On 5/13/2024 I paid $34.95 to view this website of grants available, for 30 days "free". I paid to file a grant (which I found 1 grant to apply for I thought, on the opening page) though it wasn't quite clear exactly what I was paying for at that point however, a gentleman called me on the phone immediately after I paid, speaking so fast I wasn't even able to jot notes down that fast. He did tell me that at the end of 30 days, I would pay $34.95 which is too expensive for me, so I was going to tell him to cancel and return my $34.95 right then as I wouldn't go any further, but he was so quick I couldn't do that fast enough! A few days later when I had a chance, I called to cancel and asked for my refund because I knew I wouldn't have the time to use this website. I was told the only way to get a refund is to be denied a grant after you apply. I asked about the 30 day "free" trial and they told me that was what the $34.95 was for. I was able to look around for 30 days. The man even said even though I was canceling, i would be able to look through the grants for 30 days however, that wasn't true either. I was "locked out" immediately upon my cancelling. I cancelled to make sure there would be no additional fees. This whole "membership" where in the beginning they don't tell you it's a "membership" that they charge you monthly for however, the only way to get your money back is to apply for a grant, be denied and send all the information to them to have your money returned "immediately"!! That part they tell you. I am assuming I will never hear from the 1 grant I applied for. This whole "grant" thing is a scam!Business response

I signed up for this website to apply for women in business grants, as I am currently unemployed from layoffs and the strike. The website seemed credible from the ".org" and I quickly signed up as they have a money back guarantee. Upon getting into it, it looked very unprofessional and shady, so I did some research and quickly found out that many customers have complained about authorized charges, not honoring the money back guarantee, etc. I requested a refund since my charge was still pending and I had no utilized the services at all. They ignored me at first and just canceled the membership. I followed up and they offered me $25. of the 34.95 or to utilize the money back guarantee. I won't be doing that because I am no longer comfortable with them having my credit card information or any of my personal information. This sounds like a great case for identity theft if I start filing out their forms to get $35 back after reading these reviews. As I originally stated, I wanted to resolve this amicably but I am also ready to fight this if needed.Business response

Opened an account through USA funding applications. Was told that if I did not receive a grant, that my money would be refunded. Instead, my bank account was continually charged each month with no contact from the company. When I called to get my money refunded, i was told that they are only a service and that i was supposed to do more steps like keep filing for more grants (that I'm not eligible for). The instructions are vague and misleading. In my opinion this is nothing but a scam to trick people in giving them access to bank accounts so they can continue to draw out money without providing any product. He told me the only way my money can be refunded is if i have a verification of denial of the grant. when i asked him how do i find that, he told me that his company is only a service and do not provide that information.Business response

I was told that if the grant didn’t happen that I would get this money back and that I could cancel at anytime. I am trying to cancel or call them and the number takes me to a request for a call. I want to cancel and get a refund for $34.95 on start up cost. Happened on march 17 got email charged march 20,2024. They also said that I could change my password but I am not finding how to do that on the site. USA funding applications is a fraud and I want no part of it.Business response

ON 2/28/24, I WAS SHOPPING FOR GRANTS FOR A START UP BUSINESS. I CAME ACROSS USA FUNDING APPLICATIONS ON LINE. THINKING THAT THIS WAS A GOVERNMENT SPONSERED BUSINESS. I APPLIED FOR THE GRANT AND PAID THE $29.95 FEE THAT WAS REQUESTED. I WAS SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL CONFIRMING THE TRANSACTION; AFTER 10-15 MINUTES OF NOT RECEIVING THE EMAIL, I BECAME SUSPICIOUS AND WENT BACK TO THE SITE TO CANCEL. THE SITE WAS ASKING FOR MY SIGN-IN INFORMATION, BUT I DIDN'T HAVE ANY SIGN-IN INFORMATION, BECAUSE I NEVER RECIEVED AN EMAIL. ON THE SITE WAS A PLACE WHERE I COULD CANCEL. SO, I SUBMITTED MY DEMOGRAPHICS AND CANCELLED. AFTERWARDS, THE SITE SHOWED THAT I HAD CANCELLED ON 3/27/24 AND IT STATED THAT I WILL NOT BE CHARGED; HOWEVER, TODAY, I NOTICED THAT MY ACCOUNT HAD BEEN CHARGED. SO, WHEN I CALLED THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT, I WAS TOLD BY JUAN THAT THE SITE DOES NOT SAY THAT AND THAT I AM STILL GETTING CHARGED BUT I WON'T BE CHARGED IN THE FUTURE. I TOLD HER THAT THAT SEEMED PRETTY UNFAIR AND THAT HER COMPANY APPEARS TO BE A "SCAM" AND THEY ARE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. I TOLD HIM THAT THE NAME IS VERY MISLEADING AND THAT I CANCELLED WITHIN 1/2 HOUR OF THE TRANSACTION; NOT TO MENTION I NEVER RECEIVED AN EMAIL OR ANY CORRESPONDENCE FROM THEM ABOUT THE TRANSACTION. SHORTLY AFTER THE TRANSACTION, LAST NIGHT, MY BANK MADE 2 AUTOMATED CALLS INQUIRING ABOUT THE TRANSACTION, BUT I HUNG UP WHEN I WAS ASKED PERSONAL INFORMATION. SO, I CALLED MY BANK THIS MORNING AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WILL SEND VIA MAIL A DISPUTE LETTER WHICH I WILL NEED TO FILL OUT AND MAIL IT BACK TO THEM OR BRING INTO ONE OF THEIR BRANCHES. I HAVE GOTTEN NOTHING OUT OF THIS DEAL EXCEPT AGGRAVATION, THIS COMPANY APPEARS TO BE A FRAUD AND SCAM I WOULD LIKE MY MONEY BACK. I AM LOOKING ON THE SITE NOW AND DO NOT SEE AN ADDRESS FOR THEM. I noticed a charge on my debt card of 34.95. I called the number that was with the withdrawl to ask what it was for. He stated that it was for a subscription to get grants. I did not authorize this, I didn't even know what it was until the charge on my debt card. The man stated it was started by a woman, I stated the only other female that was in our house was my 16 year old daughter & she didn't have authorization to use my card & she was under 18. didn't matter if she didn't have auth or even if she was underage. All the information that was given was wrong, they even had my age wrong. I did not sign up for this, I then went to find the charge online in my bank information. I then found that for the charge had been coming out for the last 4 months. There now had been $139.80 worth of charges. If they had just refunded me the $34.95 in the beginning I would never noticed it was happening for the last 4 months. Now I want the entire $139.80 back. But all the man would tell me is that my account would be cancelled.Business response

I signed up with USAGrantApplicaton.org and paid the initial fee of approximately $21.97. There was nothing discussed about a reoccurring monthly fee. It was not until my company saw a monthly charge of $34.95 on Feb 7. and March 8, 2024 that I contacted USAGrantApplication.org. I was told I have a 3 minute phone conversation that told me that there was going to be monthly charge. Nothing has been said about a monthly charge. I would like all the money refunded back to the credit card.Business response
