      My transmission failed me. Had it towed to Clermont and was told it was beyond repair and would need to be replaced. Come to find out he just patched a hole in the side of the case. Was forced to have the transmission replaced again at a different shop as the owner would not reply.

      Rafael C******* provided me an estimate of $1800 to $2200 on 9/27/22 to rebuild my transmission. I told him to move forward while paying a deposit of $1000.00, He told me it should be completed in a week. He did not complete the work until 10/21/22. At that time, I paid an additional $1500 for the repair for a total of $2500. The transmission was still not functioning correctly. I brought it back to him and left it with him four more times. Each time, he told me it was another leak. On Thanksgiving of 2022, the transmission went out completely on I-4 in Thotosassa. I had to have the vehicle towed to his shop for a cost of $406. He told me he would rebuild it and that he was waiting on a tool. On 12/12/22, he texted me and told me my vehicle should be fixed in 2 days. On 12/14/22, he informed me that my transmission could not be repaired and that he had to find another one. On 12/22/22, he called me to tell me that he had found another transmission and it would be completed the following week. On 12/28/22, he informed me that his shop was closing and to come get my vehicle. On 12/29/2022, I had the vehicle towed to my home in Orlando for another cost of $168.00. When the Tow truck driver arrived, he informed me that I was not the first person that this has happened to; and, I probably will not be the last. After inspecting the vehicle, I do not see a torque converter anywhere. The transmission, driveshaft, skid plate and some miscellaneous parts are in the back of the truck. There is burnt transmission fluid all over the back of my 2002 Isuzu Rodeo. Throughout this time, I have incurred a total of $2433.97 in car rentals and $1293.04 in Uber's. This shop has cost me a total of $6801.01. Not only is my truck still not fixed, but it is also in pieces and some of the pieces are missing.
