Absolutely terrible company. Been months and I've still not received a refund after they already picked up my mattress return. They sent a bogus screenshot of a bank transaction return and told me to talk to my bank. The bank said nothing was ever sent. The customer service refuses to transfer you to a supervisor or financial department.

Emma Mattress has been unresponsive in my request for their promised refund of Old Mattress Removal service. I placed about 8 phone calls, and 4 e-mails, none of the emails except one, were returned and I was promised a refund of the mattress removal service, which was cancelled. I was told on September 15th to wait 5 to 15 days after September5th for my refund, but it is September 22 and still no refund.

Like many other online retailers, Emma engages in an illegal practice known as "False Reference Pricing." The listed price of their mattress is not and never has been at any point what they actually sell for. Emma has a perpetual 50% off sale running at all times, occasionally running 60% off sales. However, 50% is the actual product price, with an occasional 10% off.

The company uses a false price to make the discount seem far larger than it actually is, and runs fake "countdown clocks" for sales ending that are also not true.

ie. Their "Memorial Day Sale" had a 6-hour countdown clock on 6/8.
"Sale" was still going on 6/12 with a new countdown.
"Sale" then changed to a "Father's Day Sale" on 6/13.
On 6/17 a countdown clock showed the "Fathers Day Sale" was ending in 15 hours.
On 6/21 a countdown clock showed the "Fathers Day Sale" was ending in 12 hours.

Emma's customer service was made aware that this practice was illegal and they responded with snark and sarcasm. They're quite aware of it, but are also aware that the fines are completely toothless and well worth the cost for the profits made for false advertising.

The product itself I own, and is actually quite fine, but I do not approve of scumbag marketing techniques.
