On Sept 21st, I toook my car to Take5 for an oil change. They did not completely drain the oil from the engine and added 8 quarts of oil. I drove out of the location and turned up the road. Before I got to the street light, all the dashboard lights turned on, engine blew. The crew that worked on my car immediately took ownership of the issue. I did not want to have remanufactured engine for fear of the issues with the previously used engine or anything that might happen afterwards. A representative from Take 5 worked with me to replace my engine. They took my car to pep boys, ordered the engine and I waited for 2 months. They took my car from ******** to ************** with very little explanation as to what happened. I finally got my car back at the end of December, 29th. On January 18th, the serpentine belt on the engine broke. They sent me to a mechanic all the way in ***************, over 1 1/2 hours away to pick up my car. The belt was replaced and the car was returned in a few days. On May 21st, another belt on the engine broke. Take 5 does not want to repair the vehicle or take ownership for the ongoing issues. The warranty company also denied the claim because they said their engine has nothing to do with broken belts. The newly installed engine is ripping belts. I am not sure how you can deny that two ripped belts in a four month period have nothing to do with a newly installed engine, but that is what they are saying. In addition to this, I can not take my car to ******** because Take 5 reversed the credit card payment they made on the initial engine install. Pep Boy will not honor the work they did on the initial ********** car has broken down in remote areas at night. I now have a car with thousands of dollars in repairs to be done that were caused by the careless work of Take 5 and they refuse to help or answer any of my calls. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU CHOOSE TO GO TO TAKE 5 to service your vehicle. You may wind up like me

An engine with lower millage was purchased and shipped to ********* however, they were unable to complete the engine replacement.  The vehicle was then moved to a  ************* dealership to complete the repair.  After the serpentine belt broke, we paid to replace the belt and pulley.  It has been determined that the second broken serpentine is not related to the newly installed engine.  The credit card payment to ******** was cancelled due to them not completing the repairs as contracted.

I am rejecting this response because:

The engine breakdown was a result of the new engine and installation.  The car was running fine.

    Sincerely,

on 2/10 i took my vehicle to this Take 5 for an oil change. on 2/25 the engine of the vehicle began to have large knock. took the car to my mechanic who found less then one quart of oil in the engine and noted there was no oil leaks or evidence of oil consumption from the engine. I went back to the Take 5 which performed the oil change in which they showed me the surveillance video of my cars oil change which shows them putting less then 1.5 quarts in my engine, yet my receipt shows i paid for 4 quarts of oil. Even though i possess video evidence of the negligence from service technicians and being charged for 4 quarts of oil when i was not given that amount, Take 5's insurance company denied my claim to replace my engine.
