I hired this company to help my family, and I move from ****** to ********. I had to delete the entire first half of the story because there is a character allowance, so I will just discuss my primary complaint, which is miscommunication and unfair charging. After mistakes had been made in regards to the date that I would have access to my belongings, and a $600 price increase, at my new house, I waited days and tracked my belongings with an apple AirTag that I had packed. My stuff proceeded to stay in ******** for over a week before leaving cross country. On June 20, I was contacted by the mover to tell me that they would arrive morning of the 21st between eight and noon. I was asked if an 18 wheel truck would be able to fit in front of my house, to which I responded that I wasnt sure. The mover asked if about 5 to 6 vehicles worth of space were available, to which I responded yes, I thought so, but only if the truck is hanging out onto the street. I didnt receive a response to that, so I assumed that it was OK. The next morning, the mover arrives afternoon and tells me that he cant turn down my street because it is small and that we have to pay $500 for him to get another truck and transfer our stuff. I have already paid $2600 for the movers, and dont have the extra $500 to give. Now I am being penalized for moving into a place that just happens to have a small street, which is something out of my control, and I have to move all of my stuff from the moving truck a couple blocks away by myself, without even a dolly, because borrowing a dolly from the truck to use wouldve cost an extra $250. Customers should not have to pay 500+ extra dollars simply because of where they live? If I am paying almost $3000 to accompany to move my belongings from house to house, why did this end up with me having to do all of the manual labor? I want a partial refund because I I paid people to move my belongings into my new house, and in the end, I am the one that moved everythingBusiness Response

Hello,
Please allow us the time to request your paperwork and take a look at your final charges. From the complaint it looks like you were charged for a shuttle service. This is typically done when the semi cargo truck cannot get to the delivery location, so a smaller truck is utilized to shuttle the items until the delivery is complete. Please allow us ***** hours in order to review your paperwork that way. If there are any discrepancies this will be corrected on your behalf with your carrier. Once we receive your paperwork we will give you a call to inform you that we have started the review.
Thank you for your patience.

I am rejecting this response because I was not notified that the size of my street would change the price upon delivery. In addition, I was lied to and taken advantage of because this information was not relayed to me while I was signing the initial contract. Therefore, when I rejected the $500 fee for a shuttle service, *********** put every single one of our belongings in the dirt on the side of the road and made us carry all of it down the block to our house ourselves in 90 degree heat. We want a refund because we had to do all of the labor ourselves, including assembling furniture, bringing it inside the house, and staging it, all of which were included in the initial contract. Our complaint is not because we were charged a service fee, but because we did not receive the service we paid for. I had disclosed to the salesman that I had never used the moving service before, and I feel that he took advantage of that to trick me into signing a contract, assuring me that I was going to pay less money than the other moving option I had already chosen. Ultimately I ended up paying over $600 than expected, and didnt receive half the labor.
Sincerely,

Hello,
Taking a look in to the account it looks like you have been speaking with management in regards to this issue. They have put in a request for compensation we are currently awaiting for it to be reviewed for approval.Thank you for your patience.

Complaint: 21884458
I am rejecting this response because management has contacted us back even when we have called to try and get answers on the situation. We have been told by a manager that we will receive information back about our refund, and have heard nothing back. We called today to check on the status, and the employee who answered was extremely rude to us, and told us that there was no way we would be getting a refund because the account was marked as delivered. She also said that if we had any sort of issue with the delivery, then we would have to try and get our money back from the independent contractor that did the delivery. We said that didnt make sense, because Eagle moving group is the company that has our money, and we are not responsible for knowing or getting in contact with the contractors that they choose to have under their employment. This employee would not let us speak to explain our situation, and continuously cut us off to tell us why we would not get any help or money back. She refused to let us speak to a manager, and when we insisted, she put us on hold and hung up.I dont know why the customer service employee told us that there is no chance that we would be getting a refund, and why this business response is that it is still being processed.
I will keep rejecting this until we receive some money back because the contract we signed and paid thousands of dollars for, said that our items would be delivered to our house, that workers would move our items into our house, and then reassemble the items that were disassembled upon pick up. None of those things happened, and we had to do all of the labor OURSELVES, moving our personal belongings from the dirt from the SIDE OF THE ROAD.
Im just confused as to why there is no understanding or acknowledgement that this situation happened, and why all the employees that have spoken to us have been very mean, and why the company cant refund us some money because of a service that was CLEARLY below par for ANY moving company.
Sincerely.

