      The process for inventory estimates is terrible. There was an initial estimate given of ~$4k in Mar25. During the ** call for the final inventory, there were a couple lamps, bags and a box spring that I added but this somehow increased our cubic feet and total cost by ~50%, or $6.6k. Additionally, Safe Ship did not communicate some move details such as first delivery date with the shipper, which we had to reconfirm. We were given misinformation from Safe Ship regarding items stored in the car for auto transport. Safe Ship told us that we were able to pack items in the car, however, the auto shipper informed us that generally NO items should be packed in the car, which is leading to more additional charges (~$200). Lastly, you guys communicated an auto pick up ETA with me, without properly aligning with the shippers schedule beforehand, leading to a delay with the auto pick up. Safe Ship is just a terrible middle man company here to provide additional charges, friction and frustration in an already stressful situation of long distance moving.

      I am rejecting this response because it is only repeating the same policies over again. Safe Ship customer service is continuously attempting to place blame on the customer instead of having accountability for their bad inventory practices with initial/final estimates, communication with the shippers, and inability to set proper expectations BEFOREHAND. The only acceptable resolution is the requested refund amount of $1500.

      Don't work with Safe Ship Moving EMS (SSM) or CITA VAN LINES, They are liars and overcharge for incompetence and poor service in all respects. The reasons are as follows:1.The original quote to pack our household goods (HHG) and ship them to our new home in ********, ******* was developed with an extremely detailed phone call quote on May 9, 2025. This quote was for a total of $14,402 by ******* ********* of SSM and claimed to be very accurate given the detailed discussion.2.I sent a detailed email to *** describing all the household goods and offered to send photos if it would help SSM confirm any uncertainty in their quote. They did not reply.3.******* ********* made specific commitments about what we were to expect that *** would: 1. Coordinate all aspects of the move.2. Use a very professional and high quality moving company to pack and ship our HHG. They said that ************** was an excellent moving and trucking company and that *** had used them on multiple other moves and things were delivered on time and in the same condition as originally packed.3. Ensure all things will be carefully inventoried and the condition of items assessed and defined by the packers and agreed upon by me.4. Ensure that packing and loading was to be performed in one day and that day was to be June 16, 2025. I expressed concern about a one day packing and load and was told that ************** would send an adequately sized experienced crew with packing materials and a large enough truck.5. Arrange for our HHG to be shipped so that a prompt delivery of June 27, 2025 or shortly afterwards would be met. It was understood that the total transportation time was to be between 5 and 14 business days.6. Have their customer service staff available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to provide any help needed should problems develop. This was described as always available.None of the above commitments were met and the move experience with these 2 comapnies just got worse.

      On 5/18/2025, I contracted Safe Ship Moving Services for a residential move. I submitted detailed info, including video of my belongings. The initial quote was too high, so I considered walking away. The *** then lowered the price, convincing me to proceed. This included packing, loading, and transporting items from ******** to *********What I wasnt told was that they reduced the cubic footage and excluded items to make the new quote seem lower a classic bait-and-switch. Total quote: $5,629.07. Before paying, I asked multiple times if packing was included. I had about 75% packed and needed help with the rest. He assured me it was.Just before the move (scheduled for 6/10/2025), a *** contacted me to "review" the item list again. They then claimed added items, said the price wouldnt cover the move, that packing wasn't included, and the cost would rise by thousands. I was told to sign a new contract, which I refused. I requested a ********* first, a *** apologized and said the situation was ridiculous and hed fix it. He came back with a reduced price but said Id need to pay immediately. I said I no longer trusted them and just wanted to cancel.Despite canceling and no services being performed, they kept my $5,629.07 deposit, calling the charges valid.Resolution Requested:Full refund of $5,629.07 Acknowledgment that the contract was mis***resented and cancellation was due to their own deceptive practices Why Im Reporting:This was a clear bait-and-switch tactic, followed by last-minute price hikes. *** found many similar complaints online. This is an unethical, deceptive business model that must be addressed.

      THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!! RUN AWAY!!!! Safe Ship Moving Services used a filter company called "Move With A Pro" that offered us a low estimate to lure us in and then Safe Ship Moving Services called us only days (called today 7/26/25) before they were scheduled to pack us up (scheduled for 7/29-30/25) and they DOUBLED our estimate requiring us to pay ANOTHER high deposit to secure the move (total of $11,000 for deposit). We were in a bind since it is so close to our move, so my husband initially paid. My sister, who is a lawyer, was able to help us see this as the scam that it is. ****** moving scams and it will check all the boxes. Thankfully, we got out of the second deposit (there is a 3-day cancellation fee for this one)! Moving is stressful enough, so don't add being scammed out of thousands of dollars to your list. We walked away having only lost $5,000.00 and we count ourselves lucky! RUN AWAY!!!!!!

      Safe Ship moving broker has lacked transparency and provided misinformation from the very first phone call and still has not delivered my belongings. It has been a total of 34 days since Cobra Vanlines moving company took my belongings, and 20 days since my first date of available delivery - all coordinated by Safe Ship moving broker. The Safe Ship logistics coordinator scheduled my first available delivery date for Friday, July 4th never acknowledging that the holiday might impact these plans or that it was unlikely the moving company would even operate on that day. I contacted customer service on July 3rd and was assured that delivery would happen on July 4th. Relying on this information, I moved to *******, only to discover that the moving company was not even operating on July 4th and my belongings had never left the ********************************* representatives completely omit the fact that delivery could be delayed up to 30 business days when coercing customers over the phone into booking with them. They hide this fact down in the fine print of a barrage of documents and hold it against you once the movers have your belongings and they've started collecting over $5,000 in moving costs. Safe Ship promotes a stress-free moving experience, but I have unfortunately experienced the opposite. I've spent hours calling customer service because they never call back. On July 10th a Safe Ship representative told me my items would be loaded at the beginning of next week. Another told me delivery was anticipated July *****th. Today is July 24th and my belongings are still not here and no one at Safe Ship or Cobra Vanlines can even tell me where my belongings are. I've never been able to make an informed decision because this company has kept me misinformed the entire time. The lack of accurate information, profound delays, and inconsistent communication is abysmal. I will never use or recommend either of these companies to anyone.

