    Our stay was booked for March 22nd-24th. We checked in 3pm the 22nd. They took a $100 deposit in case of issues with the room on our end. We went shopping at the outlets nearby & spent hundreds of dollars on new clothes. March 23rd, we went shopping for more clothes/items which we took to the room. We used their hot tub for some time & decided to go out to dinner before our bowling reservation. After dinner we had about an hour of downtime before bowling, so we were going to lay down & rest for a few before leaving out. Upon arrival to the hotel, we immediately noticed something crawling around the bed. To our surprise we found a live bed bug. We instantly moved any belongings near the bed, & went to the front desk to advise them. The front desk employee did not seem like this was a concern or big deal, and released our $100 deposit as he stated it was not needed any longer. He provided us an email address to send the pictures/video of the bug that the manager would have access to. He stated once we contacted Expedia for a refund & the manager reviewed the email, we would receive a refund for our stay. I sent the evidence to the email and we packed all our belongings, had to cancel the bowling reservations which we couldn’t be refunded for due to the timeframe of events. We went to the nearest laundromat & was there for over 2 hours drying all of our belongings, new & old. Did not arrive home until nearly 4am due to being from out of state. 3/30/24 We also found previous reviews we had no knowledge of beforehand of this same issue, in the same room we stayed in from 7 months ago, and on their site they had the room listed for sale. Upon sending the email, i have gotten no response. I contacted Expedia March 25th to initiate refund as I was told no manager could speak to them, so they mailed them a letter. March 30th, Expedia advised after speaking with them they would not issue me a refund. I sent another email and they still have yet to respond to me personally.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
    I have attached pictures showing the original request made to Expedia where they stated that the hotel denied my refund request after multiple attempts on their end to resolve this. Also attached, you will see the refund and registration document the hotel provided as follow up to my complaint where my card beginning and ending numbers are shown as highlighted, which do NOT match the card beginning and ending numbers to the card listed for the refund. Lastly, i have attached my bank statements from 03/22/24-03/27/24 and there is no refund from this time, nor anytime after, to this day i have not received any money back (As they stated they initiated the refund on 3/25/24). If i received a refund already, i wouldn’t still be trying to resolve this issue.
