AVOID. I entered a contract in May 2023. for a move in July. I canceled in June. Have reached out several times for refund of deposit except for 5% per contract I was told the company was sold and new owners not responsible. I was given a phone number in Maryland. But calls go to a voice message telling me the mailbox is full Am trying to find a lawyer in West Palm Beach Fl

Terrible service. Still have missing belongings that never got delivered. They jacked up the price on delivery also by a lot. Still trying to get a hold of somebody.

Please BEWARE this company. They will up the charges at the last minute (by double, in my case) and damage your belongings.First, my things were dumped haphazardly into the boxes. Nothing was organized, small things were mixed in with larger things, and unpacking was a nightmare. Some things were damaged, including two lamps, makeup, a souvenir from *****, a dresser, a popcorn maker, and a tv stand.Second, many things were left behind. These items include three storage shelving units, a medal, some dcor, a power cable, my shower caddy, my stepstool, my curtain rod holders, a bunch of my pans, my crockpot, my cooking utensils, my silverware, all my bathroom cabinet items, and the items under my kitchen sink. Finally, only two guys were sent to do the unloading. One of them was ready at the outset with excuses not to finish the job. He proclaimed upon arrival that he was tired and hadnt eaten all day. Some boxes were moved to the appropriate rooms, but most were left in the living room on the main level. I had to move the boxes myself to the appropriate levels and rooms and needed to ask my brother and nephews for help. Additionally, nothing that had been dissembled was reassembled, as had been promised. On the day of the move, in order to stay within the cubic feet, I had to ditch my couch, my porch swing, and a bench. As a single mother, this left me in quite a bind trying to figure out how to dispose of these items. This all happened after my initial estimate of about $7k was increased to nearly $13k after doing a more complete inventory with about a week left before the move. We found the price to be even more on the day of the move, and then even more on the day of the drop off. This practice of upping the charges when were already at this point of commitment is borderline coercive.

They lost 1/2 our belongings and said we had 90 days to send a list of what was missing. Their insurance company, CSI, said because it wasn't listed on the delivery papers they cannot pay us. We called several times to Acme and the moving company they hired to collect our things - didn't make a difference. Over $10,000 in losses and they will only pay $400. We paid extra for a full truck (less than a 1/2 full truck arrived) and bubble wrapping all glass and antiques. Nothing was bobble wrapped and the compensation doesn't even touch the value of the antiques destroyed. When you pay over $15000 for someone to take care of your belongings and they don't, you should not have to fight so hard for compensation. It's just a scheme for them to make money . I would recommend staying far away from this company.

Acme Relocation lied to me about the services and insurance associated with the move. They then hired that was terrible from start to finish to handle the move. Here is what happened. Acme grossly underestimated the cost of the move in order to get my deposit. First, they promised to pick up our house on June 26, 2023. They called us on June 26 to say that it would be a pickup on June 27th. Then we got a call in the afternoon of the 27th that the pick up would be first thing in the morning. Then we got a call that it would be at 11am on the 28th. They finally finished loading the van at 6:30. This cost us two days of lodging as we got rid of our bed on the morning of the 26th based on their communications. Next, they had only one packer that was careful with the items. The rest were throwing items randomly into boxes. They did not organize the move so there was no way to know whether items were included or not. We only recently finished going through every box to determine what was missing or damaged. Many moving containers and boxes were damaged in the move because they transferred the boxes from the truck that picked up the moving items to an 18 wheeler to move across the country. When doing so, they turn over half of the boxes upside down often placing the lightest items on the bottom, which damage many of our containers and many of the boxes and contents inside. All but one of our lamps were damaged because there was no care in packing or transporting them. They kept sending us additional charges for additional space they said they needed. I disputed the measurements on the truck, which were pretty easy to measure based on the cubic feet. However, they held my items “hostage” and would not unload the items until I paid in full. In sum, many items were broken. Most due to negligence. A few items never made it to my house. At the end, I was told insurance covered nothing.

Scam. Next part of sad scenerio saga of a partial load, unfinished move. Do not use this service. Acme hires driver and Acme does not want to be responsible. The carriers seem not to be reliable. Prerelease guys hired at location and guys stole homeowners personal checks. These checks were written on illegally this month in multiple checks. Do not trust this company in *******.

Do not use this Company. 1. They will not tell you what day your movers will show up in a 3 day window until the day before, makes scheduling hotels/flights/etc. extremely challenging 2. They will find ways to charge you for items that they say on the phone they will not (i received an elevator use fee.... like what?)3. All the reviews about the price going up when they show up are true. The person on the phone will say they over estimated your space if anything and if its not true call them and they'll figure it out blah blah blah. A. you will never be able to speak to the person who you talk to on the first call again and b. there square footage estimate is way under, i ended up being charged almost double what i was quoted when all was said and done. 4. They are just a facilitator, the actual mover will be someone else and you will not be given a number to get in contact with them 5. My movers kept trying to show up early even after i told them i was not prepared, many of the boxes were split, a few boxes which were marked clearly fragile were the most poorly handled of any of the boxes and everything inside was broken, because boxes were split some items fell our and were lost.6. There customer service people are flat out rude and do not help you, they do not care what situation you are in, what was quoted, or anything. I was hung up on more than once 7. They say you are insured up tp 10K by default, what this actually means is 60 cents/pound insurance which is garbage and will not begin to cover the cost of items you lose. Overall please please please do not fall for what the person who quotes you sends you, they are not a good company and should not be used