I reached out to Eagle Moving Group Inc around 05/03/24 and went through the needed move detailing everything in the apartment and that it was a 2bed/2bath. When time came for pickup, suddenly we had "Way more than detailed" and were charged an extra $2000+. We also had little to no communication with the company throughout the move. We were promised a 72 hr heads up on our delivery - we got like 12. We set a time up for 9am, the movers were early before we had time to set up. Overall, the company either egregiously misquoted us on the front or we were taken advantage of by the contracted company on the pickup. Quoted $3817.95 ended up paying $6,695.12.Business Response

I emailed all of my documentation to her and never heard back despite following up on 05/22/24 and 05/25/24 via email, as well as calling multiple times after and even filing a complaint with the contracted company ****************** Services via phone call 06/04/24. Hello,
Taking a look in to your account it looks like you spoke to ****** in regards to reviewing your paperwork on 6/6. She advised that you had about 121 pieces instead of what we have on the estimate which was 61 pieces. This explains why your order occupied 985 CF. I have reviewed your order as well. At this point and time there is no additional discounts we are able to apply to your order to remain good faith. The space reservation was surpassed by 510 CF. I will attached the paperwork there is about 8 pages. The BBB only allows about 5 files to be upload. I will be uploading the reset separately that way you are able to review this as well.
Thank you so much for your patience.

I am rejecting this response because: I was given a predatory quote by this company. I gave a full accounting of the large furniture involved with the move as well as the size of apartment and was told I would be in for under $4000. If everything checks out on the packing side like you suggest, it still doesn't explain why I was so egregiously and misleadingly quoted - that is what I am holding you to task for. That quote was predatory and you were then able to take advantage of me when I had no other options because I had chosen this moving company based on said quote. That is still unscrupulous.Eagle Moving Group also NEVER contacted me back once I was put in contact with this representative. I sent off all of my information and never received a response and was still unable to obtain any explanation with multiple follow up calls.

I hired the company in April, 2024, to move my home sometime in June. I had spoken to a '*****' who was very pleasant, however when I tried to change my moving date, ***** was no longer available. I got mislead by leaving messages at phone numbers Eagle Moves provided and NEVER got a return phone call. Yet, one person did call me back and said the phone number was to an insurance company in **********. I was not able to work with this company and would like my deposit of $834 returned to me. An email dated May 30 claims they will refund ****** but that is not acceptable. I want to hire a company I can count on and who will be available to me like '*****' said he would be but wasn't. Also, I am 62 and disabled.Business Response

Hello,
We have several notations on the account from upper management and accounting on 5/30,5/31,6/07. We advised that you had cancelled out of the cancellation window. We had adjusted your date without a date change fee in order to accommodate as well. Several departments attempted to accommodate your one day window as per your request. At this time if the customer isn't accepting what we are offering to remain good faith we are unsure how to proceed since the customer is not eligible for a full refund.

I am rejecting this response because: I had already filled out a cancellation request on May 30, after trying for WEEKS to speak with someone about changing the date of my move. I couldn't speak to *****, my original contact, and I'm tired of your run around! I would've cancelled sooner if I'd known I could but nobody ever told me! Then, I believe I do remember hearing a woman answer my call on May 31 and YELL at me! Eagle Moves is flat out lying! I would like to submit all the dates I have written and all the various phone numbers they provided me with (one, on May 15, claiming to be an insurance company in **********) that they NEVER responded to and strung me along until it was too late! It's ridiculous! Also, ***** worked out an original moving date with me because I have to move out on a certain day or I'll owe more rent. It was that original date, June 3, that I needed to change. I was told on May 10 was no problem to change and then, I never heard from him again. That was one item that irritated me when I spoke with a ******* (?) ******* who said the movers could be here on one particular day OR the next day! I don't think so. I DO think they strung me along until it was too late to properly request a cancellation.Initial Complaint

These were the most important things that ****** from Eagle Moving originally committed to me that ended up to be blatant lies: All of their employees have a min 3 years experience, theyre professionals. The actual truth is THEY ARE A BROKER. 2 guys from US Safe Moving out of Vegas showed up at my house in a Penske rental truck, they didnt have 3 years experience. They showed up at 2 pm and did not leave my house until 2 am.Both of us looking at the Zillow listing of my fully furnished house online, ****** and I walked through every room on the phone to determine truck load size that would be needed. He quoted me based on that, he said I would pay 1/3 up front as a deposit, 1/3 at time of pick up, 1/3 at time of delivery. The actual truth is at 11 pm, US Safe Moving had 2/3 of my things loaded, said thats how much I paid for. If I wanted the last 1/3 of my things, it would cost an additional $3080.00, which was 60% more than my original quote. My particular move was on one of their main routes so they could do delivery within 3-5 days from pick up.The actual truth is my stuff sat in their warehouse for 2 WEEKS, they delivered it in a Budget Rental Truck. Also, though I made the first 2 payments by credit card, they would not unload the truck unless I paid the remaining balance of $3,180 in cash or money order.I had damaged items. the insurance claim process was scam like handled by a 3rd party with click bait links throughout the email and website. They sent me a settlement letter of $84 for over $500 worth of damage, in which they required that letter be signed and notarized before they would cut the $84 check. No one would take any ownership to help facilitate what was committed to me from the beginning by Eagle Moving Group. ****** wouldnt respond to calls or emails, **************** for both ********************************************* and US Safe Moving were like call centers that gave scripted responses. Pick up date: 3/28/24 Delivery date: 4/12/24 Amount quoted: $5,374.76Business Response

