BBB reports on known government actions involving business marketplace conduct. The following describes a government action that has been resolved by either a settlement or a decision by a court or administrative agency. If the matter is being appealed, it will be noted below.
On October 22, 2024 the business entered into a Consent Order with The Commissioner of Financial Protection and Innovation ( Commissioner) of the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation of the State of California. The Consent Order allegations that the business filed for an application for debt collection on February 7, 2024, and on February 27, 2024 the business contacted at least one California resident ( consumer) in an attempt to collect an alleged debt. As of October 1, 2024 the businesses application was still pending and the Commissioner had not issued a debt collection license to the business. Under the terms of the Consent Order the business agreed to pay a $2,500.00 administrative penalty to the Commissioner. The Consent Order was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finfing of violation of the law.
