I am filing a complaint regarding a recurring charge of $49.99 on June 15 2025 from a company named EpicVIN, which I canceled on the same day I was charged. I contacted the merchant directly and requested a refund, but they refused.I then filed a dispute with **************** twice within the past month. In both cases, I explained that the charge was unauthorized, the subscription was canceled the same day, and I provided supporting documents, including screenshots and emails.Despite this, **************** denied my disputes without proper notification. In fact, I never received any resolution message in my online account or via secure messages. I only received one letter in the mail several weeks later, and even that letter was vague and did not clearly state the result of the dispute. This lack of timely notification is against ***** own dispute resolution policies and left me without the ability to respond.I reopened the case through a live agent, who confirmed that my address was correct and that no online notification was sent. However, my reopened dispute was again denied.I am not seeking to punish anyone I simply want my money refunded. I have done everything in good faith and provided all necessary documents. I am rejecting this response because:the company still has my money, and I never received the service. They now admit they can issue a refund, but only if I cancel the dispute. However, the dispute is already closed, and the charge was reinstated without any resolution message from the bank. This leaves me with no refund and no way to get one unless the company processes it directly.
I believe this is unfair and unacceptable. The company had more than enough time to resolve this earlier.

I am rejecting this response because:I am rejecting this response because the business is misrepresenting the current situation.
My dispute with the bank has already been closed, and the funds were returned to EpicVIN without my consent or proper notification. I also provided BBB with supporting documentation, including the most recent letter from my bank clearly stating that the dispute was denied.
There are absolutely no active or pending disputes with the bank at this time. I have gone through the process twice already, and both disputes were closed in favor of EpicVIN. Therefore, EpicVINs claim that the matter must be resolved through the bank is not true.
I am requesting a full refund of $49.99 directly from EpicVIN or a fair resolution to this complaint. If necessary, I am prepared to escalate this case to additional regulatory agencies.

Date of Transaction:June 25, 2025 I paid $1 for a one-time vehicle history report on EpicVIN. On July 19, 2025, I was unexpectedly charged $99.99 to my card ending in 1812 (Order #*******).Nature of the Dispute:I only used the platform once for a single report and did not knowingly agree to a recurring subscription. I was unaware of any future charges, and EpicVIN did not notify me before billing me almost a month later. Their own terms state that charges would apply after 3 days, not 24 days later.What the Business Committed to Provide:They advertised a $1 trial for vehicle history reports. I believed it was a one-time lookup, which is the only service I used. I was not informed clearly about a transition into a $99.99 subscription.Resolution Attempts:I contacted customer support to request a refund. I explained that English is not my first language and I may have misunderstood the terms, but I had no intent to subscribe. They denied my refund and only offered a $99.99 credit, which I cannot use and do not want. I also asked for proof that I agreed to a subscription or used the service again they have not provided any.Request:I am asking for a full refund of $99.99. Complaint against EpicVIN Unauthorized Charge of $99.99 To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to file a formal complaint against the company EpicVIN regarding an unauthorized charge to my bank account in the amount of $99.99 USD.On 23.03.2025, I signed up for what was presented as a free trial (1$) of EpicVINs vehicle history report service. Nowhere on the main subscription page was it clearly indicated that this free trial would convert into a $99.99 paid subscription after just one day. There was only a very small note buried in the fine print which I did not notice and which I believe was intentionally made ********** soon as I noticed the $99.99 charge on my bank statement, I immediately contacted EpicVIN's customer service to request a refund. Unfortunately, they denied my request, claiming that the charge was valid due to the terms of the free trial.I believe this practice is deceptive and misleading, especially considering how brief the trial period was and how hidden the pricing information was from the user. On March 13, 2025, I signed up for a $1 trial report on **************************. Was supposed to get a 5 day trial for 1 USD, got charged $99 USD at the 4 day **** with no notice whatsoever. When I tried to reach support, not even 5 minutes after the charge, was denied a refund all together and only offered credit for a service that - as I explained - did not fulfil the basic expectations I entered the agreement with.The service was supposed to provide pictures with their reports, which it did not deliver whatsoever, which prompted me to use and pay for a different service. Their advertisement is sketchy and unfair. The only reason I used this service vs others was pictures, which according to their "pre-report" they had, but didn't show when I paid the service. Ended up having to look for them ***************** was unhelpful, and due to their "written" hidden policies, ****** denied my requests (Even though I can confirm their 5 day claim is fake seeing the membership in ******).The account was de-activated as soon as they started the "Claim" process and is still currently de-activated even after they supposedly won.