I was given an estimate to have a 3 bedroom 2 bath home packed up to move. When the movers showed up they said they did not pack. Only had 40 medium boxes and said they dont pack them. I had packed up a lot of things already but had not packed the kitchen. They wanted an additional $4000 from me to complete the move. I said I would not pay more than the $5100.00 estimate I was given. They told me I had signed off on it and it was on me. I then told them to cancel it. The gentleman said they will keep your money you paid down and I said I would talk to them but at that point I was not comfortable with what was happening. I filled out the paperwork to cancel and then a lady called me to talk to me about it and she wanted to send someone else and I told her I would just like my money back. Very unprofessional as she hung up on me. At this point I would just like a refund of my ******* that they scammed me out of.Business Response

- Mar 10: Signed a contract with ***** who quoted my move at $4,500 with a dedicated truck and confirmed delivery by 5/2.- I call several weeks later to confirm the move and am told he was fired for improper business practices.- April 22: I am connected with **** in quality assurance to review my quote and am told it will now be $5,500, no dedicated truck, and cannot guarantee 5/2 but can do 5/3. I was told this after I told her I would potentially look elsewhere.- April 27: After fully loaded, the movers indicated we need an additional 450 square feet and will be charged $3,000 more than my original quote - after having done a thorough inventory assessment with Eagle Moving staff TWICE and downsized. There was no opportunity to dispute when they had possession of my items.- May 1: I text **** to confirm my items will be arriving the next day. I get a response to call dispatch. After doing so am told that I have no estimated arrival date and my items are sitting in **********- May 1: Told to call US Ship who they outsource the move to. **** from US Ship says he will reply the next day with an update and never calls back. ****** from Eagle Moving says no managers are reachable by phone, to send emails to info@, and the case will only be reviewed upon completion of the move. - May 10: Items arrive. Nearly every piece of furniture has scratches, several picture frames are broken, and there is packing tape unnecessarily applied to several items with residue remaining. - May 17: ****** says she will review phone records which was never suggested prior - which would support my claims. She would then request financial rectification and reach out on May 20. - May 29: She has been unreachable since the call on May 17 with no management available to discuss my case.I have been deceived and financially taken advantage of every step of the process with the company! Eagle Movers has robbed us of $947.00. The salesman sent me an estimate for moving us to ********. Moving from ********* ** to ***************. Contacted Eagle Moving group in Feb 2024. Was told if I booked at that time I could lock the spring rate as prices were just increased. Was told I would have a full moving truck, plenty of room for my 4 bed room home w garage and 10x10 storage unit. Was told since my own truck they would deliver in 3 days (500 miles driving per day x 3), confirmed with Eagle week before with my count and still on schedule. What I didnt know is they sold our contract to Best Price movers who then up charged us and told us we would not get our items for up to two weeks. We have paid for flights for our help with the move, my husband took vacation to meet the truck only to be told there is no idea when we will have our items delivered. If we did not proceed w the movers we were out our deposit of over 6500. No one from The main office calls us back, we do not know when out belongings will arrive - the only answer was you should have read the fine print vs what the sales rep from Eagle was telling us. When rep was called she cant access paperwork and again told us she doesnt know why we cant get our items I. says as we are full truck going supposed to go directly to *******. We now have no beds, clothing, linens, and hotel charges but to mention wasted flights and no help when the items are to arrive. I am at start a new job and will need to purchase clothing. Neither company is helpful and you are basically forced to sign their paperwork or they wont move your items when they show up and keep your money but the up charge was initially several thousand doslkerd, they did do a partial reduction but still several thousand dollars over the original quote. Also not enough room in the truck so I had to rent a U-Haul to get the rest of the items to *******. This felt like bait and switch, forced signing and I struggle to feel legal. Out several thousand dollars and no idea when my belongs will arrive. There needs bill refund and deliveryBusiness Response

My fianc and I went through the Eagle Moving Company to move. They called and we gave them the information of all the stuff that we were going to have moved, they quoted us $1500 Then upon the movers coming they turn around and say oh well they quoted you something else on my end so you owe us another 3k and 1120 for moving boxes so another grand total of almost 5k from the original total.
