      I visited the Brandon er for advent health, I was told when I first arrived it was rare that they would admit anyone and if they did they provide a hospital to hospital ambulance. I advised several times that my husband would drive me, the doctor came in my room and again advised they would not charge for this service and if they did to fight it. I contacted the hospital and they resubmitted the claim to my insurance company, but nothing changed. I tried to rectify this with the hospital but have not received any help, please help me resolve this issue.

      I am rejecting this response because: May 21 is when I called in to see if there was a response and also to report that I was charged per my doctor for iv meds I never received, they kept putting the lines in but never actually gave me an iv, this was reported to advent health on May 16, when I called in again I was told all they were doing is resubmitting the original amount back to my insurance company who has already declined to pay it, they said that's all advent health was able to assist with, were they incorrect and it is still under review? I'm so in the dark and this has been a terrible experience with adventhealth, Why is there a Brandon er that charges such a high amount to transfer to the main hospital? That is not helping your customers that need to recover.

      I am rejecting this response because: I was just giving more information on the issues that are occurring with the hospital billing, I still need to know what's going to be done with the massive bill I received for this seemingly required ambulance ride. I called 2 to 3 times about it, first was to report it looking back at my call logs that was around May 7th, that's when I saw it on my health insurance app, second was to follow up on it and add what my ** advised me about ivs listed and they were still waiting and reviewing it, then I was told the review was over and they were just rebilling my insurance, they are not going to pay it.This is why I was so against taking the ambulance, but the ** and nurse assured me advent does not charge for their hospital to their hospital, I can't believe what a nightmare this has become, please help me with the issue I have reported about the ambulance charge.

      I am rejecting this response because:I was required to sign that after the doctor assured me that they would not charge me for the ambulance, she told me that she heard I didn't want to take the ambulance and was going to get my husband to take me. I have set up payments for the rest of my bill, but I was lied to from a company I trusted, I had my daughter there, this has been a terrible experience and I am saddened that you are not willing to help me, this is def a training opportunity on your end, if you have a remote ER they should advise their patients correctly lying to them so they do what you want is not a good way to do business. Before this charge I was going to leave remarkable reviews everything else was great, much better than the Brandon hospital E.R, I would not recommend advent health.

      On May 4th 2023 I went into advent health with the concern of nausea and vomiting. I had recently gotten my wisdom teeth extracted, and was dealing with stronger pain meds that I had never taken before. I had been vomiting for hours without signs of stopping. I explained the reason of my visit solely for the nausea and vomiting, and explained the recent surgery. When assessing me, the doctor asked me if I had any vaginal discharge, which was an off topic question that threw me off. I answered honestly, that I had noticed something different, but had no reason to think it contributed at all to my reason for the visit. When given my bill I saw that advent health was trying to charge me nearly ***** dollars, the majority of it tests and lab work. They charged my insurance *****. On the list of tests I was surprised to see std tests. I was never asked by the doctor if I was sexually active or pregnant, nor did the nurse explain the nature of the tests being run. Had I known they were running std tests, I would have immediately declined them, as I was not sexually active at the time. I feel extremely discriminated against that they assumed my sexual activity, that I would have multiple partners and that I would practice unsafe ***. Not only problems with the visit, I also experienced issues with billing when trying to dispute these unnecessary charges. I was lied to by the financial services on a recorded line that my account wouldn't be sent to collections. They reached a conclusion on my dispute case and never felt the need to contact me to update me on it, and now I have to deal with collections for an overcharged and discriminatory bill.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Advent health made absolutely no effort to contact me at all regarding this issue, nor have they contacted me at all this entire time, resulting in my bill getting sent to collections. After I took initiative and spoke to them once more, their patient services informed me that in the er, std and pregnancy tests are standard issue without needing to ask if you are sexually active or any chance you could be pregnant. What???? Every time I go to any doctor's facility it is standard practice that they HAVE to ask that before moving forward with anything. So at Advent I guess they'll ask about recent surgeries or any missing organs but nothing about sexual activity. One size fits all care solution so they can neatly add 2 thousand dollars in overpriced tests to my bill simply because I'm a woman and 25. I wonder if they do routine std testing for men as well or if its just assumed that every woman needs std testing. Gotta build those new million dollar facilities somehow I guess. I feel sufficiently discriminated against, preyed upon and treated unfairly. Never going to an Advent facility again in my life. A complete and total scam and a ******************* on American Healthcare.

      Last Friday, February17, I turned in a sheet with blood pressure and heart rate numbers for one week. I was supposed to be contacted. I have called on the phone 8 times today, and told that my request did not have a request number. Obviously, no one in the office cares about service.A physican's assistant, *********************, asked me to submit this information since I had high blood pressure. No one has contacted me.All I get is that the number I press on their phone is wrong.if this is the best that they can do, their medical practice does not meet ethical standards..
