A few months ago I posted on a site looking for a driving service to pick me up at ***. Jen's Personal Driving Service was suggested, as hey are local and woman owned, I went with them. The Saturday before pick up (April 16) I was messaging the driver about our flight, but there was no response. I was in another country so began to panic. I emailed the company directly (Jen) and was informed we had a new driver. That wild have been nice to know. As we landed on Sunday April 17, I messaged the driver (also the company manager) Katie that we had landed and collecting our bags. We went to pick up, but she was not there. We had to text/call to pick a spot to meet. Frustrating after an over 12 hour travel day. Then Katie stopped for gas, very unprofessional. Then after we dropped the first person off, we go 3 minutes from y house and she did an illegal u turn and went back to the turnpike to get gas! Twice?? I finally made it home and asked Katie about change for the service and tip. She said they do not have change and to *****. So I did. She waited until it went through, checking the amount ($270). It was not until days later I was informed the amount quoted included tip! Katie, the manager, took my money knowing it was included. Not once did the just say, you only need to pay the $240 for service, very unethical. I did email the owner and inform her of the unprofessional service and she did offer a partial refund, which I did initially decline because I did not want her company to pay for the driver. But the extra tip is where I draw the line and should have never been paid. The owner, Jen is telling me I need to talk with Katie, who has not responded to me. This is Their internal issue, not mine. The company itself should inform clients of these things in the agreement. I should get my full service back, but am only requesting the extra $30 I should not have paid.
