Was referred by 2 Movers out of ********, ******. Was not told that Beacon Moving & Logistics was a broker by 2 Movers out of ******** or Beacon Moving & Logistics out **********, ********Very unprofessional. Sales **** ****** miss quoted and did not follow through as promised on communication or pick up dates; called me at 5:00 am to review my final inventory list. On January 16, 2025 I called Beacon Moving & Logistics to obtain a quote for moving my furniture long distance. The representative asked me what items I needed movingI told him the items I could think of. Then he asked me what my budget was, I told him. After all the calculations he did, he gave me the total moving estimate cost of $2,854.38. I was also told I need to pay $1,463.59 up front, then and there because he cannot guarantee the deal at a later time. I signed the agreement for Beacon Movin It was on February 6, ************************************************************************** to say they were coming. I reviewed all my paperwork again, but this time I realized that my agreement items were changed it now listed that I was moving 34 pieces of furniture with 17 listed items and specific furniture items were totally deleted from the list, even an incorrect item was added that was not even on my original list. in other words, it showed in this new agreement that I am required to pay the same amount for less furniture items. I was truly shocked, upset and disappointed. This was the second heart-breaking experience within two weeks dealing with Beacon Moving & Logistics that I broke down in tears realizing unauthorized and misleading changes done without my knowledge or consent to my original agreement. Beacon Moving & Logistics acknowledged that someone on their staff manipulated the document but they still refused my request to cancel and a refund. In other words, they want me to still pay for their manipulation of an agreement that one of their staff members did without my knowledge or consent. I do not wish to receive a service from a company that makes changes to documents without my consent. My cancellation is based on the fact that my agreement items were changed without my knowledge and without my consent. I am requesting my full refund. On January 10, 2025, we were working with ******************* and received a quote. On January 13, 2025, my wife went to call regarding the inventory with ****** and went online and accidentally called Beacons Movers. After exchanging information regarding the move with ******, the salesman on the phone with my wife sent over a contract and she signed it, unknowingly its was for Beacons not Bekins. This salesman used his tactics, and my 65-year-old wife accidentally signed with Beacons. On January 14 I was looking over the contract and found several discrepancies. I've attached the correspondence with ****** and come to realize this was a totally different Company. My wife called Beacons to explain the error, and Beacons would not refund the money wife called me in tears and I immediately called Beacons the next morning. let's say the call was less than stellar and the gentleman said I would get a refund less 15% in 10 days. No more than 30 minutes later a female called from Beacons asking if I want insurance for my move. I explained the situation and she immediately transferred me to another number. That would be the last time I heard from Beacons. Following the requirement for a refund I submitted the refund request within 72 hours to the address on their contract. It has now been 11 days and not a single response from the 4 to 5 emails I have sent them. I tried calling a couple numbers found at the bottom of their website and one number just rings while the other number is a disconnected number.Customer Answer

A letter from my medical doctor explaining what Beacon Moving & Logistics has done to my current medical condition. I have been unable to perform my normal duties nor able to sleep since January 13, 2025, due to a huge move set for the end of February 2025. This company took us for over $7,000.00 which left us wondering how we are going to make ends meet when we arrive in *****. This was supposed to cover a huge portion of or move and now left us with having to cancel Bekins Movers, which the original agreement was made and had to rent moving containers and pack them ourselves in the condition we are in. It's not just me, but my wife who suffers from a heart condition further worsened by this event, an autistic daughter, my mother who is moving with us and suffers from Dementia, and my father who is almost 90 years old and has diabetes and trouble moving around. To this day we are still trying to perform our daily duties and prepare for this move from ********** to ***** which we never had to perform in our life. Beacons took advantage of us and now has disappeared without a trace with our money. I am desperate for this money and don't know what else to do with the little amount of time we have left before the move. I am afraid that an attorney will take more than half of the money and the time may run into our move time. It took Beacon under 5 minutes to get our money, yet it has now been 15 days and nothing from them. Please help. God bless.Customer Answer

