I am financing a car car from this company and they are scamming me out of money I believe. The car is a 2002 ****** Carolla It is very damaged in the interior and also very damaged on the exterior. I only had the car for a week and it broke down. The company auto approval is charging me to fix it and I havent had the car for 30 days yet also the payments each week isnt what we agreed to verbally and shook hands on. The guy who sold me the car is not taking responsibility for selling me a defaulted car.

    RE: #********

JB purchased a 2002 ****** Corolla from Auto Approval on 4/15/2025. He purchased the vehicle As-Is with no warranty. He purchased the vehicle with a down payment of $600 and installments for tag, tax, and title to be made within the following four weeks. Per his contract, as he is financing the vehicle, he is responsible for maintaining FULL coverage insurance. If a customer fails to provide the appropriate requested insurance, we then apply ************* to protect our vehicle. ** was very aware of this, as he signed the documents stating these fees. ** never insured the vehicle at all. Thus, protecting our collateral, we applied the $21 CPI fee to his contract. Per Florida law, he is still liable to maintain basic insurance for himself.  A week after the purchase, he contacted our company regarding his vehicle not starting. We directed him to AA Complete Auto Repair. Any repair or service work that was done would be appointed to them. That is a separate company from Auto Approval.  ** purchased a used vehicle that is 23 years old. He saw the condition of the vehicle before purchasing it and did not complain until he burnt the starter of the vehicle. Therefore, Auto Approval will not be refunding JB any monies as he did purchase a USED As-IS vehicle.

I am rejecting this response because:

    Sincerely,

    ******** *****

i did not cause the car to brake down in the first week of financing the vehicle. Therefore I feel that they knew the car was damaged before they sold it. I am asking that they be responsible and either repair the car or refund me for any repairs

    Business Response

    Date: 05/09/2025

As stated on our first response, we will not be refunding any monies to **. His repair was done with another company, AA Complete Auto Repair, that is a separate company from Auto Approval. He purchased a used 23 year old vehicle. He was more than welcome to have a mechanic come with him upon the purchasing of the vehicle. Again, we will not be refunding any money to this customer.

On August 22, 2024, PB purchased a used 2006 ****** Camry Solara from Auto Approval. A down payment of $900 was made and the contract was to begin on September 6, 2024 with the first installment payment due. ** purchased this used vehicle and did not purchase an outside warranty. Our vehicles are sold As-Is. PB called our lot the Monday prior of having an issue with the vehicle and was transferred over to the repair shop, which is a separate company from the finance company. The payment was not made on time and the office continued leaving messages and sending over the payment link to her phone. ** also did not insure the vehicle at the time of purchase nor by the first payment. Thus, a CPI fee was placed on her account until she provided proof of that full coverage insurance that we required. Calls continued to be made to PB and messages left. When PB did call, she wanted her payment to be pushed to the end of her loan as she was low on financial funds and could not make the payment until several weeks later. We stated to PB that, unfortunately, we could not do so and reminded her that she was a bi-weekly account. She was also informed of the insurance. She was very adamant that she did indeed had insurance. We called her insurance on another phone with her on speaker phone to assure her, once again, that she did not insure our vehicle. Several minutes later, she called on 3-way with the insurance to add it to her account. PB was repossessed for default of her loan for payments. Therefore, Auto Approval will not be refunding any monies to PB.

** purchased a 2008 Mercury Mariner on 7/19/2023 from our company. Upon purchasing the vehicle, she was told by the salesman that the tires were marked with an 'X' indicating that they would need to be replaced. As we do not dispose or sell tires at out dealership, she was directed to purchasing used tires at a nearby location. Customer than *********************** her 'As-Is' purchase with an out of state license. She told the salesman she had recently moved to ******* for her job. The salesman stated that we do not finance any vehicles out of state, so she was much aware of this. After several months, ** came to the office complaining about a leak from her sunroof. The repair shop next door inspected the leak and concluded that debris was blocking the sunroof from closing completely. The removed the debris with an air hose and the sunroof was able to shut. The customer purchased a used car "As-Is' with no warranty. Auto Approval will not be refunded any monies on this account.

I purchased my car through finance on February 23rd 2023. I put down $2,500 on the car. I was supposed to start making payments March 17th for $100 a week even though I get paid bi-weekly.. my tag and title was supposed to be included in my purchase. Friday March 3rd 2023 I supposedly had a payment of $241.69 for tag and title which they wanted me to pay weekly for the whole month of March or by March 24th 2023. I questioned making payments on the tag and title on Monday because it didn't make sense to be making separate payments and car payments on top of that. ***** the office manager called me on Monday stating that I had to make a payment $482.58 for my car. I asked her why do I have to make a payment already and she stated that that's part of my car payment already. I was working so I was not able to come in because they are not taking payments over the phone supposedly. Tuesday I went to go get the money out the bank and go to speak with them and pay in person but they were closed at 4:39 p.m. Wednesday morning I had any plans to go to the office before I had to work and when I came outside my car was gone. I thought my car was stolen just to be discovered that they took my car for not coming in to make a payment for tag and title. When I went to speak with **** he was very nasty telling me I defaulted on my first payment and they were not going to keep my car financed they were canceling it effective immediately. I stayed to them what was going on and I also was in the hospital with my loved one and he told me all I'm making is excuses and kept pointing to paperwork that he takes to the wall staying no excuses here. After speaking with ***** about it she told me to ask **** again and talk to him to see if he will move forward. My girlfriend spoke with one about the situation and he eventually seemed more open about giving me my vehicle back but ***** said no. I asked for my $2,500 back because it has not been a month and they said no. Now I have no vehicle and I'm out of my money. Frauds ????
