********************** case is an example of the difficulty most Americans face with their decision of what type of insurance they should purchase so that their premiums are affordable on a monthly basis.  SGIC offers a very wide range of Policies to allow consumers to customize benefits based on the affordability of monthly premium.  In this case, we do not know what criteria ****************** used to select his coverage, but he worked with an independent insurance agent and purchased an SGIC short-term medical insurance policy with a $2,500 annual deductible and a $500 limit on Emergency Room benefits.  When ****************** visited the *** SGIC handled his claim promptly, within 3 days of receipt, and paid according to the benefits he selected.

Your agents that your contract to sell your services sell as full coverage. On top of that, that I can go to any medical service provider I want and it was 80/20 for ER services after deductible is met. Even with the $500 per visit. You’re not telling the whole story that even in your own employees words from Florida, your company regularly does this. You declined $1926 in bills that in your own I’m house rep said was “out of the average cost” of an ER. I’m a sales manager that used your services in transition. Don’t think for a second I’m unaware of bad sales tactics and your public omission, to “retraining”. You are aware as your horrible reputation still shows this and your google reviews that are part of “selling” your company to individual agents. Your copy paste is sloppy. Shall we continue? Fool me once, but I know you won’t contact me to make it right or even have the conversation. You know who I am clearly.

My wife got a policy for Southern Guaranty Insurance Company as the agent she spoke with CONFIRMED their policy covers her ***** visits only to find out by my wife's OgGyn does not accept this insurance. When she called SGIC to complain the agent acknowledged their mistake by confirming the agent my wife spoke to at first gave her wrong information but even after this happened SGIC refused to do a refund for a service they sold my wife that was non existent. I hope everyone considering this medical insurance service saves their time and money and stays away from them.

I was in the middle of purchasing this insurance. While I was holding to get it all set up I looked at the BBB reviews and decided to back out and wait to think on it a bit. The supervisor WOULD NOT take my cancellation without totally harassing me. That alone would be enough to make me change my mind. Good grief!

I signed up for SGIC after their salesperson assured me over the phone that my doctor visits in network would be covered as well as most x-rays and lab work. My plan cost around $260/month. After searching for over 6 months to find an available doctor in network (over $1500 spent on SGIC at this point) I finally see the doctor and follow up twice. Then I get the bills. SGIC only covered $175 total out of the $1360 I was charged. It would've been less expensive to just pay out of pocket. SCAM INSURANCE COMPANY. DO NOT ENROLL!!!

The same happened to us Laura l. I've had it for 2 months. And when we were searching to get an appointment scheduled no one accepted this insurance. Asked to cancel and get a refund and said they couldn't. Due to over 30 days. Never even used it I could've used them funds on my kids. That place is a scam. What's really bad is I called bluecross blue shield at first and I was told that they worked with that insurance. So they transferred me to this insurance. Thinking it was going to be ok.

I wish I would have checked the reviews before accepting this insurance. The Insurance lady that helped me with medicare hooked me up with this secondary Ins. Company. I had them 2 years and didn't even realize that they weren't paying the 20% that they were supposed to pay. I was told By medicare the claims weren't sent in so they sent them to me 2 years of them I sent them to the Insurance company they told me to put my policy number on all the papers which were like 150 of them I hadn't heard anything from them so I called them and they claimed they only had 3 out of a 150 And didn't even have an excuse why they didn't have them do not use the central company they are crooks.
