Respectfully, we have not given any sort of time limit to investigate **************' issues. We were scheduled to have a crew out to her home today (12/11/23), but she called on Friday to cancel that. She informed us that she would contact us at a later date to reschedule, and we were fine with that. We have been to her home before to address the problem, and if it is persisting there may be some other underlying issue that needs to be addressed. We hope to get a better understanding of this upon return.

On Aug 25th, 2022, Florida Anchor and Barrier, ***********, **, gave me a quote to fix my Barrier under the house. Part of the Sales Pitch and on the Contract was stated that "Patches" would be fixed for free. It was explained to me that "Patches" is where an electrician or Plumber would have to cut through the barrier to do their work. In Nov of 2022 I had Plumbing work done. Right after the work I called the above company to come and fix the Patch. He was annoyed that I was asking for this. I thought that was odd and verified that it was in their contract. He stated that yes it is. He scheduled me for December 26th a month and a half later. I was surprised it was so far away as the hole in my floor would be open all that time. To make this short:-Showed up on 26th "to see what I wanted" NOT to fix the Hole in my floor.-I called the owner or Manager who told me he is loosing money on fixing patches and could not do it. BUT he would fix MINE since his sales person told me they would. I have never been spoken to so rudely!!-I paid my money!! It was on the Contract!! The sales person used this as an incentive.-He re-scheduled for Jan 16th, 2023.-Did not show up on 16th.-I called, they said they would show up on 18th.-NO show No call on the 18th.-Called and scheduled for 19th.-Did not show up on 19th. No phone calls to me any of the times listed above.Unbelievably BAD service.I still can see the dirt through the hole in my bathroom.I would like compensation so I can hire a competent, reliable, trustworthy company to fix 2ft X 2ft "Patch"

We sincerely apologize for any delays, as well as missing the appointment. If you could please give the office a call, we will get you back on the schedule as soon as possible. There may be a slight delay in getting to you, due to high amount of work we have been doing for the people affected by the hurricanes last fall and the amount of resources we have dedicated to those areas, but we will make our best effort to get to you in a timely manner. Also, based on your contract we did not extend a warranty to any / all future repair work you may have to have done on your home as the initial job was only a few small repairs, but if we told you we would take care of then it we will get it done for you.

On 9/9/20, we signed a contract, "5 Year Set ************************ We had an area in the kitchen floor that was changing and making noises. They did repairs. I called them and they came out for the exact same issue on 10/31/22. "Rehammered some loose shims." Since this was done, that area is no longer a problem, however, we have a very large area (all across the bedroom suite) that is now making a lot of noise. The bedroom never had an issue until they came out and "rehammered some loose shims". Their company rep came out, I thought to fix the situation, however he came to let me know that "it's not a warranty." He also stated that "other people have thought the same thing, that's why they've changed their forms." He said that he called his manager while here "to see what he could do". "He didn't answer, he must be getting the guys out." I don't believe he made the call but rather acted like he did. I have yet to hear from anyone. We signed a contract. It states "5 Year Set ************************ What they've changed the current contract to say does not affect me. I live in a 55 plus community, they were advertised and still do in our monthly gazette. I am concerned that they may be taking advantage of other elderly people as well. My husband is a disabled vet with many issues. The stress that we both feel anytime we walk anywhere in our bedroom suite is not right. Now we will have to hire someone to come out and fix whatever they did to create the new problem. This is not right. I understand that they did work, when they came out in 2020. However, we paid a total of $1240.00 which included the 5 year set up maintenance service. I believe that they are dishonest. I do not trust them to come back out and "Fix" what they created. I would like to receive a fair amount back so that I can hire someone to fix whatever they created. I do not know how to upload the contract. I would be happy to take a picture and send or mail.

In 2020 we performed some minor repairs at the customers house which they were satisfied with. They called us back to re-inspect a squeak that had developed years later and after a hurricane.  When our inspector arrived, he found the issue to be quite minor and rather than charge them for services, he attempted to help the customer out by tightening up a few shims in the area of concern (which is common over time with homes settling).

