Vehicle not running properly, take it to be looked at in October 2022 at Bradenton Auto Clinic, told the vehicle needed another engine, charging $8378.10, authorized to do work, days, then weeks, then months go by with several excuses why the vehicle isn't done and then finally in February 2023 they state vehicle is done, I come to pick it up and owner recommends to sale the vehicle, two weeks later the vehicle is having the same issues, decided to take to ********** for a second opinion and several issues related to the engine, charging $4921.84. Bradenton Auto Clinic provided warranty, but the owner stated on the receipt 3-year warranty "only new owner", tried to tell me who I should and shouldn't let drive the vehicle, so we went for a second opinion based on the work that supposedly was already done. Would like to be reimbursed for work not done properly.

We Rebuilt the engine due to the engine being out of time and having damage to the timing components and camshaft, and all of the intake valves being bent. So as far as the bill they sent from the dealer the only thing that is pertinent to this case is the timing cover gasket and the diverter valve leaking, which were both replaced during the repair, and the camshaft position sensor. All 3 of which we would have corrected, had they brought it back to us when they had an issue, as they have a warranty on the work that we did to the engine. The wheel speed sensor, control arm bushings, alignment, brake fluid flush, and transmission service are general maintence on the vehicle and had nothing to do with the work that we did here. Furthermore, all of the parts that would be replaced and cleaned in the ****** mile service, intake cleaning, and coolant flush were all things that we had done while it was here. So they would be completely unecessary.

I am rejecting this response because they even state in their response the majority of the work listed from ********** was what was originally done at their shop.  Bradenton Auto Clinic had the vehicle for 4 months and after two weeks of driving it all the issues they supposably fixed are all issues again.  We shouldn't have to continue to take a vehicle back to the shop and have things redone all the time.  They are not quick turnaround times either; this was four months of us depending on others for transportation. This is not the first go around with our vehicles at this location but will be the last. We should be reimbursed for the work that is stated was done properly, but now we know wasn't.

      Sincerely,

Total engine replacement under guise of quality work only to have car returned in worsen state. I have reached out several times and no adequate response or patch up work to fix ongoing issues caused by their poor service. i.e car overheating a week after new motor placed and grinding noise of axels and whirring noise from engine and as of today have been told to "drive it until something happens and then we can fix it " but the engine only has a two year warranty.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/10/27) */ Good Afternoon Jonathan, I hope this email finds you well. I would like to reopen my complaint, as I went by to speak with the owner about the two other diagnosis i've received by two other mechanic businesses on the faulty work they've done. They obviously got defensive and refused to repair the "new" issue as the other mechanics stated they shouldn't have let me leave with the car making that sound and even worse go as far to tell me "just drive it until something happens then we can fix it" I'm hurt by this being that i spent several thousand dollars with them and they're refusing to make it right. Thanks in advanced Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/11/08) */ In respond to this complaint I offer to my client a second opinion by the dealer that certify if the diagnostic and reparation I made are correct. At this point I will be waiting for my client's authorization to bring the vehicle to the dealer. Thank you very much. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2021/11/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have taken the car to a third professional mechanical opinion where they have found evidence of negligence on behalf of Bradenton Auto Clinic. I now have more extensive work that needs to be done properly by the new mechanic all because they would not own up to their mistakes and correct the initial faulty work. I have been notified that the butchered job they left under my car was not only done wrong but a safety hazard. This is mind boggling being that I was told by Bradenton Auto clinic to 1.Drive until something happens and 2. Just turn the radio up louder or pay them another 3,500 to fix the noise they caused. I do not trust them nor am I comfortable anymore going back there so i am forced to pay more money for a job they should've done correctly the first, second and 20th time they've held onto my car. Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2021/11/14) */ For I care about my customers by principle during 50 years of being a mechanic in this country, and being close to thanksgiving day I have a great and exceptional deal for my customer. I offer to check the car to find out if there is any problem derived from a previous job made when the motor was change. In case that the problem is the transmission I work together with the customer to change the transmission at no labor cost. In this way I expect the vehicle in my shop as soon as possible this week because On this Monday 15 I have a new transmission technical mechanic in my shop. Thank you very much Consumer Response /* (4200, 17, 2021/11/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This sense of caring for the customer is what i needed when I first addressed the problem and pleaded that you help me but instead was met with a defensive and condescending attitude. I have now already have the issue addressed and fixed at a costly price by a more professional and stand up business unlike yourself. They had to undo the work you did not finish not completion and then proceed to do the job properly and at a professional level like you failed to do. The only way to make this right is if i'm reimbursed for the initial labor fees you charged and the new labor fees i've had to pay out of pocket again for the SAME JOB. I've brought this to your attention for months and was brushed off and told to "drive until something happens " that's when you'll fix it. You've had ample amount of time to take a look at my car when you've had for weeks at a time over the course of several months and you mean to tell me no one saw the incomplete work under my hood or cared to even see it but now all of a sudden that their is proof of negligence you want to make it right? You can by reimbursing me. I could no longer turn to you for help after you sent me away with the advice to "just turn the radio up louder", you expected me to feel comfortable driving a car you made unsafe and refused to fix as if i was being unreasonable and i'm glad i didn't believe you and got multiple second opinions that showed you and your staffs negligence, that you actually do not care about your customers well being and what poor quality work you do and then request to be compensated for at professional price. I've never in my life had such a hard time with any mechanic over me expressing concern about my vehicle if i had to because the mechanics i've gone to did the job once and it was done right the first time. I have loss faith in your ability and judgment being that you thought my car was in a good condition to drive the way you left it and it was then brought to my attention that it was not. If I hadn't already gotten the issue fixed i still wouldn't have felt comfortable trusting your work or that if something were to occur again after you've touch my car as it always did that you would willing to help me. Again, I need to be reimbursed for the incomplete labor you've done and for the labor of having to pay someone else to undo your incomplete work.
