I get being placed in a room with a another person. However, the roomswere extremely cramped with all the equipment, and there was barely enough room for a chair for my visitors to fit. The nurse Always appeared to be quite hurried and too busy to really listen to any evolving conditions. The doctors basically came in and out once in a while, saida few things, and then moved onto the next patient. I was not informed of my condition or conditions at the time. I had blood clots in both my legs and other regions of my body, which they were according to them trying to break down and fightan infection and that’s about all the information I got every day. Once they were happy that they completed the blood Clot breaking down phase, even though I needed an open heart surgery and they had an open heart surgery Bay with surgeons they said and I quote. I am not a good candidate for surgery and they would be returning me to my admitting hospital which was Saint Anthony’s. At the time I did have insurance it did approve everything I needed. However, the clots weren’t broken down instead of going to Saint Anthony’s. I went to HCA Largo where they proceeded to treat me for my clots infection and my heart infection. They proceeded to perform an Emergency open heart surgery to replace my blocked valve, which they said another 12 hours and I would not have made it. I will never step foot in another Bay Care facility And I will never recommend someone step foot in a Bay Care facility. Because the doctors may deem you “not a good fit for surgery” Let that sink in, They won’t tell you that they’re willing to just let you die. They’ll simply say they can’t do surgery.Review fromLan N

1 starBefore I came to the *********************** at *******************************************, I called my healthcare insurance company twice to verify bout my co-payment, they told me $15. When I came to the ************** they also gave me paperwork stating that my co-payment would be $15, I asked the receptionist and the therapist himself to make sure that my co-payment for that visit would be $15. They both said yes. After the therapy session, I came home, felt worse than before I went there and never came back there. A few weeks later, they sent me a bill for $30.17 double the bill that they quoted me! What a ********************************** The worst that I have ever been to in my life. Not only they fraudulently doubled billed me but the therapy session made me feel worse not better. Stay away from *********************** at *******************************************, They are crooks, cheats, liars, frauds, scam people especially the vulnerable ones that cannot defend themselves like me!Review fromRobin D

1 star********, ** Location NO STARS - STAY CLEAR, they falsely add comments to your chart and charges to your visit so they can over charge the insurance company. Very unethical practice.Review frompamela d

5 starsI have nothing but good to say about Baycare! They did not charge me for what my insurance didn't cover for my cancer treatments (a lot) and everyone was kind and not just the cancer department.Review fromLeith R

1 starWorst health care system in the city of *****. How they employee some of these doctors is beyond me. PA **** **** is nothing short of a liar who defames people and mis diagnoses them to their face and then writes a whole bunch of medical problems that he found in there chart like he actually did something. He deserves to be investigated for defamation and negligence. One of the worst experience Ive ever had in a doctors office. Man was more worried I smelled like smoke then he was of doing his job and then accused me of being a drug addict in my recorded file online. Dr. ******* is no better, absolute clown. Had me drive two hours after reviewing my medical information just to tell me there was nothing he could do for me. Its really sad that ***** and the surrounding areas are filled with such trash as supposed medical help. As far as st joes goes also nothing but terrible doctors in their hospital, Ive had to threaten them with mal practice lawsuits because they want to send you bills for thousands of dollars after not doing a **** thingReview fromMaria V

2 starsBaycare Medical Group was a good health care provider but it is now under St. Joseph's Hospital and they are finding new ways to add unexpected charges to their patients bills above what Medicare pays them. One example is charging $115.00 to their patients bills as a facility fee without notifying patients in a timely manner prior to services. This occurred twice to me with an out patient free standing clinics (not attached to the hospital) site. I never received the letter through the mail which Baycare claims it sent to me. My labs which were paid by Medicare at 100% when my doctors prescibed labs are now going to St. Joseph's hospital for processing and are being charged to the patient. I would not recommend Baycare Medical Group services because their billing processes are not fair to the patient's rights. This is what is going on now that they have merged with St. Joseph's and are known as Baycare Health Systems. I have contacted their customer services numerous times and continue to try to remove $226.+ and now my charges continue to mount unexpectedly. I filed an appeal with Baycare and Medicare!Review fromDavid W

1 starMy experience at the emergency room was highly unsatisfactory. I presented with chest pain and numbness in my arms. After checking in, I was instructed to wait. I underwent a blood draw after 15 minutes, but was then returned to the waiting area where I remained for three hours. Despite repeatedly inquiring about the delay at the front desk, I was informed that the facility was overwhelmed with patients. I requested permission to leave and call an ambulance for expedited care, but was instructed to remain seated.Frustrated, I left the hospital, only to be persuaded to return by my wife due to concerns about a potential heart attack. After an additional 1.5 hours of waiting, totaling 4.5 hours in the waiting room, I approached the front desk again, stating that I could no longer endure the wait and requested to be transferred to another hospital. At that point, my IV port was removed and I was dismissed without any further explanation or assistance.Later, I learned from another medical team that my blood work results should have clarified the urgency of my situation. This lack of communication left me in distress, uncertain about my health status.I subsequently received a bill for $3,000. Given the inadequate care and communication, I am unwilling to pay this amount. I am considering pursuing legal action for what I perceive as negligence.Review fromDavid S

2 starsPoorly organized! My baycare pcp said I should have a sleep study and gave me a copy of the referral with the phone number of the sleep center hand written on it. but said that the center would call me within 48 hours - no ******* i called the sleep study center - they didn't have my referral so I should go back back to my PCP, via the portal, which I did. Never heard anything ******* I faxed the referral to the sleep center myself. Nothing happened. So I called the Baycare experience line and left them a vm.This triggered a call from my pcp's office trying to blame the delay on a recent holiday, even though this started 4 days before the holiday. And they told me that the phone number that my PCP gave me was wrong.Good service would have been if someone had called me about a week ago!Review fromJohn H

3 starsI am a guardian for an elderly patient. He was admitted back in Feb 2022. He went on Medicaid and nursing home. Every month for 6 mos I get a call from gulf collection agency. I tell them he has dementia I’m his guardian what are you calling about and they tell me they can’t speak to me “ hippa laws” unless I send POA I tell them the company that put you on this collection has it or you wouldn’t have my number. I also said I’m not blindly sending it to them unless they tell me the name of the company. NO they can’t and hang up! So finally I tell them listen I will give you his Medicaid number clearly you don’t have NO they hang up. Now remember they are calling my personal number, the patient has dementia and they can never speak to him. I tell them I’m trying to get u paid! As the months progressed and they keep hanging up on me I call back speak to supervisor - who’s solution was to say they would remove my number he wouldn’t even take the Medicaid number! So I take a guess and call Baycare and sure enough it was theirs and they had the wrong Medicaid number for that bill from Feb 2022. Don’t understand how that happened when he has been there several times after and the number is correct? But seriously the collection agency should have common sense if I didn’t go out of my way to figure this out you probably would never have been paid since the agency didn’t seem to want to go the xtra step! Incredibly frustrated! And all an error on baycare part - I get harassed and all I had to go out of my way to figure out! Someone needs to have some common sense - even the voice mail at baycare to call in and pay they threaten you if your not the patient hang up we aren’t speaking to you! Seriously lighten up!
