1 starNot a moving company. They are a moving broker, but they will never tell you that, they'll just act like it, giving you all the reassurance in the world that you're in good hands. Liars.Instead, your job will get subcontracted over and over so that no one takes any responsibility for fraud, damages, delays, or straight up hostile behavior. They wash their hands of it all once they take your money and contract your job out to the lowest bidder.My American Moving and Freight contact never answered the phone, never responded to any emails, never said a **** thing when I suspected I was being scammed. 1 starI paid for a moving service from what I thought was a professional and trustworthy company to make the move as seamless as possible. At the time of booking I was promised and reassured that everything would work out exactly as request Expert advice and guidance throughout the course of your move. The 5-6 times I called between booking the move and yesterday, I received nothing close to expert guidance. I was promised by the sales rep that the items would be picked up on 11/5 or 11/6 and items would be delivered within 2-3 days, which is why I booked with this company. Had he told me that American would not conduct the actual move, that I wouldnt even have the option to contact the actual company doing the move, or that items often take up to 30+ days to be delivered, not to mention frequently broken, missing, etc. as the countless 1star ratings of Oasis Moving show, I would have never signed a contract!I also called two weeks ago to clarify the approved forms of payment as I could not locate the contract, and was told by a customer service employee that credit card and personal check were approved forms of payment along with cashiers check, money order, cash, etc. Incorrect info After calling 3 times last week, and each time being told I would know exactly when the items would be picked up by 11/4 at the latest, i received a text message from Oasis Moving with no precise day or time stated. I then called the customer service again to clarify the missing information from the message, I was greeted by the most unprofessional customer service agent. The agent had music playing loudly in the background and after asking to speak with a manager for a more detailed explanation, responded you can talk to a manager all you want but the answers not going to change. Nobody gets the information you want. Not asking for much just a confirmed day, time, phone number of the moving company so I could coordinate directly, SOMETHING, but nobody could help.American Moving and Freight LLC

We do understand that the client has experienced some frustrations regarding the events that have taken place; the file begins with the client, ***********************, requesting a quote and then booking relocation services with American Moving & Freight (AMF) on Monday 10/17/2022. *********************** signed a Binding Moving Estimate Agreement/Contract Monday, 10/17/2022 06:35:40 PM (ET) that reflects the estimated move date of Saturday 11/05/2022 - Monday 11/07/2022, a space reservation for 300 CF at the locked in rate of $3.50 per CF, going from ************************** to ****************************** which is approx. 556 miles. Client's Contract has an inventory list containing 5 items and 15 pieces total. The client secured a deposit with AMF for $677.00 via check through our processor. This *** Agreement has *********************; E-Signature displaying that the customer has agreed to the Company Policy Terms & Conditions within this contract.
Discussing the several topics outlined in your complaint, the Cancellation Policy is listed and disclosed in Section #8 that specifies: SHOULD YOU ELECT TO CANCEL YOUR MOVE WITH AMERICAN MOVING & FREIGHT, YOU MUST CALL OUR CANCELLATION LINE *************) BETWEEN 10AM AND 6PM EST WITHIN 24 HOURS OF ELECTRONICALLY SIGNING THE ORIGINAL AMERICAN MOVING & FREIGHT AGREEMENT. THIS 24-HOUR GRACE ****** DOES NOT RESTART WHEN CONTRACTS ARE AMENDED AND RE-SIGNED. CANCELLATION REQUESTS RECEIVED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF SIGNING THE ORIGINAL AGREEMENT WITH AMERICAN MOVING & FREIGHT WILL RECEIVE A FULL REFUND. CANCELLATION REQUESTS RECEIVED AFTER THE 24-HOUR GRACE ****** ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. We have our Staff speaking with you on 10/19 outside the Cancellation Policy Window That you were thinking of canceling however decided to stay on the Operations calendar -- Client was just very concerned due to the uncertainty around the dates for pickup and delivery suggested he designate a requested delivery date and if need be reschedule pickup also he said he will look at his schedule and call back if changes need to be made but feeling more reassured now. All dates are only estimates and are not guaranteed. Pick up and Delivery dates as well as timelines are estimations. You have signed off on a 3-day pick up window between Saturday 11/05 and Monday 11/07.
Then on 11/04/2022 01:24:30 pm ******************** Staff spoke with you regarding the pick up time, we informed him that it is set for the 7th, and he wanted to change that information once a carrier has selected a day on their route there is no way to change it due to scheduling. Now **** wants to cancel service, focusing on reviews and that the 7th doesn't work for him, informed there is no way to change that date once it has been assigned. Also reminding **** that he signed the *** agreeing that the 7th was ok for pickup. We had to inform him that he would be forfeiting his deposit if he cancels today since he was out of the cancellation policy window. Customer wanted to speak to the manager. Management sent **** an extremely thorough email explaining company policy and why canceling this far away from the original booking date disqualifies him from receiving a refund. Unfortunately, at this time Management will not be able to accommodate his request since AMF is simply abiding by the *** Agreement the customer agreed to at the time of booking the reservation. No refund has been approved and therefore this file is considered closed. No further action is required.