I contracted with Beacon on 11/29/24 to move items from *********, **, to *********, **. They upcharged me twice during the process after stating the price I was quoted over the phone was final (on two different occasions). They had Moving Logistics out of Commerce, **, move my items. There has been no communication. Most of my items arrived early, but there were three items missing. I reported the missing items, and the company stated they were in a warehouse in ********. I call every week to find out when they will send my items to me, and to my knowledge, they are still in ********. I've paid the company in full,l and now, when I call today (1/10/25) I can't reach either company and still have no idea where my items are or when they will arrive even though the contract states, "they have up to 30 business weekdays" to get my items to me. I need help reaching someone and getting them to send me my items. The items that are missing are family heirlooms that are irreplaceable and I cannot file an insurance claim for the damaged items until I know the status of these items. I filed an online quote form with Two Movers for a military PCS. Within minutes they Beacon Moving & Logistics sent me 5 different emails and called me 3 times in a row after I sent them to voicemail twice and they never left a message. I then answered the 3rd call, told them to stop calling me, and hung up. He then proceeded to call me, ask me what my problem was, and told me if I am not going to answer his calls then dont fill out a f****** form you loser and proceeded to hang up. All I wanted was a quote but did not have time to speak on the phone at that time. Calling and emailing multiple times in a few minutes and using vulgar language like he did was totally unacceptable and unprofessional. He called from **************Initial Complaint

Moving company. Move from ****** **** to *****************. Set this up thru Beacon Moving and Logistics. Was promised one price and told the amount of items I had moving would fit with no problem. Was supposed to cost $1,793.75. Ended up costing $4,957.17. Then Beacon said they would give me a break of $300.00 for all the trouble. However Sala Moving and *********** would not give us our furniture unless we paid the whole cost. Also they told me 10 days and it took 24 days when it was only supposed to be 6 - 10 days. Beacon said I have to get a refund from Sala. Sala says the driver would have to call me and give me the refund. However I do not believe I will hear from them. So disappointed in Beacon. Didnt realize they were a broker dealer and just set up the move. I could have done a u-haul for around ********. Cost me $3,163.40 more than the original quote I signed. I was scammed by Beacon and Sala Moving. I paid Beacon ****** and I paid Sala ******** I have been working with ***** and ******* thru Beacon. I have called and emailed them several times with no success. . The person who answers the phone with Sala always says they have to talk with the driver. I have called them at least 8 times n maybe more. I am retired and living on a fixed ********* Sala ******************************** refuses to refund any funds. On 7/12/2025, I talked with a customer service **** *******, about a full service move including boxes, packing, furniture, moving across state lines from ******** to ********, unpacking, and reassembling furniture at new residence. I signed a contract unaware of specific details needing to be in contract to get the full-service move that was verbally agreed upon. Upon discovering the discrepancies, I asked to speak with a supervisor or superior to which ******, another employee of Beacon Moving and Logistics, responded that he doesnt have one (not true). Upon speaking with another customer service **** *******, I was told that *******, the initial customer service **** was no longer with the business and that all his phone recordings were deleted so they could not corroborate what he had told me and the missing info on the contract. I asked for a refund which was denied. Upon investigation, I was additionally over-charged for my down payment. Per the contract, I was only supposed to be charged UP TO 30% of the total. The total was $5563.85 and my payment charge was $ *******, coming to $3006.09 with credit card fees after they denied my bank account information for a direct payment. I contacted their support team on 8/21/2024 and did not receive a response back. After calling the company today, 8/26/2024, I was told that the agreed upon move date of 9/7/2024 may or MAY NOT be possible. We called to inquire about an upcoming move several states away. When I was asked to place a deposit, I advised my house was not at final closing, they advised I could cancel, they are here to move me not steal my money. Our house was not able to close, I reached out concerning canceling the move, they advised I had a 72 hr window, that was not told to me. 3 weeks passed we are able to move and they told me additional fee due to the date and not 7 business days, I asked for my deposit to be refunded. I am moving and just wanted a quote for a move. They gave me a quote and pressured me to book that day. They took a deposit from me. I wanted to cancel and get a refund. I never heard back from them to confirm anything, if my move was canceled or getting refunded. I called and emailed numerous times with no replies. Finally got in touch with someone, they said my move is canceled and they will not refund my $1500. Also if I want to reinstate the move now I have to pay $300 to reinstate it..I feel like they are totally taking advantage of me and taking my money.
