2 starsThis was our first time sailing with Margaritaville considering we usually sail with Carnival. It's not friendly to children, as advertised, so are under the age of 5. We were asked to pick our 3 year old up from the child day care area after he'd been there for about an hour. The gentleman who was there at drop off was no longer there and 3 women were so only wanted the kids to sit down and/or do only arts and crafts. There were even a couple of children complaining about sea sickness when we picked up our son. Possibly due to sitting in one spot on the floor on a rocking ship. I emailed the complaint as instructed and even shared how our son was crying when we picked him up due to being made to sit in a chair while the other children played. Then, he was afraid to return. He just turned 3 a couple of weeks before sailing and was the youngest in the daycare area. I wanted to know what happened to him since he was afraid to return. I was told by their customer service email someone would look into it and contact me further. After a week, there was no contact, so when I reached out again, they blocked me. We weren't asking for any money back at all. Only that we know what took place in that room with our son. Because they blocked us, it's safe to assume as we thought, but one of their employees handled our son very forcefully.Review fromCandice J

1 starthe worst experience, i book a cruise for my parents anniversary and I added on extra things to make their anniversary special. They havent gone on a trip an of yet and they not honoring prices. I spoke to a representative last week She told me to screenshot it and send it to her email to honor the prices never got the price honored and no response from her, still had pay full pocket for-eliminate drinks an anniversary cake , and a bottle of champagne and Jdw steaks house dinner. they didnt honored the price of what I seen it for I told them that I will never ever book with them ever again. This is the worst experience ever. The total price came up $247.00 more all I ask for to pay $180.00 they couldnt do that false advertising then the representative that I spoke to said that the gratitude-was included in the price!! I want my money back and I am highly upset because I want my parents to have amazing time for their anniversary and by me just booking this for them was a stressful experienceReview fromKatie L

2 starsWe recently took a Margaritaville Cruise that we got on **** deals. It sounded so wonderful. Only pay taxes and port fees! We booked and prepaid everything so we could budget this trip. We even double checked multiple times to be sure everything was paid and ready to go. On the last day of the cruise we checked out statement balance and there were 4 extra charges- 2 per person. One was a "Service Charge" for $60 each. And one was a "Fuel Surcharge" for $45 a piece. We didn't budget for this and were very disappointed at the hidden, tiny print surcharges we were required to pay for. I understand fuel is expensive, but just charge the amount up front. Why, when law enforcement and military gets paid so little and sacrifice so much, is Margaritaville tacking on extra charges in such a sneaky way. Please know this company is not being upfront about their charges.Review frombrian g

1 starPoor customer service! BEWARE OF THE HIDDEN MANDATORY GRATITUTY FEES! DO NOT USE THIS CRUISE SHIP! After arrival to a port on November 22, 2024, I learned many of the event activities were canceled due to the “red flag” weather conditions. I was given the option of still going to the event I booked, or to get a refund. I opted for a refund. Customer service Clinton told me to “lower your voice” while waving his hand in an up and down motion. I replied in a calm manner, I am not yelling. However, Clinton continued to attack me with accusations that I was talking too loudly. As the conversation went on, Clinton told me there is no refunds. I explained I am not paying $89.00 to swim in a pool and eat food. I can do that on the cruise ship. Clinton became more combative making claims that I was too loud and yelling. I explained to Clinton I am a customer. But Clinton replied, “and I am a human being” and claiming he is not going to refund my money. Again, I repeated myself that I am a customer and your treatment towards me is not right. The conversation continued only becoming more combative and every time I told Clinton I am a customer, Clinton only replied with “and I am a human being” while pointing his finger towards his chest. At this point I was very frustrated with Clinton as he was not listening to me and showed no care or concern for the issue that I addressed with him in regards of a refund. I told Clinton I am not yelling. I talk loudly because I have a hearing problem and I have a medical condition. Clinton quickly leaned over just a few inches from my face and with a pinched stern look on his face, stated in an aggressive tone of voice, “well I got a medical problem too! What’s that got to do with anything!” I explained to Clinton, again, I am a customer and my money pays your wages. So i returned to the cruise ship to explain the situation and got a refund. i sent letter to the CEO 3 times asking for an apology and never received a reply.Review fromNancy C

