  I had ********* ****** in Lucid installed last August. Within two weeks I noticed a large scratch on my island. Not sure if it was there when installed and I didn't catch it , or what happened. Needless to say, they would not cover it under the warranty. We have owned Quartz and Granite and NEVER had scratches. I am now up to multiple scratched from everyday use in addition to the large one I have had from the beginning.

A Quality Claim was submitted on your behalf and reviewed by Cosentinos ******************* After a thorough review, Cosentinos Quality Team determined that the scratches are not a manufacture defect and as such your Quality Claim was denied. Dekton surfaces are stone products which are extremely durable and under normal use are very stain and scratch resistant.Scratches occurring in installed Dekton surfaces are considered accidental damage as they will not occur unless an external force or interaction causing the scratch occurs. The Dekton Warranty does not cover accidental damage, and as such, scratches are not covered under the Dekton Warranty.

  Poorly installed Dekton countertops, contracted by Lowe's in Southport NC. Seams completely chipped and poorly placed, counter depth too thin, and installation made it impossible to add backsplash or tiling to cover gaps from install wrong sized materials that renders this unusable. The entire countertop is an inappropriate depth and the tile people at Made New in Southport, NC who use the same contractor, (Consentino/Stone Systems) have advised my mom that this installation should have never occurred at the 1 inch depth of the countertop as it can shatter easily and makes it impossible to tile or add a backsplash which she was planning to do with Made New in Southprot. Consentino/Stone Systems) obviously should have advised my 75 year old elderly mother who just lost her husband this was much too thin a depth to use on a countertop and that tiling behind it or adding a matching backsplash would not be possible along with shoddy installation with terrible seams which appears. I wish I had been present to see the installation and act on her behalf but I lived out of state at the time.

  ***** selected the beautiful Dekton product in a 2cm thickness. 2cm thickness is commonly used for Countertops and does not pose any safety concerns. At the template appointment, the Fabricator pointed out the gaps on the wall and offered backsplash. Backsplash option was declined as the existing tile was going to stay. Thank you for reaching out with your valuable feedback. This was resolved amicably between Cosentino, Lowes and *****.

  I selected my slabs on 11/18/24 and was told installation would be done in 1-2 weeks (excluding holidays, of course). Its now 1/10/25 and despite multiple phone calls and voicemails from me and the Lowes kitchen designer Im working with, I have not heard a single word from this company. No calls or voicemails returned. No emails. Nothing. Its going on 4 months without a fully functioning kitchen - worst, no kitchen sink. And to top it all off, now Im having to fight to get all my money back. Seems they had zero intention of ever installing the countertops.

  Last night, our Cosentino quartz kitchen sink spontaneously cracked less than three years after installation. The sink was empty and had not been used for several hours.The company claims its "warranty" does not cover cracks. We do not recommend this product or this company, which does not stand by its products.

  We purchased Dekton countertops made by Cosentino specifically because we were told this material is one of the strongest countertop materials out there, in terms of stains and cracks/chips, etc. The very first day it was installed it had a stain on it that we noticed right after the installers left. The stain was the size of a quarter and did not respond to any type of regular cleaner. It took 3 subsequent visits from the installers to remove with professional grade cleaner (stuff we would never have on hand regularly.) That was our first indication that this material doesn't live up to its claims. Then, a week later, as my husband was unloading the dishwasher, a huge chunk of countertop came out when he must've bumped it with a dish (he doesn't even remember exactly what happened because it was that unremarkable.) A few days after that a chip came out of another part of the counter when it was bumped by a pan. We were told that none of this was covered under warranty, even though we literally had had the counters for 2 weeks when all of this happened. A company representative did come out to look at it, but no solutions were offered, not even repairs. We have been married for 17 years and have lived in 7 different houses, with countertops ranging in material from quartz to tile to Corian and never once have we ever even scratched a countertop, let alone had huge chunks come out. Additionally, our kitchen use is basic-- we've never even pounded chicken b****** for any recipe, nor do we have any intention of doing so. And yet somehow our counters that we paid a lot of money for are already ruined? And the company won't pay to fix or replace them? This tells us that the company knows their product is c*** Save yourself a lot of stress and money and go with another company that actually has a good warranty and stands by their product.

  Our counters, installed 3 months ago, are quartz silestone from Cosentino ( ********* ) They were installed with scratches and small chips at regular intervals along the leading edge which we didn't notice at installation.. Also the quartz itself chips very easily, unlike the last quartz silestone counters we had from Cambria. I was hoping for a no charge service call to determine a course of action befitting $7000 purchase... perhaps some money back, and live with it...Nope, 7k wasted, and no call back. A huge mistake.Do yourself a favor and ********** and Cosentino for counters.
