  We hired Deering Rose of "Chaos to Calm Home Editing" in January to facilitate the estate sale of our family home of 45 years in ********* *** Our working relationship ended in March. I found her behavior so disturbing that I’m detailing it here with the goal of helping others avoid this experience. Yes we sold a good deal of items, however, working with her absolutely wasn't worth it. She was simply too difficult.
  My chief concern is that she entered my home after I terminated our contract and she confirmed the termination – and removed four unsold dining-room chairs that I planned to keep. Also, a check Ms. Rose wrote for some items she did sell, bounced. In response to my inquiries on when we’d be paid for online auction items she sold, she included a message with egregious language quoted below.
  “Your tyrannical need and desire for this power trip and self-absorbed authoritarian control status is quite ridiculous when you are a grown woman living off your daddy.”
  I believe her dislike for me came from my multiple questions and attempts to understand the complicated estate sale process. I never attacked her verbally or via email.
  When my broker contacted her to let her know I was very upset that she entered my house after our termination date, Ms. Rose’s tone and manner escalated sharply. She replied with a convoluted text message informing me that I was going to be sued by a person who purchased a bed from us through her for $250.
  On her website and in person upon first meeting, Ms. Rose projects an image of competence, which is why I hired her in the first place. This is far from the case. As my lifelong friends will tell you, I’m not a malicious person. However, I can’t in good conscience keep this experience to myself when I know Ms. Rose’s behavior could harm others who are going through the exhausting and emotional process of emptying their homes.

  Carrie, C2C worked tirelessly at your home and we put on an amazing sale and sold many of your families items. No member of C2C ever entered your home after we both agreed that C2C would =not be doing the home clean out, I believe this is the area where you state we terminated our relationship. The women that purchased your families bed in question very generously agreed to leave the bed in the home for staging purposes. Then when the house had sold you very rudely told C2C what day she would be able to take the bed out, but she was on holiday with her family and your behavior was quite rude to this buyer who again had generously left the bedframe in the house for you. Then you would not allow the women to come and pick up the bed that she had purchased unless it was on a day and time that you requested, but you were not even in CT to meet with the buyer, C2C and your realtor were. C2C went over all our details in person and in writing many times with you and we feel that we did a very successful job with your families home. Your father and sister were very happy with us and all that we did. I am sorry that you do not feel the same way with all the work we did.