Thank you for your email. First we would like to apologize that you didn't have a favorable experience. We understand that there was hesitancy from you in regards to the exact day that the items would be picked up since the day of booking. The window of your choosing was November 5th, November 6th or November 7th of 2022. A member of our customer care team sent an email on November 4th with the information that the truck and crew would be arriving on November 7th. Our customer care representatives are trained in delivery spreads per the *** standards which are based on the distance of the moving from address and the destination location. Please keep in mind the truck driver can drive up to 8 hours a day or 500 miles a day, this does not include breaks and weigh stations.Unfortunately, when you're operating based off of logistics everything has to be estimated as there are so many factors that can impact logistic scheduling. Please understand that the service you purchased is a long distance state to state shipping service. Our movers typically travel hundreds of miles to be on location on the date you choose, and often travel thousands of miles to deliver your items. Cancelling the service you purchased has a negative impact on all parties involved.
In accordance with your agreement signed at booking, the deposit collected is not refundable after 24 hours. We certainly urge you to reconsider alternatives to cancelling service to avoid the loss of your deposit. Should you choose to change your mind please let us know right away to avoid any service interruption or delays. Please understand at this time your shipment is cancelled per your request. No refund or credit is due. Please call us with any questions or concerns. Our company is still willing and able to service your shipment.