Margaritaville at Sea are deceiving. My husband and I are newlyweds, I booked a 7 day vacation for our honeymoon to Jamaica and Mexico on February of 2024. I have called numerous times, hung up on and even spoke to a supervisor; she claims I have a reservation for the Bahamas and to this day Margaritaville at Sea is still NOT helping and refuses to give us our REFUND of $1198. I am a veteran, I served this country to be disrespected by Margaritaville at Sea, all we want is our honeymoon to Jamaica and Mexico or a FULL REFUND.Review fromKenneth B

1 starOur first reservation was canceled due to Hurricane ******, so we went to reschedule for our 10 year anniversary and upgraded to an additional night cruise over the weekend on the date of our actual anniversary. First we spoke to ******* only to findout that the agreed upon reservations that we paid the difference for was confirmed for a different date back down to 2 nights instead of 3. On our second call a woman answered and I explained that we wanted to switch the accidental change to the correct one and after being put on hold she told me that due to the storm it could not be changed. When I called the third time the representative I spoke to told me he could move me back over to the the trip I requested but I would have to pay a $297 difference even though I was one on the payment page showing the full total for the same trip that my mistake confirmation than covered, so I asked to just cancel the reservation and use the full amount as credit and Ill pay for the cheaper price of the cruise myself. The representative told me he would send a confirmation with the cancellation of my trip and my credit to my account but I never received an email after a few hours. My wife called and spoke to ******* again to confirm that our credit was applied to our account only to be told that since our reservation was adjusted twice already that we would have to wait to have it reflected in our account. When my wife asked when would the system turn over to the next day so we could have the credit ******* mumbled something and left the phone. Weve been sitting with the phone on speaker waiting for his return for over an hour and a half. This company is shameful, how they operated this long is beyond me. This is the worst customer service Ive ever experienced by far.Review fromPeter C

1 starTried to receive a refund after the *** filed their surprise inspection of the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise and failed the ship. Lost $1557 as we didnt want to sail with a cruise company that puts profit ahead of safety. The *** report is available on their website. Lots of complaints about this company.Review fromRichard N

1 starI booked a cruise for this summer and had to cancel due to a medical issue. The representative stated that I would receive a refund within 7-10 business days and have still not received it 3 weeks later. We have repeatedly called to check on the refund of $1500 and they say a supervisor will be in touch with us. The first time I called about not receiving the refund, they stated that it was noted that we would be rescheduling for a different time, which was not what we had decided or agreed upon. We cancelled and expected our refund. The last 4 times we have called, the representatives state that their supervisors will be in touch with us by the end of that day regarding the refund. The supervisors have never called us back. Today, the representative transferred me to the supervisors extension which then said it was not in service and hung up on me. We just want to receive our refund. The customer service with this company has been atrocious and I will never book a cruise with them again in the future.Review fromAnnmarie B

1 starI have called 4 times to Margaritaville At Sea, regarding a refund that I was told would be issued months ago. On my way to the Port of the Palm Beach, I was involved in an accident and was unable to make it timely, on the scheduled time for departure. When I called the company, I was advised that I will get partial refund of what I had paid within 2 weeks. As yet, there has been no refund. I called a second time, and was told that there was a problem with processing this refund, and that it will be expedited to be reissued back to my debit card within a week, waited 3 weeks no refund. I called back again to be told that instead they will mail me a check, as they were unable to determine why this refund was not processed. I verified my home address, and waited 5 weeks for this refund, still no refund. I called again today 04/4/24 spoke to someone named **** in customer service, he advised that he did not see a record of the refund. I asked to speak to a supervisor, no one was available. Apparently, there are no supervisors working in that office, they have to put in a request for someone to call me back within ***** hours. It is unacceptable that a business as large as a cruise ship, is operating in this manner. It is beyond frustrating. According to this ****, there is no confirmation number that they can provide as a record of this call, nor can the name or number of this supposed supervisor can be verified. At this point, I feel that I am going around in circle with this company. I will not recommend this cruise line to anyone. Very disappointing.
