Over a month has passed, no donation, no communication, no responding to emails. It appears they're luring customers in by using posted charities that they're "donating" to but DON'T! This needs to be legally looked into!!!

    Business Response

    Date: 10/16/2022

    Hi *******!

This is ******* I'm the founder of CatLadyBox and I wanted to reach out to you personally to apologize that this donation took a few weeks longer than usual to get to you. A couple not-normal things have happened with it, and also I honestly dropped the ball myself as well.

It looks like we originally found your Venmo account to send donations to, and so that is something I'd take care of as I'm the only with with access to our Venmo. Usually with other donation methods, someone else can do them. **** (who originally emailed you) did let me know a few weeks ago, and I set myself a reminder but then unfortunately life got crazy and I hadn't gotten to it yet.

It's certainly not an excuse, but my cat was diagnosed with feline incision site sarcoma cancer and he had surgery and now are doing daily radiation treatments for over a month to hopefully aggressively treat it so he can stick around forever... and it's been really hard juggling taking him in every day for that and also regular work for the past few months. I fully own up to some things falling through the cracks right now, and unfortunately this was one of them.

I was trying to catch up and I think the first Paypal we got to use (to get it out of my to-do list) was not a full address, so that held it up a little. And then you did comment on ******** with the correct Paypal, but since that was a comment on a past post, we honestly missed it until we just went looking last night. Also, I'm not sure if it always asks for this, but when I tried to donate through Venmo earlier, it wanted the last 4 digits of your phone number so I wasn't able to do it through that.

I apologize a million times! I did send the donation earlier today myself through Paypal, and made it $1,000 instead of our usual $300 to help make up for it. Helping cats and supporting cat rescues is one of the MOST important things to me (and now it's a huge, important part of my business too!) and we would never want to let anyone down. And we'll always certainly come through when we say. Total transparency and honestly is also extremely important to me, so I know this was a long email but I wanted to explain it all.

Purrlease accept our apologies. Thank YOU all again for all you do to help cats. Rescue is such important work, and I'm so glad we're able to support you and other rescues and our goal is to keep doing more and more of it in the future!

And thanks also for the continued nudges here. There were definitely a few missteps, and I take responsibility for those, and I'm glad we were finally able to get this on the way.

Please give every one of your cats a smooch from us!