The delivery windowup to 30 business daysis included in the written agreements and Bill of Lading, but we recognize that during the stress of planning a relocation, it may not always receive the attention it deserves.       I used their moving services they put my goods into storage and Have been trying to retrieve it for the last 3 weeks with no delivery date in site. I have contacted the service and carrier multiple times by email and phone with no resolution, I just want confirmation as to when my stuff will be delivered or compensation for items that were shipped.

      Portrayed themselves as a moving company when theyre actually a broker. I was not informed that they were a broker, and they took $6730.70 to book my move. All the while, they pretended that my payments were being applied to my moving expenses. When I confronted them, they begged me not to file a complaint with the *** INTERNET ***************** I agreed to wait until the move was complete. I attempted to contact the company, but the phone number, name, and email addresses were all false. I have disputed the charges on my credit card. I believe this company is operating using deceptive practices. They are not listed in the Chamber of Commerce business directory for ********** or *************, their business addresses. They are not accredited by the BBB. NONE OF THE MONIES I PAID TO THEM WENT TO THE ACTUAL MOVING COMPANY! Id appreciate whatever assistance you could provide.

      I am rejecting this response because: ************* Safe Ship moving, is not Transparent; when I was told $1200 to ship my car with a $500 down payment that wasnt true. They charged me $520 to make the appointment with the car transportation service. The true service cost  was $700. 
      I was charged $200 for bubble wrap that WAS NOT USED!   I was told that having things stretch wrapped would cost extra, which wasnt true. They even said an armchair was a loveseat, why the cost of the move is based on cubic feet a loveseat takes up more space than an armchair, so more lies more money
      My first moving quote was $2700. I actually got rid of furniture and possessions after that and then they charge me another $3700 by then it was June. I had already sold my condo I had to leave I was stuck between a rock and a hard place so I tried to work it out when I learned what they were doing. I confronted them and told them I was gonna report them to the *** Internet fraud department. I was called and begged not to do so, but Due to more deception I have also filed complaints with The Attorney General of Florida, the Florida department for professional regulations, just to mention a few.
      NONE OF THE MONIES PAID TO SAFE SHIP MOVING, WENT TO THE ACTUAL ENCORE MOVING SERVICES THE COMPANY THAT ACTUALLY PERFORMED THE MOVE!

      I had one of the worst experiences imaginable with this moving company. My belongings were mishandled, and my family was disrespected including being called names by the moving crew. It was completely unprofessional and unacceptable.I was charged for storage space I clearly didnt use, and the movers tried to tack on last-minute charges at pickup. I documented everything and left a five-minute voicemail explaining the situation to the companys agent. Since then, Ive made numerous follow-up calls, and no one from management has responded, refunded me, or helped me retrieve my home contents.The lack of accountability and communication is astounding. Once they take your money, its radio silence. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

      2. Im getting phone calls to take down these reviews in order to received my contents!

      3. No one that has called has retrieved my contents and had them delivered to my home.

      4. Apologies are not customer servicethats only part of the customer service.

      5. Holding customers contents hostage for bad reviews or to receive more funds is also NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

      My contents have not been delivered.
      You have made me and my family wait 30 days for our home contentsand that is trusting that they will be here Monday 7/28.

      I have never received a confirmation that your movers are actually delivering my home contents by 7/28theyve had my contents since 7/7. The day their rude verbal abuse was recorded on ***** voicemail.

      Your movers have told me I needed to reverse reviews and close the *** case in order to receive my contents. They have tried to threaten my minor grandson instead they got my oldest son and actual vet. The phone calls stopped after that. Your movers are highway pirates.

      Your company has yet to offer any funds returned to me from this, clearly not as advertised, move. 

      PLEASE RETURN MY HOME CONTENTS.

      To date, this company has stolen $6000 and my home contents.

      I asked them to move me from ***********, ******** to *******, ******* and they told me they would take my TVs off the wall and they will pack my husband's massage chair and everything going Father's Day. They asked for my credit card and everything. Once I call them back they told me they would do all of this for $2,700 afterwards. They said all calls was recorded after I called them back. They said oh. I'm sorry that we said this to you and we're not going to refund you your money. We're not going to do anything about it. That young lady misinformed you. So what? But we're not going to give you your money back. You're still going to pay us and you're still going to do the move. They have been disrespectful ever since they won't give me my money back. I have already paid a little over $1,100 everyone that call manager. No matter who it is they are not nice or they play nice. It has not been a good transition and they always try to make me pay more money. Then they called me and told me all the people that was going to take you before. We need a new Bill of laden signed at the last minute so I don't even know who's picking up my stuff. I've had to sign a new bill of Lane. It's always something. I've had a seizure in between this. I'm afraid my stuff won't be moved to ***************. They have made me scared. I want my money back. I want my stuff to be transferred still. I want them to pay me my money back. I've had to pay too man of the truck to come take my TVs off the wall over $400 and pay them tips they need to pay for the move $2,700 give me my $1,100 and something dollars back and pay for the Cupid square feet and for paying and suffering and everything else.
