01/02/2023 We did remove the pans in preparation for installing the new metal pans.

01/03/2023 Went to pick up the pan's and upon inspection saw they had damage from shipping. We declined these materials and had to request new pans. This was very frustrating as we were hoping to have the carport pan roof completed this day.
The *******, then went to the property in person to explain the situation with the materials to the homeowner.
Job Note: "stop by the property and spoke to the homeowner and let him know the pans were damaged he is expecting an update as soon as we know about the pans". **GPS has the truck on site at the property for 11 minutes**

01/04/2023: Office called the material company for an estimated time frame and were told the earliest we can expect to receive them is 01/09/2023 and to call back on that day.

CALL LOG: CALL TO HO: "HO was super, super nice. I told him I would follow up with the material company on Monday and continue to keep him informed. He was appreciative and said he looks forward to hearing an update of any kind on Monday. He said he definitely understands!"

(This work was never rescheduled for the 4th, 9th, or 10th because we did not have materials to do so.)

01/09/2023: Called to enquire about the pans and were told they had not came in to check back in the morning.

01/10/2023: At 9:25am we had a Missed Call, then at 9:27am had another missed call.
Before returning these calls we first called the supply company to check again on these pans and they could not provide us with an update.
At 9:43am- called spoke to ************** who reported damage due to dew, a service tech was immediately scheduled to go to the property and install a temporary cover on the carport he arrived this same day at approximately 2:30pm and covered the area of ****************** concern.

A request was also made during this call that ************************* the owner come out immediately to look at the situation, but he is out of town at the moment and unable to come to the property.
He will not be returning until January 25th.

      **************,
We take customer satisfaction very seriously and will never leave a customers home in worse shape than we found it. Having said that, we live in an imperfect world and unfortunately your project caught a few snags. The metals pans have been ordered but due to the hail storm that hit earlier in the year materials (especially metal pans and siding) have been on back-order.
Then the hurricane hit which created more chaos.
As promised - everything will be replaced to your satisfaction.
As far as your claim of not receiving any return calls, ***** has reached out directly to you as recent as last week to provide an update on the status of the pans and had to leave you a voice mail. He provided you with his cell phone ************** to call him directly.
Due to the hurricane and our higher than usual call volume, our main line stays pretty busy.
But our emails and cell phones are always provided as a direct source of communication with our customers.

This situation has certainly taken longer than normal and for that we appreciate your patience and understanding up to this point.
***** is sure to reach out to you directly today to discuss the current timeline and project completion.

      Customer Answer

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I'm asking the BBB to keep our claim active until completely resolved .

I disagree with the term "SNAGS" , almost every single metal pan was scratched during installation, numerous pans were cut incorrectly , resulting in an unfinished carport for weeks , thus resulting in the collapse and damage to the left gutter (the gutter was not secured properly back onto the home) ,the collapse of this gutter was witnessed first hand by supervisor ******* as he was at our home responding to my concerns over numerous leaks of the Dura-last top (golf cart garage and sunroom patio area)

These are not "SNAGS" , this in my opinion is a result of incompetent workers and low supervision/quality control .

Aside from the Asphalt portion of the "NEW" roof we ordered , I ask that the remainder of the project be re-done (tin pans and Dura-last portions) properly by a competent experienced crew , including replacing the damaged gutter , or a full refund of those said sections .

Photos attached show spray paint used by workers to cover scratches , caulking used to try and stop leaks , patch work on brand new dura-last , and the damaged gutter

      Thank you

his is an amendment to a previously opened complaint file that has not been resolved , file # ******** , update information considering it's been over a week since last communication .

      UPDATE
Jan 2nd - 3 man crew came and disassembled 3/4 of carport leaving house and vehicles exposed to elements . Was told will be back tomorrow to finish .

Jan 3rd - no crew came back , had to call , was informed new tin was damaged , will be back tomorrow (Jan 4th)

Jan 4th - as of 11am still no crew , 4 calls put into 1st class roofing , still no answers , carport side of is now exposed to elements , at 11:55 am received a call from rep. ************ stating a crew is scheduled for Monday Jan 9th , the accumulation of nightly dew has been falling on sensitive electronic equipment , not noticed until too late resulting in a now inoperable golf cart , we will be asking these damage be repaired and paid for by 1st Class Roofing .

Jan 9th - no one has showed up

Jan - 10th still no show of crew , called 1st class roofing at 9:23am received voice mail "on holidays until 17th" , I find this completely unacceptable as our home will continue to be exposed to weather damage .