Then told me they cant move me. After multiple attempts to reach them. Had to call police to have them checked. Now refuse to refund my deposit. Client's Contract has an inventory list containing 10 items and 44 pieces total. The client secured a deposit with AMF for $510.00 via check through our processor. This BME Agreement has ***************************** E-Signature displaying that the customer has agreed to the Company Policy Terms & Conditions within this contract.
Our BME has the companys Terms & Conditions disclosed within the Agreement. Our records reflect on 11/02/2022 02:27:34 pm ************************** reached out to Ms. ****** to advise her of the new contact information for our ************* We sent an email with a new contact number. Then on 11/03/2022 06:07:32 pm We received notice from the Customer that she`s now ********************** within the state. However due to the timeline that has passed from the original Booking date of her reservation on Tuesday Oct. 11th, the Cancellation Policy allows a 24 hour window to be eligible for a refund of the deposit. After reviewing the specifics of the account, we are unable to accommodate the customers request for a refund due to the timeline and the Signed Agreement that reflects the customer agreeing to our company Policy. Our Staff advised the Customer on 11/04/2022 11:20:30 amThe Customer Support Dep. informed ****** that no refund was approved, advised it was nonrefundable. The Staff is more than happy to make sure the customer has a copy of the Signed BME that outlines the Contract with the Disclosures of Cancellation Policy and how pick up protocols are handled while proceeding forward with services. Once they received my money they blocked my number thankfully I had taken pictures of the truck that took my stuff is the only reason why I have my stuff this company is the biggest scam never use them! My stuff wasn’t delivered on time as promised I had to chase this company to find my belongings and now it’s mostly broken after paying thousands and thousands of dollars to get my things. We do understand that the client has experienced some frustrations regarding the events that have taken place; the file begins with the client, *********************, requesting a quote and then booking relocation services with American Moving & Freight (AMF) on Wednesday 9/28/2022. ********************* signed a Binding Moving Estimate Agreement/Contract Thursday, 06/16/2022 02:05:35 PM (ET) that reflects the estimated move date of Saturday 10/01/2022 - Monday 10/03/2022, a space reservation for 354 CF at the locked in rate of $3.85 per CF, going from **************************** to ************************ which is approx. ***** miles. Client's Contract has an inventory list containing 15 items and 31 pieces total. The client secured a deposit with AMF for $706.73 via check through our processor. This BME Agreement has ********************* E-Signature displaying that the customer has agreed to the Company Policy Terms & Conditions within this contract.
The ***************** phone appointment was completed on 09/28/2022 04:21:34 pm which allows the customer to make changes to the original Agreement before the pick up is executed. Upon the completion of this phone appointment, ***** had decided to make those changes by increasing the overall space reservation and cost. This increase of items makes the space reservation 546 CF of volume. The additional volume required the client to secure an additional payment for this increase and a payment of $1,000.00 was submitted for processing. The final Inventory count is 25 different items and 44 separate pieces. The Agent also applied a total of $1,400.00 discount to the overall cost which will be deducted on site with the carrier. A new BME was signed by the customer reflecting an agreement on the services to be conducted as well as the Companys Terms & Conditions.
Our records indicate that on 10/03, we received an email from you expressing how you were upset due to the increase of the cost onsite. Our Department Mgr. replied back explaining to you why the cost can increase if there are extra items or the items on the inventory list are bulkier than estimated, packing/labor is required, flights of stairs, a long carry or if a shuttle is required. Per industry standards payment is required before loading and unloading of the items. A member of our customer care team has requested your bill of lading from your shipping company, Great American *** Lines, for review of the extra charges. Please keep in mind this process takes 1-3 business days and we will be in contact with you after the review.
We received the paperwork from the carrier which displayed 10/04/2022 10:29:59 am The customer had an extra 100 CF (addl $385.00) then adding $385 and then the additional fuel of $85.00. (which comes to $470.00 unanticipated costs). Bringing the total cost of the move to $4,410.42 minus our deposit of $1706 leaving the remaining balance of $2,704.42, Customer paid $1,000 at pick up. The remaining payment for delivery is $1704.42. The paperwork is accurate and correct. The carrier charged according to the used space on the truck by the customer's items.
Our Staff spoke with you on 10/14/2022 11:07:43 am. The client wanted to complain about additional CF and cost so I broke down everything that was in the notes from the Manager. Regarding Delivery; 10/15/2022 10:38:45 am Our Staff received the customers text the after hours requesting Delivery ETA , called carrier 3x no answer, customer advised today 10/15 is her ****, advised customer to reach out monday so we can get delivery eta for customer. The **** is not a guaranteed Delivery Date. This date allows the carrier to know when the customer is able to accept their goods from the carrier. By Regulations, the carrier has up to 30 business days from the customers **** Date to delivery before being penalized. If the **** Date is 10/15/2022, the 30th business day falls on Friday 11/25/2022. As you stated, your items were delivered already and Nov. 25th has not passed so the carrier delivered within the Regulatory Timeline. However, you stated that you experienced some damages. If you contact the ********************** Our Agents can provide you information on how to file a claim based on the elected level of coverage you selected on your Bill of Lading. The Claims Carrier will then review your claim and provide you a settlement offer for your goods. Each Claims Carrier operates the same but some do have their own standard protocol. The ************** will be able to answer your questions in more detail than your brokers office. We can only encourage you to file the proper claim if you are seeking compensation for any damages to your goods while in the carriers possession.

They gave a quote and sent a company that showed up hours late and tried to charge double what the quoted price was originally. From $6,500 to $14,000. They required a $2,600 deposit and refuse to return it, even though I did not use their services. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM! Theres also a secondary stop listed that is within a few minutes of the destination address. The reservation was booked for a full truck (equaling 26 foot box truck) without an itemized list. The client secured a deposit with AMF for $2,190.00 via check through our processor. This *** Agreement has ************************* E-Signature displaying that the customer has agreed to the Company Policy Terms & Conditions within this contract.
Our records show that days before the pick up, the customer was submitting his finalized inventory list to our Office Staff. Then on 10/28/2022 11:23:31 am the ********************** spoke to the customer who had called in for p/u eta , said he won't be ready for delivery within a couple of days told him when the carrier calls to give them his FADD from that date it will be **** business days he said thank you. The following day, 10/29/2022 05:29:54 pm Our ********************** spoke to the ************** who advised us that the customer refused service onsite the day of pick up because he didn't wanna go with a revised estimate. Clients inventory would use more than the space reservation on the ***.

1 starHORRIBLE moving company! I contracted to move with them at the end of July, but just got a bad vibe from the sales person on the call. I paid my deposit, but then decided to cancel within the cancellation period to which the company said "Yes, you can cancel, we will refund your money". That was nearly 3 months ago and I still have not seen my money. Each time I call I am told "Do not worry, you're next in line to get your refund but we just have a lot of paperwork to process so we have not gotten to you yet." - this exact line has been used for the past 3 months. I'm fairly certain my money has simply been stolen.All I can say is DO NOT work with these people. There are many other, better companies out there.American Moving and Freight LLC
