******** ****** at Eagle Moving Group Inc.; ***************************************** ************************************ quoted to move me a price of ******* which included these detailed items: 1 large bakers rack, 1 small bakers rack, 1 Bar, 1 dining chair, 1 drop leaf table, 1 small kitchen table (which was donated prior to the move so is a deduction from what they quoted). 2 piece chest set, 1 bed footboard, 1 bed headboard, 1 Futon, 1 night stand, 13 medium boxes, 10 small boxes, 6 small cabinets, 4 medium plastic bins, 8 barstools (there are actually just 7 4 are metal patio stools and 3 were kitchen bar stools), 2 patio metal rocking chairs, 1 small metal fire pit (that matches rockers), 1 chaise lounge, 1 outdoor ****** (that I chose to leave behind).When the driver of the truck and his helper came in he automatically looked at the rooms and said he could not move me unless I give him another 1600. I told him that the items are listed and he needs to do what they promised. The driver said he wasn't going to do anything unless I gave him more money and paid him in cash! I do not have that kind of cash and told him I didn't have it and that is not the agreement. He left without moving a thing!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I had to pay them in full before they even showed up! The items that were listed were refused by movers when they arrived! Even though everything on the list was exactly what they quoted me, the two guys said they couldnt take any of it unless I gave them another ******* in cash. I told them I paid for all the items listed and they said I paid but they refuse to load any of it unless I paid double the price in cash! They were literally trying to rip me off!

Eagle Moving Group lied frequently in an unethical brokering contract. They contracted to give a minimum of 24 hours before arriving and did not call until just a few hours before arriving giving virtual no notice. They said we could use vacuum bags to pack another lie as Cross County Movers refused to take them. They underestimated the cubic feet by a staggering 200 plus feet an impossibility for a professional company. The final overage was never shown with evidence and has been contradicted by 2 other movers I contacted. They repeatedly refused to return calls. Finally, the bill of lading I signed did not match the one provided by the movers. Throughout the entire process they were unethical and dishonest and remain uncommunicative.Business Response

Taking a look at your order it looks like there was extensive conversations in regards to your pricing and review. You had a 3 way call with your carriers dispatch supervisor as well as one of ours. Also, followed up by another manager call from a separate supervisor. I have attached the paperwork to your order for your review. The additional spacing of 180 CF that was occupied on the day of your move was 100% occupied this was also confirmed by your delivery driver. We have explained that even when removing items our program does not account for the stacking on the truck and that some of your items were slightly larger than on our estimate. We also explained that there can be a 7-10% increase on the day of your move because of such variables. At this point in time there is still no compensation due on your order. What we provide is an estimate, the additional cubic feet occupied was charged at the same rate of $4.20 per cubic foot.

June 6, I received a call from Eagle moving stating driver would not be at my house on 6/7. He had other moves and would be at my house at 8am on the 8th. Driver called stating he would not be there at 8am but he expected 10am. About 12:30pm, I called customer service asking if this was a sca. I had paid a LOT of money and still was not moved. I was told the delay was due to the driver caught traffic and then caught a flat and was waiting on roadside assistance. All I caught was a delayed move. Finally. The driver showed up at my house at 4:45. He came in a Penske van and had no identification showing he was with the moving company. After the lengthy loading process, it was going to be approximately 11:30 or midnight arriving at the new house. Due, to such a late time and expecting unloading and set up to take approximately 3 hours, I opted for a Sunday morning unload. The driver refused to come at 8am on the morning of June 9. He said he was willing to do a 10am unload. Once at the house, they opened the back of the truck. All of my home contents were just thrown into the van. It was disorganized and items were piled on top of each other. sold several items that I did not want to pay to move. The driver told me I would not be refunded the amount of the load I did not use. For example, I sold my 2 person kayak, 2 bed frames and multiple other items. Below are issues encountered at unloading: home is a NEW construction. *Mattresses were not covered with mattress covers. *recliner taken apart and the back was broken. *wooden lamp was broken. *No furniture was assembled. *bed frames were not assembled. *Mattresses were propped against the walls. *Boxes were consistently taken to the wrong rooms *ran ottoman into the corner of a wall. It left a big push in on the wall. *multiple scraped and scuffs on the new walls. *Boxes were placed In rooms all over and not stacked in an orderly way. I have the email thread with Ms. ******** in which I provided numerous photos and videos of everything from the condition of my belongings in disarray in the moving truck to all the damages to my items and my new home.I have made countless emails and phone calls to your company in an effort to resolve this issue. I have received nothing except a run around and no response. I was also made aware that you are able to access Ms. ******** email and have record of all calls.

The transaction ocurred on 08/18/2024 and so far I have payed 2800. I was given an estimate of 3200 and all my items for the truck were written down and put in my contract. At pick up I was charged an extra 2600 and I did not add anything extra. I ended up not loading everything on the truck and I paid 1300 which was still 500 more and I had to leave half my furniture behind. I was promised a refund of $350.00 and that did not happen. Its been 14 days and I still do not have my things. No one returns my calls or emails. after three days of calling I received a call today that they should be loading the truck today . They are still 2000 miles away and have not loaded the truck yet. No one can tell me when they are laeaving or when i can expect delivery of my furniture.Customer Answer

