In July 2013 I purchased a Travel Writer's course from "The American Writers and Artists Institute". I paid in installments until it was paid off in full. (I still have every email of correspondence saved).However, during the past few months I have discovered I have been locked out of my course - saying my email is not recognized. Yet I am still using the same email address that I used when I purchased the course (displayed in the emails I have on file).I contacted AWAI, who informed me I have to contact "Great Escape Publishing". I have tried many times using their online site, but have received no response. Nor can I find a working phone number.I want access to the course I've paid for. That's all.Business response

We have reached out to *************************** at her email address. ******************* of AWAI, Great Escape Publishing, was acquired by International Living in 2020.
Since we no longer publish or fulfill the program she purchased, we contacted International Living on her behalf. They have provided information to *************** on how to login to her account to gain access to her program.
This should rectify the issue for ****************.

I spoke with **************** on the phone today to confirm receipt of my email. She had not seen it - but I resent and she got it right away.
The email gave her access instructions for the program.
She also has my name and email and can follow up with me directly if needed.

This company does not respond to me. I have sent 5 email to them,all at different times. I used the submission through their own interface program, none of which were responded to. I call into them and while their publications promise hand-held help, which I paid extra for, they give me nothing. I'm rather upset with them because when I call in their agents direct to the website and give no other help. Their own publications states that their exclusive group will help to initiate things but either I can't get this aid or the agents don't offer it. I'm frustrated and don't know where to turn. I don't want to be complaining to the state but they are promising things they do not deliver on and I do not wish to give up on this company as I believe it has potential for me but I am tired of being in debt. I sent a similar message to them and they removed my purchased programs but did nothing else. I'm tired of being neglected. I would like to request a complete refund of all of the items I purchased from them. Ive attached copies of our companys correspondence with you over the last couple of years that show weve continually responded to you in a timely and helpful manner.
In addition to that, our records show that youve attended, submitted assignments, and received feedback for most of the programs youve purchased from us.
But regardless of that the fact that you are frustrated and feel like you arent making progress is concerning to us. Not at all what we want for you.
So, if you would like to continue with your copywriting training, we will refund you $2,728.30, which is the amount you have paid toward your Infinity Program to date, but we will not cancel your Infinity Membership. This means you will have a full Infinity Membership, with access to all the programs included,for as long as youd like.
If, however,you choose not to continue your copywriting training with us, we support that too and will refund you $2,728.30.
Either way,youre refund will be processed today.
Please respond directly to me at this email address with bow youd like to proceed.

I've called and called AWAI and asked for refund. I do not use their service. They've billed me 3 mo. In a row equaling $87.00. This needs to stop. Or I'm going on ************ live with my complaint, your name and that you've done nothing. Yes, I signed up..but I've begged you to stop billing me. Your # im calling is ************. I expect this refund back into my account ending in **** within 4 daysBusiness response

I'm sorry for your frustration. Your AWAI product purchase will be cancelled immediately. And the $29 you paid will be returned to your credit card.
And, if there's been a delay in our response time, I apologize for that too. We pride ourselves on quick responses, but sometimes emails get delayed, or someone is out and it does take a bit longer. Again ... my apologies.
You placed an order on 4/24/2023 of our AWAI Method test-drive. Based on your offer - which I've attached a copy of here - your immediate charge was for $29 - with the additional charge of $270 to be billed in 31 days.
We did attempt to charge your card on 5/25, 5/26 and 5/27. All those charges were declined. We did not charge any other payments to you - and $29 is the only amount we have received from you. As mentioned previously, this $29 was refunded today June 6, 2023 and takes 5-7 days to hit your bank.
The IP address of the order was: 2603:7081:3e00:bd45
The only correspondence we received from you was an email inquiry on March 7 - prior to your order being placed. We did not receive a request for a refund.