Our 5yr maintenance is a service offered that does not come with a 5yr warranty but rather is a recommendation that people get their homes looked at every 5yrs or so due to problems such as what has happened here. Settling in manufactured homes occurs commonly over time, especially with our soil and climate. Firming up a few shims in one area will not cause a squeak to occur in a completely different area unless settling has occurred in that area or there is a another underlying issue.

When we were called out the second time, we want to reiterate that it was after a hurricane. Hurricanes have been known to affect homes,  especially mobile and manufactured homes. We would be more than happy to reinspect and present the customer with an estimate to fix any other squeaks or issues that have developed since then.

      Complaint: 19444888

Their letter proves all of our points.

If when they came out in 2020 and all they did was "some minor repairs", why was the amount they charged us $1240.00.  Seems awfully high for only minor repairs.  That was even a discounted amount because my husband and I are both veterans.  States it right on the contract that we signed.  Our contract that also says 5 YEAR SET UP MAINTENANCE SERVICE.  It's the plan that was sold to us, that for 5 years, if we had any other issues they would come out, and it would be handled.  That's why when we called because the floor was making the noise, in the EXACT same place as before, 2 years later, that there would be no issue when we called.  For them to say that  someone "attempted to help us out" is ridiculous.  It's a service we were sold.  The fact that they decided to change that a few years down the road doesn't impact us.

We are well aware that it differs from a warranty.  We're curious what definition of "maintenance service" they are using. "His attempt to help us out" has caused us problems in another area of the house, far removed from where the issue was in the first place.

This is the first time this company has used the "hurricane excuse" with us.  Not surprised with a couple of the tactics here.

We don't have to be schooled on manufactured homes, we live in one and have for quite some time.

Nor do we have to be educated on Florida and the soil and climate.  We have lived in the state of Florida for a significant amount of time.

We have never had any wind, flooding or hurricane damage of any kind in the area of Citrus county that we live in.  Had you done any type of research you would have known that.

Let us reiterate, when a company representative, ****, can stand in your kitchen, and say to you regarding a contract that you have signed from their company that states it is a "5 YEAR SET UP MAINTENANCE SERVICE"

and this is a direct quote from **** "That's why we changed our forms because a lot of people thought that".  That's not what we thought.  That's the way it was marketed and sold to all of us.  Why is it so difficult for some companies to do the right thing?

      .
      Sincerely,

**** came out on Sept 1st and I explained that we needed the home leveled. He came in and said out subflooring was the problem. We only needed 3 rooms leveled. It costs $8640 approx. Got a call from the *******, and said I would need to buy new flooring. I thought great the floors will be done. Went to ********** spend $1500 approx and came to the house to drop it off. After 4 hours from the start, I got a call said they were finished, but I still had the flooring in my car. All they wanted was the check. Came home, and did a walk-through and told him the floors were not level and also noticed a gaping hole under my dishwasher. He said I would be responsible for getting and installing 3/4 plywood to bring up the floors. And as for the hole and other areas, he said there wasn't anything they could do. Also said when we are ready to lay the flooring it would be an additional $1500 for them to install. So we called and then ***** came out. His inspection of what had been completed was this. We need to replace 35 piers, and replace the barrier and it would costs $20,000 roughly. As of this date we are walking on plywood floors and we are NOT very happy. Have called to speak with ****** and still no return call. We want this fixed right. My husband is an amputee and its hard enough for him to walk, muchless walk on uneven floors..

hired this company to replace threaded vapor barrier. They charged us 4,800 for the work. They sent 3 different crews to complete the work none of which did that. Each time someone came they claimed the other crews didnt do it correctly. Kurt was the salesman an assured us of excellent work none of which was true. I talked to Sean in the office among other people and he said he would send the best crew. Didnt happen. The first crew had a supervisor who slept in the car all day while the guys messed up the job. After they took our money never heard from them again, terrible customer service, to see if we were happpy with there service. I would like them to send a managament person to our house ,go under the trailer, and assure us the job was done completely. If not I am going further.