Also, upon pickup I was charged another ******. This was after waiting three weeks to get all of my things. I was also told I would get two days notice before delivering my things. We spoke with ******** to get an estimate for our move. We went through every piece of furniture in our home and she added on 150 boxes (we only had 102). She gave us our estimate, she started at least 6 times that we had a whole truck and our bill would NOT be higher. Quality control even caked and we had nothing else to add. When the movers came they said they had to bring a larger truck as the one she had estimated was not large enough. They ended up charging us all most ******** more. We went through a broker known as Eagle Moving Group Inc. We decided to go with this mover due to the low price we were given for the move and the politeness of the operator on the phone. The move went smoothly when they came to pick up our furniture and we were happily on the road. However once we got to our destination there were multiple issues that arrived. The movers that Eagle Moving Group Inc had contracted were late from the date I had requested the drop off to be by nearly 2 weeks. The mover that was contracted by Eagle Moving Group Inc showed up alone without any support and moved our boxes into the house. He was suppose to have another mover to help, but this other mover never showed. The movers that Eagle Moving Group Inc had contracted lost 3 boxes of very valuable books that we had sent a claim for. We provided pictures and a list of the books that were lost. The claim was then sent back to us with a "reward" of 0.60 per pound at 100 pounds ($60). This was far from the actual value of the books. We did not want monetary reparations, we simply wanted them to find our missing boxes. When we informed the company of the missing boxes the movers proceeded to lie and told us they packed these 3 heavy small boxes in another medium box. We had already fully unpacked and 1. could not find these boxes and 2. they could not fit inside a medium sized box like they had stated. We gave the movers time to find the boxes but were treated poorly and told that we should make a claim because they could not find out missing boxes.Business Response

Hired eagle moving group July 2024 for a pick up that was supposed to be Aug 14th or 15th. Come the 15th got the run around on a time for pick up. We had flights at 7 pm to *******. We were told why book flights on move date.because eagle said they would be there between 10 am and 1pm. Did not have to be at the airport until 6 pm. Times kept changing. Eagle said.get someone to sit with the stuff. We did. Movers show up at 7.30 pm were there until almost 11pm. Movers could not speak English. Was trying to say we had more than we told. No we did not. We cut the move from whole bd set to 2 chest of drawers. 4 tvs to 1. Two electric fireplaces to 1 and so on. Said we had to sign or they could not pick up. We paid for 400 cubic feet. They said they would stop at 400 and if we wanted to pay more. We could said they would tell us when we reached 400 cf. They never said a word. All of this was translated from their ******* to me over the phone. Alliant van lines has the move at this point because eagle move are brokers not movers. And will sell the job to the lowest bid. I said to man on the phone. So the contract I signed with eagle is sh he said..basically..yes. delivery to us was supposed to be Aug 22nd. Was told that was the earliest date. OK. Aug 22nd came. No delivery. ******* says. Why did u say that's the earliest you could be there for delivery. I say..NO I was told that was the earliest for delivery to me.he said. I don't believe that's true. Anyway was told it would be here today Aug 29 between 3 and 6 pm. Nope..not today no delivery. Now I'm being told tomorrow Aug 30th at 9 am !! Let's see how tomorrow goes.Who istarted off with at eagle was. *** ******. assured me we were going to be fine. But after first 1000 $ I'm sent straight to voicemail. I have tried speaking with management ***** ******. I'm told he doesn't get on the phone. I have a list of names but nobody in management talks to anyone. I am rejecting this response because: the business eagle moving. Saud they would respond within 24 to 72 hours. That was on September 11th 2024.Today is , September 17th.still nothing from eagle moving group.
Just like with everything. They put you off. I jad 10 days to except or reject. After 8 days. I have nothing to reject. But them not responding is typically what I have gotten from them. Maybe they were hoping I wouldn't respond within the 10 day time limit. Who knows. All I know is.
DO NOT USE EAGLE MOVING GROUP LLC
And they sent one person with the delivery. Could notvspeak English. My husband halprd unload everything we had. And still had to pay an extra 400 dollars from original quote.

This is the most horrible moving company I have ever experienced in my entire life. My parents are over 80 years old and they asked Eagle for the move from ** to NC on 8/27/24 for which was quoted $5500 and $6000 was paid. They promise you the world, they offer a lower quote than the competitors - but when it comes to the actual move the movers will charge you thousands more than the original estimate to do the same exact move you had talked about. We told them it was a 3 bedroom and they slipped in the contract for 1000 cubic square feet. By the time you get the true estimate from the local mover, it is too late to get your deposit back and you are out a few thousand if you want to change to a legitimate *******************************! They should be ASHAMED of themselves. The movers wound up leaving behind the dining table and chairs, kitchen table and chairs, patio set, bookshelves, dining cabinet, dining buffet, 2 flat screen TVs - even though they had room on the truck! I saw the truck when it unloaded and it was 1/4 empty. I had personally packed suitcases which were left behind. My parents are 80 years old and they were left moving chairs and other things. My mom was so saddened, and it broke my heart to see her so sad to be taken advantage of by such a company. And that was all with paying an extra $500 than the contract.Business Response

Incredibly rude, argumentative, will not supply appropriate information and for 3 months has full payment and all of our things 2 months past the agreement. My wife has diabetes has run out of meds. Her birth certificate is in that cargo and CAN NOT get ANY medical insurance without it . And they have been informed of this. I was quoted at apx $6000 for moving. We did multiple item inventories for this move. On the day of the move they arrived 2 hours late. Brought a truck that wasn't the agreed upon to small. Then told me they were adjusting my bill to *****. Because the house was sold already and moving had to happen that day. I was unable to cancel this appointment and find new movers in the short timespan. They couldn't finish the job on the agree time and took an extra day.
