Dec 16 ***** (*****) and Rush Hour Printing (****) sign invoice for 200 books by Dec 31. There are specs detailed in the invoice Breck then paid. **** said payment by 5p that day to reserve one of only two slots left in the printing queue the week of Dec 26th. Note that ***** silk is specified, indicating it was either in stock or could be obtained.Dec 22 **** calls ***** asking to change binding for $1k more. He says proofs have been sent to the client with the cover and internal paper all being on 100lb paper and warns that the books may "fall apart" because of their size.***** said she is confused at the 100lb paper since that is a heavy cardstock paper. **** said the order was for 80lb of internal paper but he changed to 100lb because 80lb paper was flimsy. ***** said she is still confused because 100lb paper is heavy so it makes sense it would be a problem with saddle stitching because it's too heavy. **** said no problem, he'll change it back to 80lb. This is a problem though because our clients needed to sign off on the proofs in order to make the deadline. And according to ****, the proofs they got were not what we had ordered. In a later text message that same day when asked why **** changed the paper in the proof, he said "We did it on our own because we felt it gives the book a bit more character." Call later that day with 4 ***** employees and ****:**** said he printed the glossy proofs on 100lb covers and 80lb internal. The ***** team asks for clarification because on his call and texts with ***** earlier he said he sent the whole book on 100lb paper. He now changed to saying he printed 100lb covers and 80lb internal sheets. **** repeatedly changed whether he printed on **************** or a comparable.***** said that **** cannot keep his story straight, we don't know what was sent to our client as a proof, and we would like a refund. **** said "ok." ***** asked "a full refund?" **** said "a full refund."Dec 26 **** changed his mind on the refund
