on ********* business listing website as Active.

You can see the attachment from the complainant from sun biz that the addresses don't even match. His issue is with a different company. This is very clearly a completely different business. My Direct Vehicle Protection has not been in operation since 2018. I don't see somewhere to respond to customer but the issue is becoming a problem for me as I am being harassed with 5 emails today alone relative to an issue that has absolutely nothing to do with me. This complaint is very clearly incorrect and should be directed at the business responsible. Please advise.

4/26/23, company called, stated they were ******* warranty, would pick up where our old ******* warranty left off 10/22. Stated that info would be sent out but was the same coverage that we had through our previous warranty that we took out on our ********************************** 2015. It was a good coverage so we took it. They took $399. from us on 4/26/23, posted to our acct on 4/27/23. Phone # given was ************. When that # is called, they state that there is high volume calls waiting and hangs up. No options. We've tried calling several times, different times a day to see if that makes a difference. It doesn't. I'm filing for my $399,00 back.
