On or about, late November or early December, I Hired Cape Coast Pressure Cleaning to: clean, add sand where needed and seal the pavers on my driveway. Mr. Bryan M**** (owner of Cape Coast Pressure Cleaning), who I have used several times in the past for pressure cleaning my driveway, recommended that I have my driveway sealed. He claimed it would prolong the life of the pavers and keep them from getting moldy and shifting. In late March / early April, I noticed the sand he put down and sealed between the Pavers were beginning to wash away. I immediately called him and he never returned my call or any other calls until I finally threatened him with contacting the BBB. He finally came out in May, looked it over and said he would take care of it within the next couple of weeks. I mentioned that would be great and additionally, I would be on vacation until the end of June and he could do it in that time frame, if for some reason he couldn't get to it before then. Upon returning from my vacation, I noticed that nothing was done with my driveway. I called Mr. M**** a few different times and never received a call back. I finally sent him an email mentioning that I would be contacting the BBB and have still heard nothing from. In my opinion, a fair settlement would for his company to remedy the driveway problem mentioned above or refund my money. An apology for blowing me off would also be nice. Thank you in advance for your help in this matter. *** ******

Hello, for 3 years I’ve  recommended having these pavers repaired and laid properly due to the edge sinking and gaps increasing, getting larger. I do not offer these services only cleaning and sealing. *** made a choice years ago to not repair but to keep having us come clean. About 2 years later when sealed I informed *** that this would help some but not a permanent solution, it would seal the pavers surface great but sealer cannot keep pavers from moving if the landscape is sinking under it.
About 6 months after I sealed *** reached out to me about some concerning gaps in the pavers. I came by a few weeks later and I pointed out that the degrading sinking edges/areas are getting worse with each hard rain as this issue had been growing since I first arrived to clean in 2019. I offered to come out again to put down more sand and sealer to help and said I’d recommended again to have these repaired professionally before applying more sealer.

I also made him aware that I was going to be out of office due to a birth in the family and other family emergencies for 5-8 weeks. Leaving there I was unaware  of a voicemail *** had left me a few days prior, threatening to bad mouth my business online and report to BBB.
I’ve been up front with *** for years about the pavers sinking and separating issue. The lot is very wet summer time and *** has known of these pavers sinking for a good time. I don’t take “threats” to my business name well especially from someone who is trying to make me responsible for his home builders issue from original paver install.
Even when I met *** for the first time he mentioned how the home builder didn’t do the pavers well. I’m done being bullied by cus***ers who want to blame me for the installer’s problems.
I have a great local network and you can talk to anyone about us, I recommend looking at my online reviews as well.
      thank you

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: Mr. M**** has offered no form of resolution. As mentioned in my original complaint, he said he would take care of it within the next few weeks. If he had no intention of doing it then due to the rainy season, he should have told me, instead of blowing me off. I don't care if he wants to wait until Mid-November, that could also work better for me, as I can see if the black mold and mildew comes back after the sealing, which was the original reason I had the driveway sealed in the first place.

I believe Mr. M**** has overreacted, as far as my attempt to bully him. Had he returned any of my (many) calls, before or after he said he would fix the problem, I would not have threaten him with contacting the BBB.

Mr. M**** never mentioned that I should have the pavers repaired, in fact as he said, I mentioned to him, that the original contractor did a poor job laying the pavers and was aware that at some point, I would need to have them repaired. That being said, if he really told me that the sealant wasn't going to work or for only a year, do you think I would have paid $2000.00 to have it done anyway. Mr. M**** claimed the sealant job should last between 3-5 years, it wasn't even six months.

In addition to the wash outs along the side pavers, there are several smaller washouts distributed throughout the driveway, along the concrete entrance apron and where the front porch and the garage meet the pavers. Heck, I even have weeds growing in between the pavers which were supposedly sealed.

In summary, I reject Mr. M****'s response since I saw no form of resolution  or compromise. If Mr. M**** is willing to come out after the wet season and put down more sand and sealer as he wrote in his response, I would gladly accept that.

      Sincerely,

      ****** ******
