    While stranded at Newark airport last weekend (June 2023) trying to get home from a family graduation, our neighbor called to tell us that water was gushing out of our garage door! We contacted our son to go check it out, and there was about 2 inches of water in the 1st floor, from a malfunctioning toilet on the 2nd floor. Water had been running down the walls for a day or two, drenching everything in its path. A plumber friend came over to wet-vac out the worst of the water and disconnect the water to the toilet. From NJ, I contacted ASAP Restoration and coordinated with our son to let them in. They immediately set about moving furniture and all our other belongings out of the way, including taking clothes from closets (which were piled carefully on the bed!). They then removed the baseboards (to allow the fans to dry the walls) and set up huge fans and dehumidifiers in the upstairs, downstairs, AND garage. When we arrived home the next day, it was practically dry! (Of course, we can't see what's in the walls.) Tomorrow they are coming to check the equipment and walls. Without ASAP we would have come home to a home sitting in water for 2-3 days, which would have bred a ton of mold in this Florida humidity! They have kept in contact with us, had us call our insurance agent who is coming over later today, and successfully mitigated what could have been a complete loss for us!?? They have treated our belongings with great care. We feel completely at ease with them and trust them implicitly to do their job and help us in any way they can!! SO GLAD I KNEW TO CALL ASAP RESTORATION!
